About Map Your Wi-Fi - Paid

Formerly Wi-Fi Map Maker.

Makes a map of Wi-Fi access points as you walk around.
* Maps out the actual coverage of each access point (AP)!
* AP names are displayed on the map
* See street address and area of APs
* You can select the criteria for inclusion on your map
* Info is saved in a database on your phone
Paid version: no ads, many Access Points, KML (Google Earth) export.

To commenter Don:
It will only import 100 APs from the free version because that's the most
the free version will save. If you mean export... there are no restrictions on the number of APs you can export in the paid version. If I am not understanding you please mail me.

The GPS signal is not recognized, showing " GPS info not available" whereas ALL other apps read GPS data properly

Well unless I'm missing something obvious, it doesn't work. I see the map, I see the dot(my position) and I see nothing else even though I know of at least 3 access points within range including the one I'm using. Also tried using LTE to scan but nothing. Waist of money for me.

I liked it... Not sure how to get to the settings menu.

email with developer was great and therefore I have updated my rating for the APP. Also just updated my phone to Samsung Galaxy S4 and having new problems with being able to export KML file. I beleive this might be due to S4 internal emulated SD vs real SD memory mapping, but developer has no S4 to test on but willing to work with me on issue if confirmed this is an S4 issue. - Can anyone else verify if their S4 works or fails when doing a KML export? - I purchased this after using the free version where it told me that it was limited to 100 access points when I got home from a trip. I was hoping that buying the paid version would allow me to recover the data that the free version wouldn't let me view. Problem is It Didn't!! Wow, every AP I detected is lost on 6 of my 7 hour trip and now I won't be able to plan stops in my next trip in 3 months. Not happy! I expected when I upgraded to the paid version that I could get access to everyone I collected.

Needs an option to keep the screen on and really needs updated to account for high resolution screens. The text is so small I can barely read it.

Bought the paid version minutes after trying the free one. This is exactly what I was looking for.

I love the app. I just installed an access point for our school and used this to walk around the campus and document coverage. I have two problems and one question: 1) I cannot delete the unwanted neighborhood access points that showed up. I tried filters but that didnt work. I tried to tap the name of the access point but because mine bled over it kept prompting me to delete mine instead of the others. 2) Why does the app assume square cover instead of a bubble? 3) How can I see the actual db readings and speed test of an actual point? I am using a Samsung Galaxy tab two.

Just says No GPS Info. Device has a GPS, and it works fine in other Apps.

Wish I could filter my findings better some open networks still require log in? Also impossible to select networks that are overlapped

by E####:

The idea is great but after using this for some time now I need an option to filter out certain networks that makes (that are open but need login) that I cant access and makes me unable to see the networks i CAN access. Id also like to be able to choose the level of GPS accuracy I require. All too often it wont work because GPS signal is less than 16m accdurate but personally that is ok with me and in a city like Tokyo with lots of highy buildings you may not get a more accurate signal fast enough. Please add these optpions soon!

Just use predownloaded gmaps to get the fifth star and a way to select router names that are overlapping... Great idea !!!

Needs to map selected wifis by name or by bssid. Also needs to generate heat maps. Then five star :)

Good for what it does. Not very acurate as far as wifi coverage goes. Not going to show you dead spots.

Nice app to map accesspoints, could do with more functionality though. Like recording signal strength per measured location.
