First day app worked great, next morning in the house and app doesnt work at all (LG5) my sister had it on her phone (Samsung Galaxy S7) it barely worked for her correctly from the beginning. I see now why this app has a majority of 1 star....hope this gets fixed but by the looks of things probably not. So I got 2 more house that Swann isn't going to be the camera of choice.

This app is awful and Swann should be ashamed to release a product this abysmal and non functional. It simply doesn't work most of the time. Trying to show a crime to cops in person with iLad, Android, and Windows, and in because of garbage soft ware. Return this camera system and brand while you still can.

Absolutely useless. App won't load majority of the time & when it does it takes forever. What's the point of having access to a live system that can't even load! Receive an email alert to advise camera has picked up motion but then the app won't load to see what is going on. Useless. Samsung Galaxy s7

Useless app. reinstalling all the time to fix connections. Will freeze when any selection is made. Cant playback. And going by the other reviews the company does not care that its app is horrible Not worth one star. Don't buy swann if it comes with this app. Just hoping the cameras and dvr performance is better than the app. (Couldn't be worse) Swann will you reply???

What a useless application, it looses its remote connection with the recorder unit and you can't reconnect to it unless you're back home. Not good when I was six thousand bloody miles away. Well done swann. There's a whole raft of other niggles, but I just can't be bothered right now.

Trying to load playback while I am not out is pointless when i am even connected to wifi it won't work. Trying to set up notifications for when it is set up is useless following the instructions gets me no where. Seems like they rolled it out and haven't bothered to fix their issues.

Not too bad. You just have to configure the video settings for live and playback. Lower a bit the fps and other video qualities and your good to go. But there are times the app freezes and have to restart again. My previous Arlo cam has better playback than this app. It still needs a lot of improvements.

Easy to setup, no problems there. But... was only able to connect by WiFi at home. When I went out am hour after setup and checked the app, the DVR was not even listed, so no way to connect with it. I notice in the help section of the app it says works on 3G and WiFi. But I am on a 4G network. Could that be why?? Samsung Galaxy S5.

Terrible app, viewing playback and live stream when I am away from home is frustratingly slow, it will take 1min to load 1sec. This makes the whole system useless. I have to manually select the cameras everytime when doing playback. Why can't it remember which cameras I have?

What a load of $#!£. It crashes more times than it works. Playback is atrocious, lags and very jumpy. Samsung software worked perfectly so not phone or internet. Ridiculous that I'm having to look for more reliable third party software! Get it sorted Swann.

Push notifications keeps randomly turning off; App always freezing up. I keep getting "Homesafe View isn't responding....". Have to force stop app. Customer service was absolutely no help. #WorthlessApp

This app is terrible.. good for live view but useless for playback. Having playback is the reason for having cctv. Can't believe buying a brand name system can have such a crappy app. Playback causes everything to freeze and shuts off. Very disappointed:-(

The app woks but you must open the app then re-establish a connection with the DVR---then connects immediately from any location for live view. However, the playback feature is slow and clunky in my tablet and phone. However, it works better on my computer. Is it a horrible app---no, not at all. Could it use improvements---absolutely. However, HD is clear for viewing. I'm using it on a Note 5 and Galaxy Tab 2014.

It worked for the first few days it was installed and then every time I loaded it I had to manually add the system. Now it won't even let me load it manually it has connect errors. Fix your stupid app or at least give us the ddns server address so we can use one of the other viewing apps that Swann offers.

Absolutely terrible - great cameras that are impossible to access remotely due to the very poor software and help page. Works on my I phone but only on my Android phone when connected to my home network. Will not work on my work Windows PC even with super fast broad band. Navigation pane in Windows is like something from the 80's. Do not buy these products until they have fixed the software.

Absolutely dreadful app. Most of the time it just freezes / hangs, and a forced-stop of the app is required to allow you to re-access it. Rarely will it let you view the time you want; it just shows a completely different time of footage. How can Swann release this rubbish for use?

Worked fine on galaxy s4 (wife) & s7 until latest update. Now, app closes as soon as anything is selected. Stupid me. I knew I should have left well enough alone. App still works on wife's phone because she didn't update like her dummy husband did.

