About Armadillo Toolbox - Pig Speed
The Armadillo Toolbox assists Pig Tracking personnel by providing commonly-used tools tracking pigs in pipelines:
• Calculate the Pig Speed using the known parameters of your pipeline & flow rate for both liquid & gas lines
• Measure the Pig Speed by capturing the time between girthwelds with a known joint length
• Display Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) using the calculated or measured speeds
• Pipe specifications look-up for Standard Wall Pipe
• Convert GPS coordinates back-and-forth between Decimal-Degrees and UTM (WGS-84)
• Use the phone's built-in GPS to show current GPS position
• Uses default Wall Thickness but can be specified for non-standard pipe
All displayed speeds and distances can be easily switched between Imperial and Metric units with a simple tap.
