Power writer

Update sucks. Everytime you clear cache, everything goes blank. Lost all my data on it.

Power writer is simple app for "brain dump" your ideas. If you are looking for a simple, minimalistic writing apps for your mobile, you can consider to install this app. Onward, it will be better if you can add the feature to resize the font. The default is too small :) Ps : it doesn't requires much space too

I was wondering if you could make this a Chrome app. It would be super helpful so I don't have to keep copying and pasting all my documents into a Google Doc so I have them on my laptop. It's an awesome app and the best one (I think) on the App store.

It keeps crashing, has a limited word cut off and overall kind of works sloppily. I've written book chapters on this app, and I'm not fully pleased to say the least. Sorry if one or more of these are changed I'll surely give a better rating :/

Before now it's been great! But lately it's been crashing when spell checking, or even just writing. Meaning I loose a chunk of work, if not saved in the last few mins. Once fixed would get 5 stars from me though.

It's really nice with the words counter - if you are a Wattpad writer, and write on a phone sometimes, it's really efficient to have that. Seeing as the word count depends on how many pages there are. I like to get around 3000 to 4000. The italics and bold tool is nice. The layout and look of the app is OK, I suppose. It could be better. But it has no ads, and it works without fault. And moving it the thing to the SD card is nice because it saves the writing in a document. It's efficient, and works.

I only have one complaint, but it's a big one. There is no way to organize your stories. It sorts by last edited and that's it. You can't sort alphabetically or create folders to keep related stories together. When you're writing the app is just about perfect, but the lack of organization is driving me crazy. I'd switch to a different writing app if I could find one I like.

I was writing a fiction and saved it and lost all the work I did I could not find it at all! Now I have to go back and write it all over again. I finished one fiction that I wrote, but when I went back it was completely gone as well! Thank God I had copied and pasted it to my email or else I would have had to rewrite that one entirely as well! So if you write something planned on copying and pasting it somewhere else so that you don't lose it because when you go back it's not going to be there promise you!

It's great, it really is, but there is an issue with the spacing that I have. There is a huge gap between every row that I write, not matter if I press enter or not. It makes it hard to read, disappointing and inconvenient, since it didn't have this feature before. Before, you could tell when the paragraphs were separated, but now it just looks like a big chunk of text. If it's somehow my phone or myself at fault, please tell me how to fix it. If not, the please do something to change this.

I love Power Writer and use it for all my texts, copying & pasting, making "To do" lists, or just jotting down notes. It is simple yet elegant. My only complaint is that there doesn't seem to be a way to change the appearance of the line spacing. If you don't mind everything that's not in a numbered list being double or triple spaced, then I highly recommend this app. It works great for my needs.

I like it! I like it! I like it! But. . . It needs a search function. To able to search for a word/s in a title, OR the main body, OR both, through a selective choice. User shld also b able to refine the type of search to 1) any word, 2) all words or 3) exact phrase: ie, search: the white cup - would return different results according to which type of search was selected. Also, a longpress on the main body to either a) paste (already there) & b) view & select from clipboard (not there) wld also be useful.

This app has always been great and I use it constantly, so you can imagine the soul destroying horror I felt when I opened it to see that all but two of my files had mysteriously been deleted. I've been very careful with saving, and I have no idea how this happened but im devastated. I'm going to have to find an alternative app and pray that I can rewrite those several hundred thousand words.

Its the best writing app I've found, but...it has a bit of erasing your documents COMPLETELY as in...you'll never get them back. I've had this happen multiple times. It's very Frustrating. I suggest downloading another app, and copy & paste the documents your working on IF you want to keep this one....

First time i'm using it, its ok, its awesome but now... I've save all my story in there but then when i open this app, all my story is gone. I don't where they're. Its gone. I was frustrated when open this app and didn't saw any of my story. Can you fix it?

My favourite writing app because of the simple controls. Looks great too! Wish it were easier to export or save your work to SD or online. As it is I have no problem finding files in my file system and transferring them other ways. Also files are saved as html which might not be able to edit in other txt writing apps but they're easy to work with on pc.

This app has a lot of potential inlet the sec need to work on it. I thought it would never get any update but the update provided has added problems also. Now we need to save it manually.

