The controls are lagged by maybe a second or two tops, but other than that ive had no problems whatsoever usin this on an old smart phone..maybe the people complaining just have crappy phones

Its an amazing app

The app to control it is basically unusable. When it does work there is a delay between your action and the helicopter reacting. I recommend a copter that comes with its own remote as this was a waste of $45.

Planning to rip out the battery and rig it in an old unit that doesnt blow. or, be patient and see if a better app comes out, as the helicopter itself seems good.

Works alright when it connects to the helicopter. Has a hard time pairing some times. And cuts out when operating once in a while.

This game rocks bit you have to have the helicopter to use this app it has amazing controls and so easy to use its amazing

SGIII works great, responsive, no delay in controls, I had the remote control one, the bluetooth works a lot better. This is a great app and fun to fly.

Couldnt get anything to work except the light. Reconnected several times but could only get one turn of rotors.

Awful. Constantly force closes. When it does work the signal is.intermittent at best helicopter throttles down soon after take off. Get what you pay for I guess.

Horrible for 45$ so I got one w remote for same price and I can actually control it perfectly. This is no good don't waste money and keep the receipt.

as stated, there is a 1 to 2 second delay in the controls. if you work at it, you can manage decent flight. but you have to plan your moves 1 to 2 seconds ahead. especially going up and down. fly in a big carpeted room with a high ceiling!

1 sec delay in sig to chopper but works fine knowing about the delay.

Like others, it does not work satisfactorily with Android devices . It would not stay connected both idle and in flight. Switched over to an iPod touch and the Atom responded great. Now I need to learn how to avoid flying into everything.

Amazing app. Apparently doesn't work with p.o.s. phones but works flawlessly on the galaxy s3.

Glad the shack took it back! I couldn't get it to do anything except pair with three different devices.

Its a piece of junk. Lasted for 5 min. then its unresponsive. Even when it worked, the enormous lag made it unusable.

This is unusable on android. Like everyone else said it has a 2 second delay. This app works flawlessly on ios with the iPhone 4. Would love to have it work on my EVO LTE

The copter isn't bad. But unfortunately had to return it because the controls are useless. The Bluetooth is just no good

Connection was good until flight. Used 5 minutes in a gymnasium lots of lag and disconnections. The gym had a window open. My luck while in flight about 20ft away I lost 100% control no connection and it gradually went towards window and out it went onto the roof and finally went down. Would not connect again. Only lost 25 bucks on this. Never again. Droid Razr Maxx

2-4 second delay. Fix the app, the helicopter is good quality, but the app sucks!

The helicopter is great, and so is the layout of the app, ut theres about 1/4 second lag, reason why my legs are beaten up by the helicopter..

Controls have 2 second lag, and don't work well at all. I try to turn and it won't react at all half the time. Buy a helo with its own controller.

Easy to use loved it easy to get the helicopter going works perfect I totaly recomend it.

The helicopter itself is pretty high quality. The app on android is completely terrible, however. As others have said, there is a significant delay making control nearly impossible. My wife has an iphone and the control is great on that device. I tried controlling with one other android device and it was just as bad. It's terrible that the weak link for this toy is a slow buggy phone app. Propel really needs to get this android app on par with the iOS version. The poor quality is really unacceptable.

Delay between phone and heli of 1-2 sec. The dial for propellor speed has such a limited useful range of motion between off and rising that it makes flying/hovering difficult at best. Needs major improvenent but cool concept.

Terrible decision made when I decided to try a rc helicopter that was Bluetooth. There is about a 2 second delay between the control and the response on the helicopter which makes it almost impossible to control (unless you can see 2 seconds into the future). Will return and buy a new one with a remote. If you bought one and are looking at this, I would not even bother un-packing it, and just return it. I say this because I have found a lot of people having the same issue that I am. I can't say that it is 100% the heli's fault, but I can say that Bluetooth technology is not the greatest. Most people have the same 1-2 second delay with Bluetooth headsets, speakers, ect... To be short, this Helicopter is a waste of money. I will be getting my $41.99 back, and I feel sorry for whomever paid the $99.99 price that is on the box I have.

Don't you test this stuff before you sell it. 1 to 2 second lag time between control input and helicopter response with my razr maxx

Update: App still sucks. Seems like some reviewers aren't telling the truth. Note phones. Lost the chopper in a tree and didn't care. That one second delay is a showstopper. The chopper itself is tight and smooth .. the app remote is great in concept. However it regularly crashes, the different modes mean nothing, the delay means it's impossible to prevent crashes - but the worst thing is they activate vibration on the phone and keep it on. 5-10 minutes and my hands are jittered numb from vibration.

I took 6-8 months off hoping they would have fixed the lag issue but they haven't. I'm not sure what the issue is because it works fine with my work iPhone but it's unusable with my S3.

The concept is great but the execution falls short. BT controls on my SIII are lagged by at least a second from command to action. Just enough to remove any precision flight possibilities. It's a fun toy but regularly falls out of the sky or goes awol when the signal is lost. I'm already looking for a new craft which includes a physical controller in the package.

It does not work well or at all with 4.X devices. We've even tried the Asus transformer and it is junk. Call customer support and response was "we didn't use your model as a test model so there are compatibility issues" what about an app update with more compatibility profiles or specific profiles "in the near future we'll release a new model with more universal compatibility but no updates....we'll send you an IR model though" no thank you! How bout the new BT model?

App stopped heli went up then turned off and fell blade down onto concrete floor bending main shaft. Copter dead. Had to pay 7.00 s&h to get new parts.

Tells me Bluetooth isn't connected.. even though it is connected! Complete fail. Don't buy this toy! Waste of money for android being more popular OS!

Have fun with this when im bored...a slight delay but technology is just cray now a days!
