cr2-Thumbnailer for Android
Worked good on my xperia z3 then bought a Moto g4 and the app won't open,it crashed instantly, tried uninstall and downloaded again, still won't work
Downloaded app and can't even open it
Didn't work
Changing directory for backups does not work. Saving to external SD card appears to be working, then says XXX files not saved.
Purchased and installed based off others reviews and recommendations but this does not work well with the Samsung S7. The menu buttons barely work at all, you have to press them for 5 minutes before getting a response. It crashes every time i try to back photos up to my phone (the main reason i purchased) navigation is not easy - although this looked easier on a YouTube tutorial i saw using a tablet. The worst part is that i have tried to get a refund and it tells me that there is no refund available. Grrr!
Using Nexus 7 with Canon power shot SX40 the app crashes when trying to save files. Demo app works fine however. Can you fix this please and provide an update?
Work's perfect with Moto G and Canon 60D, but less perfect with the older Canon 450D. To many photos and it just loading forever.
not work in 7.0 . please fix it
It just works, except for one thing. The folder setting for backup doesn't work. All pictures goes into root folder. ANd when trying to save - it just crash.
I've struggled so much to find an app that would allow me to back up the raw photos from my 7D to nexus 7. So glad I found this one!
Trying to connect canon 1100D to galaxy S5, keep getting error message saying cannot connect to camera. Have now realised that when the camera is connected the android gallery allows you to view and import photos without the need to download any other apps.
I love this app for previewing straight from my cameras memory card. Would love to see options to choose a default starting folder rather than beginning from /. Also having to type required save paths is a pain. Fixing these would make this a 5 star app.
Superb. I thumped the SD card from my G10 into my Transformer and had the pictures on Picasa in under 5 mins. Great application.
With recent updates this program is great. A number of annoying bugs have been corrected and it just keeps geting better. I use it with my EOS 40D and G10 and it great. The developer is very responsive to issues and feature requests as well. Can't wait to see where he takes this.
Using it on my Galaxy S2 via OTG/SD card reader as a viewer and sending the samples to my clients.
Works like a charm! Handles CR2 files from my EOS 60D fine. Have it running on ASUS Transformer and impressed at what this software can do right now.
Flaw1: The app has no Select All feature!!! Flaw2: When you multiselect (which is a tedious process coz of flaw 1) and save or backup the files, the selection is lost so if you want to backup then save you have to manually select each file....TWICE!
I tried the demo and was able to connect to the camera. Bought the full version so I could access all photos and functions and it repeatedly crashes and has trouble connecting to the camera - Canon 40D. on Asus TF300T with Keyboard usb. Regret my purchase.
Work's perfect with Moto G and Canon 60D, but less perfect with the older Canon 450D. To many photos and it just loading forever.
First I was try the demo version, and it was work (but it's need to plug, unplug, and plugging back the Canon 650D into Galaxy Note 10 '2014' to recognized). And I buy the full version, but this full app cannot recognize my camera. Please fix it.
Works flawlessy with a CF card via a Lexar reader to a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 with the USB adapter plugged. Needless to say, nothing like the full beauty of RAW files displayed on a Super OLED+ screen. The ability to display EXIF data is a big plus, and to send the photo via a multitude of email and export methods.
I love the app and the speed of it but not being able to view JPG is a bit of a let down. Would really be nice to see both easily. There is no app that will do that for a Canon that I'm aware of that uses a file tree. FILE TREE is a must!!! By far the best option on this. Most apps want you to open 3 million pics at once cashing them all as thumbnails. It bogs everything down and takes forever. This only opens the files you select if you select file tree from the settings.
I love having the ability to view my images easily. Pop my SD card out of my EOS 60D and into my ASUS Transformer Prime's keyboard dock. Then I can show them to others on a nice 10.1" IPS screen. The app has a nice look to it, and it's very easy to use. 5/28/2013 - Just need to add swiping for advancing through photos.