Absolutely awful. Would not have bought the CCTV kit if I knew the app was so hopeless. Absolutely non-intuitive and totally unable to watch playback. Don't buy Swann CCTV until this is fixed.

Live view is good ON MY S8 PLUS would give 5 stars BUT PLAY BACK WOULDNT GIVE EVAN 1. Tried on 4g not luck. Just doesn't work. Otherwise I like it. Plesse do something about remote play back

Got it set on my S8+ and viewing my security cameras through my cellphone works fine. But can't turn on alarm to get notifications cause it completely shuts off and then have to reset it all over again .

works great on my s8, but fails all the time on my Samsung tablet, have to uninstall and reinstall, no live feed comes up and can't review playback. needs update for newer android versions, totally unusable on tab s3

It always freeze on my app. I would have to sometime uninstall and reinstall to get it back up. And also close all my app and go back. I wish it was alot better.

Can this app be updated to support a better range of aspect ratios? Most flagship devices are now in a 18:5 aspect. Also, the UI is horrid, please update it. I've been getting error messages that clear every time I open the app. "Sorry, application experienced exception. Close app"

The app is good for live feed viewing but nothing else. The alarm notification went off the first day I turned them on and hasn't gone off since even though motion was detected multiple times! The playback never works. It opens up but if you try to fast forward it just freezes. Useless unless you want to just stare at your screen all day.

The most frustrating app. Have to constantly close and restart to get live view to work. Then most of the time when it does, I have to reload all of my cameras in the app. Just garbage.

It freezes all the time. You have to re-establish connection with every camera dvr everytime after you do a playback and sometimes playback doesn't even work. Then when you try to re-establish those connections, it doesn't want to load. The "push" option for getting alarm notifications turns off on its on. WTH!! Thought this was suppose to be legit

The app is terrible. Easy to connect but then keeps disconnecting from the unit. Notifications barely work and keep switching off, playback is very clumsy (when it works). You can not rely on this as an away from home security device.

Won't load and when i dose it crashes,live view won't load. Works just ok on samsung s6 edge but hopeless on samsung tablet.

Can only use app when at home connected to wifi which is pointless as can view it on TV at home. Brought this so could view when out and at work using other Internet services. Useless to use away from home

Worked fine for a week, now doesn't. Wasted £500 on CCTV I cannot view. Rebooted reset etc etc nothing. Delete download start again...still no luck.

Convienent when it works. Time is off by 1 hour and playback is not up to present time there is slways a 30 minute delay. Constantly freezes on playback SG8Plus

Serious non connection issues. Please fix or give us access to another app that will work. Currently useless.

Unable to connect my Samsung devices using this app. Swann view link logs on first time every time. Why won't this? Useless.

Works fine for me. You need to set the substream low for streaming purposes. I also imagine most people complaining have poor throughput or an old phone. This is a great utility for its intended purpose.

Playback and live view Works great connected direct to the modem but like most people rating this app i definately agree that this app is pretty useless. the system is pretty much only good for recording while you are absent and live view on a screen connected at home. the app away from home definately has no use. If this was improved it might be a half decent app

This is by far the worst app I have come across. Keeps disconnecting, you have to check and restore settings nearly 5 times a day. I am surprised that SWANN being such a goid brand haven't done anything about it. Or atleast give some clarifications on the issues.

Poor app at present. Please update ASAP as it spoils what is otherwise very good hardware. App unstable and constantly crashes especially when trying to playback.

This app sucks! The whole idea is to be able to see your house when you leave. does not work when you're out of the house. Any other app I can use with my cameras?

Great App works well .I have a Swann DVR 1580 modelwith the duel usb ports on the front of the unit. Great image when main stream is selected. Have been using this App for a while now no issues . To get a stable connection make sure port 85 is open if not redirect port forward to 86 , or 87 with router , and also issign a static ip address in the router for the dvr

Lasts about a week at a time then stops connecting to the cameras. Reinstall solves it for another few days, but really?
