Works ok, same issues as others with app skipping to foreground. Would also like to see settings accessed via the app

U70%
by U####:

App is very poor drops in and out doesn't alway communicate info.Would be good if system had a boost all zones by a couple off centigrade for a short period. And if tracked weather to minimise over shoot temp. System otherwise excellent.

Z70%
by Z####:

Have been using the App both at home and travelling and works well. Have 7 zones, and the App replicates the main control unit well. Certainly recommend the system if zone control is what you are looking for.

U70%
by U####:

This app was working fine but now I can't see my schedule or update it although I can change the temperature, extremely frustrating!!

I70%
by I####:

Works as it should. Would be an improvement if you could copy schedules from one zone to another like you can on the Evohome controller.

H70%
by H####:

Works as described. Would like to see history or a way to output data to cloud storage, a widget and compatibility with external apps like IFTTT.

O70%
by O####:

After last update it show strange temperatures and setpoint on evo home. Cannot change modes or setpoint

U70%
by U####:

It keeps crashing

U70%
by U####:

I've got an evohome and four HR92 TRVs. Is it better than a single zone solution like a nest or hive? Of course. But, and it's a big but, the system depends on the app and the app isn't quite good enough. At a purely mechanical level there are some issues: the app randomly launches itself into the foreground when the network status changes. It logs me out for no reason. I can't access system settings from it. More generally it lacks some of the slickness of its competitors.

P70%
by P####:

I'm using the app on a Samsung. Galaxy S5 and it is well laid out and reasonably intuative. The problem arises when you make a temporary change to a zone temperature. The app just makes the change permanent and then it has to be cancelled at the head unit. This really defeats the object of being able to control the system remotely. Come on Honeywell, sort it out. Your app is ruining what is otherwise a good product!!

B70%
by B####:

Design good. Very slow to open app and connect. Changing the temperature is very clunky. App keeps crashing since update. I too am experiencing issues with the app poping into the foreground in the middle of doing something else. Overall disappointed. Paid a fair amount for my system this app is a complete let down. Before releasing an update please test it first.

G70%
by G####:

Title says it all. Honeywell really need to sort this out. Spent lots on the kit but really let down by this app. Actual system works very well. And Honeywell: don't tell me like others to log my issues elsewhere. People are commenting here, so you can record the issues on your system on behalf of them.

U70%
by U####:

An excellent ecosystem in what's becoming a competitive sector. Updates are sadly infrequent and still too many issues. Temp change process, web logouts and ease of multi-zone control are all concerns for me. Addressing reported issues feels slow and bugs can escape the QA process. If you enable Android developer options, be aware as one causes this app to request account details where other apps don't.

U70%
by U####:

Apparently I commented on an older version. So here's the new version which is even worse. The app just seems clumsy and forgotten. I've never known an app log me out as much as this one. It's not like it's my bank and someone may rob me blind if they guess my login details. If I was the developer I would wipe this and start again. Great idea in principle. However it fails to hit the mark. With so much technology and competition out there, as a developer I'd be a little disappointed in my delivery.

V70%
by V####:

I chose to upgrade my heating system with honey well so I could use existing boiler controller. App is OK but needs various obvious improvements mentioned in other reviews. Please assure us developer is actively working on improvements.

U70%
by U####:

Usable, but still buggy. Current biggest bug: every week or so the app forgets its login credentials, very painful to keep manually logging in on my phone

U70%
by U####:

- application keeps popping to the foreground when my phone loses network connection. (annoying when navigating in the car) - and it randomly logs me out. This happens multiple times a month. (annoying when quickly trying to increase the home temperature when leaving work and it asks me for my credentials)

U70%
by U####:

Well was ok, but fir last couple of days refuses to connect so have to mark it down gor time being. Works most of the time, but has a very annoying feature that every time the network charges eg from wifi to 4g or losses connect this app pops up in the foreground. Often it pops up covering my sat nav when driving, this really needs sorting out.

Q70%
by Q####:

The app is increasingly buggy running on Android 7.1.1 on a Pixel. As other reviews mention it launches itself into the foreground when the network changes but most annoyingly it will only do one change of settings per session. If I open the app I can configure just fine but if I switch back to it and change a setting it will time out and Android will tell me the app has stopped working. When this happens I submit the feedback but Honeywell appear unresponsive as there have been no updates to the app.

D70%
by D####:

I love my Evohome system, but the App is very annoying. Only this App logs me out. Only this App doesn't let me log back in again easily. Only this App takes forever to load. No help from support. Very disappointing.

U70%
by U####:

Firstly the user experience is apauling for something created by a multi national. Perhaps they should employ a stay at home app developer! The actual Implementation takes weeks to get your head around as they haven't thought through real life use. I am VERY dubious about the actual accuracy and what's is going on and frustratingly there is no way to see if a zone is ACTUALLY calling for heat without going into the loft and looking to see if modules are alight!! Also why no real feel!

