Genius hub

The latest release of this system is brilliant. We now have total control of our heating from wherever we are. It isn't cheap but I estimate a pay back of between 3 and 4 years at the same time as rooms we use being warmer. An excellent investment.

All devices have gone and can't add on new app or new website. Can only control with old app on my tablet. As I am going away without the tablet I need it working on the new app which I am now stuck with on my phone. Help. The latest app has given me back the ability to control devices. I am puzzled how this problem arose but thank goodness I can control the system properly now. I am having 'fun' learning how to use the IFTTT additions now.

Spent a fortune on this system, but doesn't work properly after the last update. The old software used to turn off the radiator valves when the room got warm from the wood burner. It doesn't do that anymore - it's trying to heat rooms up even more using the radiators when the log burner has already heated the room to 28C! Tech support have suggested work around until latest set of bugs are fixed in new update.

Yes, not perfect but so much better than basic thermostat control. Definitely way ahead - keep up great work!

Every upgrade has problems. App crashes lots little box loading data and never moves on. Poor response from control loops

Latest updates improve the overall feel, but introduce a problem with rooms that have a sensor and a trv. Workaround applied - we'll see how it goes.

Using the new version since the hub got updated to new version and we got device control back. Love the ability to set hidden temperature offsets on TRVs (sorely missing before). In general a great system, which could do with a little refining here and there.

We need divice part of the app working, I only have a very basic set up and I'm unhappy,I can't imagine how the people who went all in are feeling now.one call to the support team and all sorted fantastic team keep up the good work.

Had the system installed a while back and just love the flexibility. The app keeps on getting better as they make each new update. Just installed the new app but all sorts of issues. Tells me that I have issues but not where or what they are. The help links don't work neither does report a bug, have you switched it off? Come on guys get it sorted.

Vast improvement over the older app, although it still has a few bugs including no devices are listed. Spoken to their excellent support who inform me there's an update to the Genius Hub itself rolling out over the next 2 weeks. This should resolve most of the issues, which makes this app very good if so.

New app looking good. Not fully functional yet but that has been explained. Unfortunately offset handling remained the same hence one star. Please fix the offset setting for temperature read. It doeas not make sense.

Previous app would have been 5 stars. New update has ruined it. Many of the old menus seem to have been removed. Total shambles so they can accommodate new products.

With some features removed and application so sluggish, the new interface is just a lipstick on a pig. I'll give only one star because app is not totally dead...

I tried to install this on my All Winner 6" tablet, running Android 4.2.2, but it wouldn't install. Error 103. Support have been no use, just saying 'bad luck'. I uninstalled the old Heat Genius app, to make room for Genius Hub (big mistake!) Now, Genius Hub won't install and support won't, or can't, let me re-download the old app. I now can't control my heating at all, from this tablet. With the old app running, I would have given it 4*, but now, it's 1 (I can't award no stars).

Update to new app is the right thing to do no doubt but the developers did not finish developing the app or testing it before release. I now can't monitor my heating system performance or manage it properly. The developers have taken a completely amateurish approach to rolling out their new app.

The app is working OK. i'm not a fan of white backgrounds can you add themes ? There are parts of the UI I would like moving around.

New app is much better. Overall its a superb system, well worth the setup cost getting control of each room independently. I estimate that for us the system has more than payed for its self within 2 years while giving us a much more comfortable house (we saved over a thousand litres of oil in just one winter). Great customer support highly recomended.

The room history graphs (described in the manual) are missing in the new app (Android). The 'report a bug' and 'feedback' buttons in the "feedback" menu don't do anything at all. Hopefully we can back to previous functionality soon...

At times this app is unresponsive. Especially when using the override function on all areas.

Whilst the entire Heat Genius system is pretty good - this app is absolutely terrible. The UI is completely unfathomable, and I have to fiddle about with it for ages to get the heating to do what I want. Needs massive improvement before I can understand what the hell it's doing.

You might be reading this because you're trying to choose between HeatGenius and other system. Well, I've been using this system for nearly two years now and it just does it's job. It's ideal for switching off individual rooms and balancing your heating, and you can quite easily get it to the point where the family don't ever touch the thermostat. The Android, web and iOS apps are always in step so you don't have to suffer gadget angst either. The developers are preparing IFTTT and offline modes too!

Good app & support. 5* when it gets Tasker and IFTTT support.

Your home should care for you, not the other way around. I bought my Heat Genius Smart Intelligent Heating Control System at the end of 2013 but I have been using Heat Genius since early 2014 and this App meets all my current needs. I have had six upgrades since I bought my system, each upgrade has brought either new or improved features and functionality. I have benefited substantially from reduced gas bills because this Heat Genius App has allowed me to better manage the heating in my home. Two things in particular make this App stand out from its competitors: First to mention is the Footprint mode that enables the system to become predictive and reactive or self-aware through intelligent interaction with sensors and advanced algorithms and fuzzy logic and secondly I would like to mention that this App enables you to create up to 32 zones and allows you to control the temperature of each zone independently. This App allows you to access ALL the functions and features that are available on the Heat Genius Smart Intelligent Heating Control System Hub through this App when installed on your Android Mobile Phone, Android Tablet or Android TV Box.

What more can I say. It is a smart system that controls your heating. Nice to see that the other systems out there are starting to copy this system just shows how advanced this system has been. The once I required assistance I rang and was dealt with immediately. The system has never failed and if it does hiccup it's easy to fix. My advise follow the instructions. I love being able to override the system and turn my heating on as I finish at odd times so having the home pre heated is brilliant.

Worked fine 2 weeks ago. Now fails to work and will not move past log on screen. Rooms not shown, have uninstalled and reinstalled to no effect

Every home should have one. Heating where and when you need it. Keeps us warm and saves money too.

Good support, has cut my gas cost by 30%!

Works really well. For the override, might be nice to have a "+1 degree" and "-1 degree" choice for a room rather than have to choose an absolute temperature. @CarolineMorgan you can edit room names in setup, choose room, right at the top of each room.

Only 1 week in but so far it's working exactly as I hoped, the app is simple and I like it that way.

The team are open to suggestions. I've had the system for around a year. In that time numerous features have been added and overall system has kept improving even more.

Been running the system for approximately a year now. I think it's brilliant. Want one room hotter voilà. No need for the whole house to be boosted. Not using certain rooms - just turn them down. To get this level of control need lots of zonal plumbing. Now it's all available on an existing system. Any queries the guys on the end of the phone are pleasant and helpful.

This is a review of the whole system rather than just the app (which is no use on its own). Incredibly stable - been using over the winter season and it has not let me down. It's pretty easy to get custom heating periods and to amend and do temporary overrides. Yes - it is being developed further, but what's here now works IME and works incredibly well.
