HondaLink for Android
For Q3 2016, Android dominated the smartphone market with a share of 86.8%, iOS holds less than 1/4th of the smartphone market at 18.7% share. Honda put 90% of their focus and development to iOS when it comes to their Honda Link systems. Leaving 86.8% of us out in the dark. Clearly whoever heads this part of Honda has their head up their you-know-what, and should be fired for not putting 100% focus toward at least three of the main smartphone OS's. Android, iOS, Windows 10 Mobile
Does not connect to the car. Does not do anything that Google does not already do by default. Waste of time and space. I just want to have the car see my phone and by able to see the phone's GPS on the car's screen. The car's user interface is awful and a distraction and want to limit the number of devices I must use while I am driving.
Registered and set up account and tried to send information to my new car... but honda link on my car will not accept incoming crap from my phone.. waste of time ... deleting in as soon as I finish posting this review!
Connects to car but gives zero useful features. Why should I connect my phone to the car and use this app when all it gives me is the weather and tells me where I parked? I am sure this app is better on Apple, but Honda should be giving new features to Android. Would not recommend as of right now.
Hondalink is useless. Samsung and Honda can't seem to release software which properly communicates. Each time Android updates, my car cannot recognize my phone. I love my S6, not so much my civic. A shame... its brand new. (2016) Thanks for NOTHING Honda. I will never buy another vehicle from you again.
You guys only creates the most important hondalink for iPhone users, what about the androids. Yall telling me If I got an android don't get a Honda car with the hondalink option? Stupid asses
Completely useless app for Android phone owners. I guess most of the useful features only work for iPhone or don't work at all. My Pilot was clearly showing that my phone was connected via bluetooth, but the app was not picking it up and wanted me to setup the connection again.
I wish I could give a zero. This app does nothing useful. If it was my job to create an app for Honda, and this is what I come up with.... I would be fired
Not a terrible app, but I would like to see more vehicle data on the app, like oil %, fuel level, mileage, etc... Just today I tried to see in the morning what my mpg was and if I needed to stop for gas on my way to work, those would be nice to see in the app. All I use this for now, is to get a copy of my VIN if I call the dealer.
Good App. Just don't know where I can add my second honda civic. I had purchased 2017 Civic Hatchback Sport touring and a 2017 Civic Hatchback EX. Can't add the second one to Honda link
It's almost 2017, this app is a waste of space for Android platform. Doesn't connect to the car either. Why does this exist?
Come on You do better than this useless waste of cyberspace. Thank you have a nice day
Always comes up with errors had in dealer a few times. Would not rely. On this app!
This app is junk. The Bluetooth in my car doesn't recognize my phone. This app needs a drastic upgrade.
Won't work with my Samsung S7 and 2016 Honda Accord Touring
For some reason it shows everything in miles instead of kms. No idea why. I've deleted the vehicle, scanned the barcode, entered it manually, always miles. No way to change it I can see. Sent email to Dev but it bounced back.
Honda link does not work with Samsung galaxy s7.
Can't change units from imperial to metric. Can't schedule service. App won't update.
Too many flaws to even bother typing up. Honda get your stuff together!
App will not accept my password. many tries with the correct password.
App has got improved. Good job. Improve the icon!
Total waste of space. Very useless.
Nothing useful in this AP
Use it to schedule service and track maintenance
Wow. It really doesn't do a whole lot, does it....?
Getting better
Useless
Sad to say, the one star reviews are all correct. This app does nothing useful that is not better handled by more useful apps that are readily available. Using just the plain Bluetooth connection to my phone is superior to what can be done with Honda Link.
Given the time to setup and required information, the app is completely useless as most others indicated. If Honda wants to make this of value, add car diagnostic features, autostart and things that are meaningful.
Honda's apparently focused ALL their efforts on crApple. None of the "next gen" features appear to be available on Android.
The reminders for service are useful but the rest of the tools are useless. The worst is the parking finder: "use this tool to mark your location on the map, take pictures of the area, and jot down note so you can easily locate your car...." So basically just use a vanilla note pad cuz it'll be easier. Hey Honda, how about you let the IT guys design the app instead of the marketing intern!
For everyone with connectivity issues you need to go into your Bluetooth settings find the handsfreelink select settings. And only select call audio and media audio. Uncheck contacts and messages. 2016 civic touring and Verizon note 5.
Any other mirror link app will do 10x better. Sad story.
If you don't have the most popular "Phone" like iPhone or galaxy w.e. it's not gonna work.
This is the only "key" to allow Aha to work on 2016-17 vehicles. "Honda link with Aha" is only for pre 2016 vehicles. Create a HondaLink (HL) and then a Aha account online. Now populate Aha with stations. Install the HL and Aha apps on your phone. Start HL on your phone, then start your car, select Aha on the car display screen... it work
This app is completely useless , why it's on the App Store I have no idea, waste of time.
Not much to it. Expected more from Honda. Did help finding recalls on my old Honda.
If you want us to use this app, please make it just like AcuraLink.
Really like the new features. Keep it coming!

I scheduled service with this and it was so totally confusing I ended up with 2 appointments. It prevents FIT owners from linking Google Maps through their phone. AND you can't even buy their expensive Navigation app. Really? I don't want their's a and why can they track me, but they won't let me use the same software to see where I am myself? Bad move Honda!
