HeraldNet – The Everett Herald for Android
Way too often, a huge ad covers a third of the screen. I am a print subscriber; I shouldn't have ANY ads in this digital app.
Like the app
Easy to navigate, easy to read.
Simple and clean
I love reading about my community here. Sometimes there arent enough photos but the stories are good. You can comment on the topics also but its almost impossible to go find your comments later and see how the neighbors responded. What keeps me coming back is the basic reliability of the news in a day when headlines are misleading and ads cover the main story. This is well delivered news.
Fast, easy to navigate. Ads are a bit annoying, but easy to dismiss.
A simple application that gives me full access to all of the articles in the Everett Herald.
Local news in a great format!
I enjoy keeping informed about the county I grew up in.
Always great news and graphics!
Well done app.
Great App. Especially for a local paper.
Enjoy this app for local news
Now you have to pay to read. Uninstalling.
there was a vital statistics tab; the latest news tab wasn't 80% sports, why not put latest sports on the sports tab?; if i could share articles on Facebook; lastly, if the developer provided the description of the update...what changed?
I don't like that it resets to the top story every time I hit back. not as up to date as it could but some fair quality articles
Liked the older version, it used a clear list format that was easy to navigate. This new version is impossible to read with side by side boxed stories, some with photos, some without. Way too cluttered for mobile platforms!! Haven't run into the 10 article limit since the app is so hard to use.
Cannot use. I pick an article to read but cannot read it. All I see is a black screen with a white wheel that rotates and promises the article is "loading." That's all. I guess it doesn't matter, as I would be uninstalling anyhow if you ask me for money to read my local news.

I love the Herald and this is a fabulous app! This may very well be the best news app ever, even compared to national newspaper and network news. If you live or are from the Everett, WA area gets this app. 10 Stars!
Don't bother with a subscription and this app. Just get the news from an AP news feed. You'll even get the news quicker.
Old version was better.
It's only free if you only want to read 10 or less articles a month! Forget it!! I'll stick with the other really free options!
As if the Herald was a great news source in the first place. In addition to ads on display, you are only allowed to view so many outdated and mediocre news quality articles before a popular appears and you are required to sign up to pay to view any more articles. Uh...me thinks not...uninstalled
Started limiting how many articles you read. The news stories are stale and they don't publish any local breaking news. Local news tab is mainly filled with sports after a handful of truly local stories.
Used to love this app, esp since all the other Puget Sound news reads are so awful and have no sense of community. But? Get your advertisers to pay for it! Marketing 101! Uninstalling
Good luck getting people to subscribe, bad move
I was paying monthly for this decent app and I emailed asking to cancel and they wouldn't even do that. I finally had to cancel my debit card to stop payments.

Uninstalling today, sad. 15 articles month. See ya Herald
If you read more than 15 articles a month, it is not free.
Good app until they start hounding you to start paying for a monthly contract
I like being able to keep up to date with all the news from my hometown, even though I don't live there anymore! Thanks Herald! I used to be a paper boy for the Herald, boy those were the days! Now you can get the "paper" without it being wet, heck, without even getting out of bed! And no ink on your fingers; 30 years ago who would have thunk it!
Works well. I subscribe but this is a good supplement for a news fix.
This isn't really free. I now can't read an article without buying a subscription. I just that I'll stick to the Seattle Times.
Awesome
I want to write condolances in the guestbook A MAIN. FOCUS FOR ME,, THANK YOU FOR MAKING IT POSSIBLE. GP

Ads keep blocking the articles & there's not as many stories now?
