About LAUSD School Search 2.0
LASchool App is a free and easy to use mobile application that allows anyone to search for Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) schools by school name, type (elementary, middle, high school etc.), address, principal, or Instructional Director. It also allows the user to get directions to the school using the built in Android functionality. Search results produce phone number, address, principal name, Instructional Director name, board district etc.

This application was created under the direction of the Office of Curriculum and School Support of the Los Angeles Unified School District. The data is updated at least monthly in collaboration with the Office of Data and Accountability.

LAUSD employees who register to use this app will have additional functionality enabled in the LASchool App. By signing up using the LAUSD email, an email will be sent to verify ownership of the email account. To complete registration, click on the link included in the email. Verified users will be able to search for principal email addresses. This functionality is limited to LAUSD employees.
NOTE: This is a new improved version of the LASchool app with additional features and bug fixes. Please, uninstall the previous app and download this app to continue using the improved, fixed version.

Error mssg upon starting. Error report wants to send to someone at Gmail (not LAUSD). Won't geo-locate my loc, so I can't map a route from my loc. "Schools near me now" feature won't work (error). All schools show as being 7800 miles away. No Principal's email link (even though logged in with LAUSD login). Emailed Ms Carranza (contact listed in app) weeks ago, who said she'd get back to me. So far no further response.