I have been using this to review my pics on the road and it is perfect! nice UI, fast load times, and an export to jpg feature. No Crashing, no problems! If you are looking in a directory with 500+ pics, it will split it up into pages to make sure loading times are quick. Used on Transformer Prime - Stock and Virtuous Prime ROM Wish for resize on export to jpeg and rotate options. Frivolous for what it is, but one can wish ;)
After selecting some number of files on the camera's SD card, then selecting the "backup" operation, the app begins to begin a copy operation. A nice progress bar appears showing the % complete. When the progress bar completes, a very small message appears at the bottom of the screen , stating something to the effect of "nnn files not copied". (The message flashes by so fast it's hard to determine exactly what it says). There is no error file or details presented. It sure would be nice to know what the problem was! The main reason I got this app was to transfer files from my Canon t2i to my Samsung tablet. It would seen that this is the only app available for Android that can read the camera's SD card, and it seems to do that nicely, but if it can't write them to the tablet, it pretty much a useless app -- not working as advertised.
Terrible interface, incompatible with Samsung Galaxy s4
I would really like (I mean really really like) the app to remember the last folder viewed, because having to drill down to find my pictures folder every time I launch the app is a pain. Also, swiping to the next and previous images would be a nice addition over pressing arrow buttons. Thanks.
This app works perfectly with my nexus 7. Couple this with astro file manager and I no longer need to take my laptop anywhere to transfer raw images straight from my canon 40d to my nexus 7 and then over to my USB drive. Couldn't be happier! Well done!
Have tried for some time to connect and import photos from my Canon EOS 7D to my SGS2. This app made it happen. Love the fact that you can extract JPEGs from RAWs, which means I don't have to shoot RAW+JPEG as I first thought I would have to. A great addition would be a button to quickly scroll to the end of a folder. (It takes a while to scroll through several hundred images on the camera memory card.) Alternatively, the option to show the newest files at the top. Another great feature would be to remember the last viewed folder on the camera, to cut a few annoying steps.
I had some questions so I sent S.Holst and email. I send 3 emails 1 week apart. No response 2 weeks later. With the fact that his internet site is down and no email response I feel that the $3.49 was not worth the money. I have found ways to see download my Raw files and found bettter ways to see them. If you like what he has, great, but if you have questions, we are sunk.
This has to be one of my favourite apps, it's just so easy and worth every penny. Connect my Canon 30D and the app automaticcally boots up and even reads the jpeg info inbedded in raw files. You can save images to your tablet, in my case Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, freeing up your cameras card memory and allow crisp viewing. Requires usb adapter for tablet. Thanks developer this is very much appreciated !
I'm using this by connecting an EOS 7D to either a Nexus 7 or a Samsung S3 via OTG and reading directly from the camera. It works very simply and efficiently. As others have noted, it would be nice if the next/previous picture was available by swiping rather than the buttons. I also could not get it to read a CF card directly to the Nexus through an OTG cable and USB adapter but these are minor issues and it's still worth 5 stars.
I recently bought the ASUS Infinity tablet for traveling as I was getting tired of hauling around my huge laptop. The laptop is huge because it is my desktop computer when at home. Anyway, when shooting on the road I carry a ColorSpace UDMA backup drive that has USB2Go capability and plugging it into the USB port it was recognized but of course the tablet as is could not read the CR2 files from my 5DM2. NOW I CAN! SWEET! I haven't tried the direct connect to the camera via USB just yet because I really have no need for that feature.
The problem is more than likely with the RAZR itself. Motorola seems to have made phones with a useless USB port. If someone finds a way to make the RAZR's USB actually do it's job this may actually be useful.
As well as the mentioned swiping to navigate, would be nice if it could initiate media rescan or add to gallery when saving new photos to internal memory.
I thought after purchase the performance will be increased =( Slide the picture will be much better instead of the navigation arrow in full preview... Work harder please....

Does not load on 7.0 just crashes straight out. Please fix. It used to be a very useful app which is why I purchased it. Now it is useless.
