الثبات عند الممات

الباب الأول في بيان فضيلة العقل والنقل ولزوم القبول منهما
قد ثبت أن العقل هو الآلة التي عرف بها الإله وحصل به تصديق الرسل والتزام الشرائع وأنه المحرض على طلب الفضائل والمخوف من ركوب الرذائل والناظر في المصالح والعواقب فهو مدبر أمر الدارين ومثله كالضوء في الظلمة فقد يقل عند أقوام فيكون كعين الأعشى ويزيد فيكون كنور القبس ويكون عند قوم كضوء الشمعة وعند الكاملين كطلوع الشمس على عين زرقاء اليمامة
ولهذا تتفاوت العقلاء في العلوم والأعمال فينبغي لمن رزق العقل
