رسالة في آداب الأكل
الحمد لله ربي مسبغ النعم ... والشكر ثم الثنا للمانح النحل
الحمد الثنا مستحقه بذكر صفاته الجميلة وأفعاله الحسنة ونقيض الحمد وأصل الشكر البيان والاظهار وقيل هو مقلوب كشر يقال كشر الكلب عن أنيابه إذا قلص شفتيه عن أسنانه فظهرت.
"كتاب آداب الأكل
وهو الكتاب الأول من ربع العادات من كتاب إحياء علوم الدين
الحمد لله الذي أحسن تدبير الكائنات فخلق الأرض والسماوات وأنزل الماء الفرات من المعصرات فأخرج به الحب والنبات وقدر الأرزاق والأفوات وحفظ بالمأكولات قوى الحيوانات وأعان على الطاعات والأعمال الصالحات بأكل الطيبات والصلاة على محمد ذي المعجزات الباهرات وعلى آله وأصحابه صلاة تتوالى على ممر الأوقات وتتضاعف بتعاقب الساعات وسلم تسليما كثيرا.
أما بعد فإن مقصد ذوي الألباب لقاء الله تعالى في دار الثواب ولا طريق إلى الوصول للقاء الله إلى بالعلم والعمل ولا تمكن المواظبة عليهما إلا بسلامة البدن ولا تصفو سلامة البدن إلا بالأطعمة والأقوات والتناول منها بقدر الحاجة على تكرر الأوقات فمن هذا الوجه قال بعض السلف الصالحين إن الأكل من الدين وعليه نبه رب العالمين بقوله وهو أصدق القائلين كلوا من الطيبات واعملوا صالحا "The book: Etiquette of eating