Great app! I've been using power writer for two years now on my other phone with little problems. However, since I bought a new phone, I was devastated to discover that there seems to be a limit of around 2000 words for one document which isn't large enough to accomodate even one chapter in the stories I try to write. I didn't appear to have this problem before though. I don't know what's happened but it's lead to the uninstallation of the app from my phone.

I'm hoping that this is a good app to store my writing's & that it does what it says. I've got way to many boxes of notebooks that take up too much space. I hope I won't have to uninstall it because it's NOT what I'm looking for!!! THANK YOU.

I don't see any reason to uninstall this when it has awesome features and also a word count! A writing app is nothing without bolds italics crosses and word count!

A very small app, which has all the essential features I need to do my writing, on screen word count especially useful. My only quibble is that writing resumes at the beginning of the document and I would prefer the end, or even better, wherever I left off.

This app is rlly smooth and simple to use. But after a while of making new notes, it gets cluttery and this app would be worth 5 stars if u could add folders so that everything could be neater. Thanks~

Saved my work and hours later when I wanted to continue it, it disappears? For no reason at all? The same happened to my four other writings, it's a potential app but makes my works disappear for no reason. Uninstall.

my documents are all lost and I can't make new document anymore. Why is thatttt?? Help meeee

This app is seriously good and I used it to just throw down some ideas I have for some long stories, but I was so disappointed when I opened it up today and all my files were gone. Hopefully it comes back, but I wish it hadn't left in the first place

Functional and very useful note-taking app. It has a bullet point list whose button is easily accessible on the bottom tool bar. REQUEST: 1. Bullet, Bold, and Save button to be near each other. 2. Folders to categorize notes. Thank you. Keep up the good work. Kudos to the developer.

Like it.Please improve this more.It would be better if we can attach a picture or the words can be highlighted into different colors. And we could send our writings too through social medias like fb,twitter,etc.

I wanted an app to make lists, with automatic numbering bullets. The app summary indicated that the app could do that, but when I created a document, I couldn't find any way to create automatic lists. The left menu button, which Google is, unfortunately, discouraging apps from using, does nothing. I saw a toolbar with the ability to select bold, underline, italic/slanted, strike through, and style (Header1, Header2, etc.), but nowhere could I find anything about creating lists. By accident, I discovered that the toolbar has more entries to the right, which are hidden offscreen when my device is in portrait mode. Dragging the toolbar to the left shows the tools for automatic numbering. There is no visual indication that there are additional entries on the toolbar. Given the unintuitive nature of the user interface, it might be nice to have documentation on how to use the app. Unfortunately, quality documentation seems to be from a bygone era. Instead users are guessing, frustrated at how to use the app's features.

This app is easy to use, pretty bare bones simple, and wonderful in its simplicity. I love it. I also enjoy how it takes so little space on my phone, yet gives me a way to write that I very much like. The save button looks a slight bit strange, but it's fine once you figure it out. I love it so far. It's definitely going to be my favored writing app.

I've been using this app for over a YEAR and it has been awesome, never a problem for me - UNTIL I downloaded an app to clean up the "junk" in my phone. After I used it and went to this app, EVERYTHING was gone - a whole years worth of notes, writing, ideas, etc!! I thought it was the cleaning app's fault, but then I came here and realized that this "everything disappeared when I cleared my cache" thing has been a problem on THIS app for a WHILE. Honestly?? Why hasn't this been fixed yet?!

So easy to use and enjoy. It does exactly what is says, and the format options (font, alignment etc) are really helpful. The word count is also a great feature. It's useful to copy and paste things into and I use it all the time for notes and stories, and as long as I remember to save, I've experienced no issues. Best writing app I've found.

I absolutely loved this app at first, but then after a while it started deleting my progress,thanks for my time wasted!!!!

It has a word limit. I write a lot, and I do a lot of editing as well, so a word limit will never do.

All my older writings disappeared!I can't find any of them even though I saved them!

Copy and paste is weird. Not intuitive- so how do I get this draft out of app and into Wordpress? There is no "Select All" and I cannot copy and scroll. I will continue my search for another app.
