Huegasm for Philips Hue Lights

Can't link with my hub. Nothing happens

Works amazingly when it decides to work. But it doesn't work most of the time, sadly.

It stops music every 5 seconds and fails to play half the music

Makes the Hue lights flash sort of in rhythm to the music.

The light reactions to the audio aren't bad, but this app (and website through chrome) have real problems when connecting to a Google Home via Bluetooth. If the Bluetooth is connected before opening the app then the music doesn't play. If the Bluetooth is connected after opening the app then the music will play, but it will be choppy and skip a small but very noticeable amount while playing (kind of like interference, but it's definitely app related. I've tried many other apps with no issues at all)

I love the response and fluidity of the lights with this app. I paid for no ads to support. However, does it support songs from google play music?? I don't really use SoundCloud or Spotify.

Bro, when connected via Bluetooth speaker there's no sound. Can you fix that? I'm using the JBL Pulse 3.

Connects to my bridge fine, but doesn't seem to control any of my hue bulbs

Couldn't you work around the streaming issue by just using the microphone to control the lights based on rhythm... I feel like most people use this on an Android device not a computer so IDK why you would use chrome extensions once again I might have no clue what I'm talking about

I really want to like this app, I have no problem with a restriction to only local music, but frankly it's unusable. Adding songs is an exercise in frustration - sometimes the song will show up, most times it won't and you have to try to add it again. And then randomly trying to add a song will restart the app, losing everything you've managed to add and putting you right back to square one. It's a real shame because it does seem fairly responsive when it can actually play something. But it certainly isn't worth the Herculean effort it takes to get to that point.

Wont playback songs on the playlist

Really want to love this app, but I wish it would pull my local song library automatically and save it, rather than me having to manually put songs in every time I reopen the app. The feature is great, it's just inconvenient and makes me lean towards the worse quality microphone based apps.

It's ok but no option to sync music with Spotify or a competent music app makes it pretty useless.

Wish I didn't have to revert to music saved on my phone but I do. I won't use up phone space on things I can stream. It either lags or crashes. Won't run in background with my other app that does the same thing but with different bulbs. The chrome app works just as good. I'll use that more then this.

Okay, desperately needs a cast function so you can stream to a tv or sound system - no fun in watching all the lights in the house dance if the audio only comes from your phone. That said, light response times are the best, shame about the app always hanging.

App hangs on opening, just shows Lights, Music, and a Cog. Unresponsive

The best hue app for music. This works 10x better than hue disco (a paid app). Hue disco has such a longer delay to beats than huegasm it's crazy. Bought huedisco first and refunded it after a few minutes because the lag was so bad!!! If you want, try both apps but I will be surprised if you don't refund hue disco.

Great app. Works well. My only complaint would be that the name of the app is a bit vulgar.

Pretty good best detection but playback via Bluetooth skips every 2 seconds, making it impossible to listen to anything over Bluetooth. Too much CPU usage? The visualization was off. Playback with other apps over BT works fine. Also, the double scroll in the UI is awkward. Can you move the playlist to a tab and the three setting sliders to another one, so the use can swipe between them? Thanks!

It worked one time and now it constantly says can't find bridge. I enter the IP manually and it'll work for a bit then says can't find bridge. Constantly having to manually enter IP address of bridge. Also, can't load local songs into playlist. I'm using an LG-V10.

Only plays music through Soundcloud and local MP3s. For Soundcloud music however this does a great job with the light display.

Not working after update ..app is not accessible

The app is pretty great, very easy to use, and I love the integration of sound cloud. The only thing j wish I don't like is the inability to adjust the strobe setting

I have 18 different lights, some where left out in the lights list, idk why. It appears there's no way to add the ones that weren't showing. Also none of my music from local files would add.

I like it. Best hue app to actually sync on beat with the lights. Is there any way we can create a time script so we can personalize our songs ourselves? Or at least control which lights toggle lights with which frequency? Such as light strips lighting up only to low frequency sounds and light bulbs to higher sounds?

I like the app however it doesn't work well when connecting to Bluetooth speaker from my cell phone. The music is very choppy. Never had an issue with the speaker and phone prior to running the app. Going to clear memory and cache and try again. Will update review if that corrects the issue. Fingers crossed

The app is a good concept rollout and has potential to be great. Streaming service integration (Spotify, Google Play Music, etc) is not presently implemented, and there are bugs when connected to Bluetooth for audio output, but I expect these issues to be addressed in due time.

Lights in use/not in use need labels, rather than a picture of bulbs.

App doesn't work. Just a white screen, can't click anything. I have the newest hue gear and a S7

Needs a way to add multiple songs at once. As it is you take too long adding mp3s one by one. Also, "active chrome tab, microphone or entire system", seems to not really be true. Mp3s or soundcloud only
