Welcome to the SCE Demand Response (DR) Alerts App! Download and set up the app to start receiving courtesy alerts for upcoming SCE DR events. Customize the app to receive alerts when a DR Event is scheduled, started, and/or ended based on your selected DR program and desired geographic area.
The SCE DR Alerts App can help you stay informed about following program events:
- Summer Discount Plan (SDP) for Residential or Business
- Save Power Day (SPD)
- Summer Advantage Incentive (SAI) for Residential or Business
- Real Time Pricing (RTP)
- Capacity Bidding program (CBP)
- Demand Bidding Program (DBP)
- Base Interruptible Program (BIP)
- Agricultural Pumping Interruptible (API)
PLEASE NOTE: This app only provides courtesy SCE DR alerts and does not provide any SCE account management features. SCE provides another app titled MySCE that lets you view your account, manage your energy use, and pay your bill online.
A network connection is also required for full app functionality.

This app is pointless. I have had four SDP Events in the last two weeks and have not received any notifications. Don't waste the space on your phone. I know at one point it used work. However, when it did work, the notifications arrived so close to the event start time that it didn't provide enough time to do anything about it (leave the house or try to cool the house down ahead of time).

Notifications keep defaulting back to off. Even when the are on, I still don't receive them. That's the whole reason for the app.

Doesn't notify you about the events. You need to open the app to check. Better than nothing, but needs to be improved.

There is plenty of room for improvement. Sometimes it sends multiple notifications with conflicting information. Don't know if that is a glitch.

This app would be much more useful if it actually gave Android notifications for the events I'm interested in. If I can know in advance that my AC is turning off (without having to check the app) I can make plans to be somewhere else.
