Use Your Desk Space
Your work may be boring, but your desk doesn't have to be. Try decoupaging pictures and postcards on the top or the drawer fronts. Repaint or reupholster your chair. If storage is needed, go to the flea market for cool finds. Don't underestimate lighting. Again, try the flea market or a big box store for inexpensive desk lamps.

Organizing
If you can, install several shelves. Maximize the amount of space you have and make it work for you. Disguise your stuff so you don't have to worry about it being on display. Buy multiples, such as attractive storage bins, hat boxes, or Mason jars and use them to store papers and supplies. These items add visual interest and let you hide your clutter. A row of Mason jars holding pens, pencils and craft supplies adds a country touch to the office while a set of handsome gray bins adds a modern or even masculine air. Should you want the stainless steel memo board, magnetized spice holders make great, inexpensive holders for push pins, staples and other small items.
