The Quran (English pronunciation: /kɔrˈɑːn/ kor-ahn ; Arabic: القرآن al-qurʼān, IPA: [qurˈʔaːn] literally meaning "the recitation", also romanised Qurʼan or Koran) is the central religious text of Islam, which Muslims believe to be the verbatim word of God (Arabic: الله, Allah).
This app is the English version by Yusuf Ali. We also have the Arabic version.
The Quran is widely regarded as the finest piece of literature in the Arabic language.
Muslims believe the Quran to be verbally revealed through angel Gabriel (Jibril) from God to Muhammad gradually over a period of approximately 23 years beginning on 22 December 609 CE, when Muhammad was 40, and concluding in 632 CE, the year of his death.
Muslims regard the Quran as the main miracle of Muhammad, the proof of his prophethood and the culmination of a series of divine messages that started with the messages revealed to Adam, regarded in Islam as the first prophet, and continued with the Scrolls of Abraham (Suhuf Ibrahim),the Tawrat (Torah) of Moses,the Zabur (Tehillim or Psalms) of David, and the Injil (Gospels) of Jesus.
The Quran assumes familiarity with major narratives recounted in Jewish and Christian scriptures, summarizing some, dwelling at length on others and in some cases presenting alternative accounts and interpretations of events.
The Quran describes itself as a book of guidance, sometimes offering detailed accounts of specific historical events, and often emphasizing the moral significance of an event over its narrative sequence.The Quran is used along with the hadith to interpret Sharia. During prayers, the Quran is only recited in Arabic. Verse 15:9 states that God will personally protect the Quran from corruption.

The suras are labeled incorrectly. Many of them are noted as book 1 when that isnt the case.

Think you got the best Quran iv seen around so far would give 5 stars but I haven't read it yet wish it waz a lil different set up tho an its true with the Forgiver an would like the chapters to be called surahs but its cool all the same nice one man

I want to know more about Jesus with the help of holy Quran not only Jesus I want to know about mother Mary n his all 12 disciples n I feel holy bible is a great app also this same audio app is with me as audio offline holy bible kings James version same pattern app that same woman is reading chapters but Quran is Quran n bible is bible after all Jesus came before muhammad n I m a believer only in Jesus Christ as in my hard times he is d only one who rescue me so want to know more about Jesus through quran

Every chapter has been numbered as 1:verse no; It should have been numberd as 1:1 for chapter one like sura Fatiha and 12:1 for sura Yusuf upto 114.

Great app with wonderful features!!! I would like to see the books numbered. ex Cow is book #2 while reading says 1:3 when reality is chapter 2 verse 3 Less confusion for new readers like myself & when sharing scriptures.

That Surah, I can't quote it's number because you didn't, has in closed () God with a lower case g. The Forgiver has to be with a capital letter ALWAYS because you are referring to Allaah. Correct that please.
