USB Media for Nexus Player for Android
This app works reliably on the Nexus Player to support NTFS files. The prompt when connecting a drive can be a little tricky if you have more than one drive connected. Definitely worth the purchase!
Very thoughtfully designed app for the Nexus Player. It works with every USB drive I've connected (both FAT32 and ExFAT). It works great when paired with MX Player. The interface can be a little busy, with several ways to browse the same content, but it's still very easy to use. The app is basically just "plug & play". When I first installed it, my device would crash when trying to play high-bitrate videos, but that problem has either gone away on its own, or has been fixed.
I actually bought this because i was sure it would work. It crashes on my Nexus Player every time I try to open it
Developer is responsive and open for discussion about his application. This application looks fantastic and works pretty well.

Outstanding. Successfully mounted my portable 500GB USB 3.0 Western Digital (bus-powered) hard drive and played videos from it. Took a minute or so to index all the files, and then presented all the folders that contained video at the same level. Thought I'd have preferred to browse the folders as they appear on the drive, but this is actually faster. If I had deep nested "adult" video folders, I would be worried, but I don't, so it's all good. I did get a crash trying to play one video, but I think it was just a fluke. Not taking a star off for what's probably Google's or Asus's fault.