B70%
by B####:

Slow and laborious to use. A triumph of technology over need. Fails to work on more occasions than not giving the reason that there is no internet connection.. which there is as all the other apps work.

U70%
by U####:

I've got 12 HR92s+HW - good system but the app needs work. The ideas are ok, but lacking in some areas and execution is poor in too many places. @Honeywell, are you working on any updates please? Perhaps you could publish the features/improvements you're working on somewhere so people can see what's coming and make other suggestions? Analytics and website controls missing too - compare with other zoned TRV systems (you know the one - try their demo account!).

N70%
by N####:

Whenever I change the target temperature on the app the thermostat quickly changes its display to show an update in temperature. This can happen up to a whole degree without turning any heating on. Really dubious about this systems accuracy.

U70%
by U####:

I cannot install the app on my tablet (Android 4.0.4) It says the app is created for phones and is not compatible with tablets. Can it be fixed? More than a month past - NO reaction!

U70%
by U####:

3 ideas (last 2 old but still not integrated): define temp settings (like 'daytime 20C', 'nighttime 17C') and then select these predefined settings when creating daily room schedules. That way I can adjust temp for every single schedule in one go if I want to change preset temp; a flame symbol in a zone indicating that this particular zone has requested heat & switched on the relay; log of events to help find out which zones turn on the heating at which times and this would help fine tuning the system

U70%
by U####:

The app has a life of its own. Sometimes it accepts the instructions, sometimes it doesn't, crashes very often. When a change in temperature or schedule is input, you can never be sure that it is going to be accepted by the system, unless you manually input it through the central unit thereby defeating the whole purpose of having an app. Too silly for words. Also, there is no simple way of reverting to schedule after temporary changes are made to more rooms. Needs more work both in design and programming.

W70%
by W####:

Typical honeywell, makes what should be simple complex. Why (and how) does the app launch itself into the foreground? That is what notifications are for. It's my phone, it's not your device to take over when the network changes - and since the system runs from the evohome why does it care anyway? If you can't connect when I'm using it tell me then.

C70%
by C####:

Overall the app is decent but there are several issues. 1) Every time my phone connects to or disconnects from wifi, the app opens, so constantly opening. 2) I'd say 10% of temperature changes I make via app don't happen. Instead I later get an email stating the temp change failed. There should be an immediate notification via app or better yet memory so the app reattempts to make the temp change. 3) History! Please introduce an option to track temp in each room with graphs and times when boiler was firing, how long rooms take to heat etc, would add massively usability to the entire system.

Doesn't seem to want to link up together get an error saying the communication with the thermostat has been lost. Was fine I have deleted app and reinstalled but doesn't seem to have any effect

U70%
by U####:

App gets worse with every update. Keep it simple please... We pay for quality and not for quantity!

U70%
by U####:

Has potential to be ace, but some development required. Could you add a feature to have some presets you could customise and save? Eg: you could set certain zones to be certain various temps at the touch of a single button. Another eg: If I go to bed early (ahead of the usual daily schedule), I'd like to press one preset button to fire up the bathroom and bedroom, and also drop the main living areas down. At present I have to adjust each zone individually. This can be an amazing app-please give it some development.

T70%
by T####:

Constant logging out. App popping into foreground. Constant saying I don't have an internet connection when I do. Slowest loading time ever. You spend £500+ then get given this app - what a joke. The fact this has been like this for the year that I've had it shows that they have little care for customer service and wont be fixing it anytime soon.

B70%
by B####:

Almost always crashes when changing locations (3rd location) - now a bit faster loading it seems.

J70%
by J####:

It's pretty basic, but it does the job. Would be useful if it told you which zones were currently being actively heated. Would also be nice if we had access to the temperature profiles of various rooms, and the 'smart' calculations, like room profile etc. That way we could make informed choices about setting up the heating schedule, insulating etc.

G70%
by G####:

I enjoy the Honeywell system in my home. It works and give me more comfort than when I had a single thermostat. But...I think the app can be quite easily improved: 1. Make sure the name of the special program is visible in the app. 2. Allow rooms to be grouped so it's easier to manage behaviour of similar rooms 3. Make it multiuser so for example you can restrict usage of the app for your teenage kids 4. Make a tablet version. 5. Add the ability to setup notifications

U70%
by U####:

Thank you Honeywell for a quick reply and promptly sorting this app out for me. Things are working just fine now

V70%
by V####:

Easy to edit schedules, do quick actions etc. It's slow, but I don't have the problems other reviewers have mentioned such as popping into foreground and logging out. I recommend using the IFTTT 'do' buttons and widget as well, as I use those as much as the app itself.

L70%
by L####:

Lacks a bit of finess. Randomly logs itself off. Randomly launches. Suspect random log off is the problem with the Alexa skill as well. Come on honeywell you need to make the whole thing more reliable it doesn't look good!

U70%
by U####:

The app displays bizarre temperature data unrelated to what's going on in our home and unreflective of the Evohome base unit - if it was 62 degrees Celsius in here, I think I'd know about it (And it's definitely not displaying Fahrenheit!)
