My Fishing Companion Pro

Update-I have no button to import my data from older platform and lost over 2 years of data. You can select gear from lookup table, date/time, weather and GPS auto populate, but species, technique and description free form text don't populate from the previous trip event. No dedicated Fly (or lure, bait) field. When I enter a species not contained in the lookup table the new species is not added to the table for future use.

This application doesn't deliver as advertised. I'm disappointed with the paid version. Would appreciate a refund. Will not recommend to anyone.

Liked it at first.. but after I put in my information and put in my locations.. it locked up .. I reopened the program and all the information was lost.. ouch

Use this app to keep track of the fish my fishing buddy and I catch. We will compare catches at the end if the season.

But....just bought a new phone....export option does not work....think its the phone....so the data here is gone.....love to see a alternative....dropbox...etc.....and would be nice to have a box to check for keep/release fish in the add fish area

Great app but weather details don't match local observations, every thing else spot on.

Been using since 2014 and would have rated 5 stars if it had been synced to Cloud as planned??

Not a bad app, after initial setup looking forward to taking advantage of features with this app and My fishing advisor app.

Wish it automatically recorded moon phase and tide info but love the rest. Hopefully soon !

Like this app a lot, just need to be able to change or insert location gps points manually and change gps format

Nice app but missing some key features. Most notably it should allow for setting time/date of caught fish from a picture timestamp. Maybe even geotag info from image if it exists. If you are not logging your fish through the app as it's happening, it can be a real pain to add the fish later. Lite version should allow you you to add at least one media image so you can see that this app doesn't have the timestamp option. Would love to see some tide info integration but the app is conspicuously missing many features for saltwater. (ie.. Location Type has no options for beach) Also missing some very common fish species like Bluefish and have to type it in everytime instead of adding it to the DB as a user fish so it can be selecting it from the dropdown. All in all this is the best app of its kind that I've tried, but it could be so much more with some strategic tweaks.

Only wish could put multiple markers save point on map . It's great that post pic for bait an gear places

Very well layed out pages and loads of useful information stored at your fingertips for when you need it most on the water. Love it - look forward to mode features as the app matures. Update: Upgraded to Samsung Note 4 and I cant get the settings button up to import from csv. Reported to developer - hoping there is a fix.

This app is great for logging your fishing activities. My only concern is that the latest version was back in 2012. Hopefully the developer is still active on the project and it will continue to get bug fixes and new features!

This app does everything it says it will and even more, it even helps you remember the spots you were in, That were not producing fish. There is really a lot you can do with this app....

Developer listens. Updates often and the app is perfect for fishing, what more could you want from a fishing app? Well worth the money!

Has all the basic fearures but also goes even further giving you even more options. I particularly like the map feature, as I've just recently started fishing in new waters. Having the ability to show fish on the map allows me to quickly get an overview of where the hotspots are. And the app also helps me understand what lures catch fish in the new waters! The developer also seems keen to incorporate improvements suggested by users, as the app has a built in request function. I really like this app!

This is the best app I have found so far but there is one improvement that would make a 5 out of 5. PLEASE PLEASE make the map interactive so you can click on the fish marker and get the details. Without this it is i have to sort through about 100 fish to find the one I want in the history.

Perfect for recording fish. I w ould like to be able to click on a google map icon of a fish and see which fish were caught in each location. Docked two stars due to lack of updates in over two years. This is a dead app that had huge potential.

After trying many apps, i found this one. I have since then uninstalled all of the others. great job...

I fish almost daily. I track everything. It has good functionality and is easy to use. I just wish it had a picture option.

Needs the option to add location to the info panel from the stored locations. Also could do with the ability to edit the fish species list. with these tweaks its a 5 star app

Wind speed in mph in South Africa we use kph. Other wise it is a cool app.

Some time gets catch location wrong but generally easy to use and track your catching info. Love the catch map.

Not only can I keep track of tackle but fish caught as well EXCELLENT program a must have for anyone that likes to fish

does not reconise a lot of different species of fish so would be perfect if the app remembered what you typed for fish type and discriptions box

Great program just could be better if you could sort fish caught by lake also.

Fantastic app, the best i have found. Only problem i have found is that the location types are somewhat limited eg. I have to select hotspot for my local beach fish as beach not in location types, same with a rock groyne theres no location option. I would love to see the option to name your own location types and have them saved in the dropdowns similar to how gear/setups do. Many thanks for a great app too! :-)

Outstanding APP!!!!! I have been using this app since May of 2012! If no cell phone in area you can go back later and mark an area. Has helped me out tremendously remembering all my spots on a very large body of water!!!!!!!

Seems cool but when using the map/gps location to add a new fishing location , freezes and crashes often....pls fix and id rate 5star

A bit labor intensive to set up gear combinations but gives a great overview of what was used on your fishing trips. Ties weather, water conditions, gear setups, tackle, location and fish caught all in one easy to read location.

I have been using this app all year long. Easy to use. Love that I can take pictures of my tackle and gear. Helps me remember what that Fly or rubber Worm is called. The automatic data collection for date and weather conditions is awesome. It's easy to add fish quick with picture and weight for a quick release. After the day I go back and can edit the gear used for each fish. This is the best fishing app and from what I can tell it's not for ipod. My brother and dad are so jealous. You will love this app!
