Awesome idea. Rectangles are weird though, circles would make more sense.

Detail good enough for driving public streets, not walking neighborhood. WiFi info blocks map details, stacked WiFi info window blocks all but one WiFi source - can't access others.

Purchased paid app a while back. After an uninstall, the paid version is no longer available in my country (US)? I can only use the free version? Why is this? Wont rate if I cant use the app i paid for.

D70%
by D####:

Give me the option to show a single network or a choice of a few networks on the map so I can check coverage and I'll pay for it immediately! Currently too cluttered, selecting a network gives you a data box killing the map! I want to see the outline on the map!!

Maps would be so much more appealing if circular or elliptical areas were used instead of ugly boxes.

i really would like to rate this higher, but here are the main problems: when they say 100ap's, they are talking about data point references. because i know the area i walked in does not have that many connections, yet it cut out. 2nd issue, there is no map when it's offline, even though i have at least 2 maps offline it can use that other programs know how to use. and last, the boxes are so cluttered it's hard to know where the reference point is. it's not that useful even though it's cleaner then other programs i've used.

This is very close to being great, but has a few little flaws (that should be easily fixed). 1) In an area like mine that's overrun with access points, it's almost impossible to read the names, since there are so many overlapping boxes. What I'm most interested in knowing is where each AP is located. Suggestion: show the name of each at its assumed center point, and show its border only when it's clicked. This is the main issue that made me give it 3 stars. 2) Coverage areas are rounded rectangles, all oriented the same way, which obviously isn't accurate. Suggestion: use circles, or better yet, ellipses -- just draw the smallest ellipse that could contain all the points from which the AP was seen (you'd only need to keep track of the points that lie on the boundary).

It works, but stops at 100 points making worthless.

Wifi names overlap and when click, it shows the topmost name. Make this into a menu to easily select. I have 4 names overlapping and it constantly select Houstonguest

email with developer was great and he has added a clarification note on the Paid version description about the limit of the free version when upgrading to paid about the transfer of 100 APs being the free version restriction. Therefore I have upgraded my review. Beware that if your goal is to try free before you buy, that although you can only collect 100 Access Points, and the Paid version allows Importing that you can not recover anything more than the 100 Access Points the free version allowed you to view! So if your goal is to map everyone you pass, buy the paid version before your long trip once you know the App works on your phone, and provides the data you want.

Good idea. I was looking for one of these. Wish the zoom could be further increased, though accuracy may suffer...

Nice program but free one does not allow export. Okay, rethought, I move over to wigle and OWN my own data.
