Action News Now: Breaking News

Notifications pop up with just a few words, but can't be expanded like all the other app notifications. When you tap the notification for more information, the breaking news isn't even listed in the app, so you have no idea what happened. Think, "Armed suspect escaped deputies..." with no way to find out any more details. Sucks.

Every update only made ads more intrusive. I uninstalled the app. The notifications didn't lead to a story sometimes and content was copy poor and video heavy.

Old app was lots better, new app is bogus as far as allowing you to choose your news. I don't want sports but that's nearly all that comes up. Blah!

The notification gives you an alert there's a new story, but when you open it you can't find the news story. So all you get is about half a sentence of whatever story that is so important to give you an alert. I need to get a new programmer, and upload the old version of this app until they fix this one.

This used to be my favorite for local news but now this is a terrible app. I don't understand the format, most of the time I can't find the alerts. I like news not sports. When reading news the sports pop up. Also spell check should be installed. Spelling is third grade level.

Breaking news pops up and you cant read it!when ylu click on it you go to the page and the breaking news is nowhere to be found! So frustrating

Buggy. Whenever you tap on an article in the notification bar it doesn't take you to the article, it just opens up the app.

The notifications cannot be expanded forcing you to open the app. When you open the notification, it doesn't show the story in the notification.

All it says now is "no content." What?!

Most of the time app will close when hitting back button. And whoever writes the stories needs to go to school again can't spell or info wrong.

Terrible update. Unless it's sports, you can go for days with no new news story.

The double click adds is very frustrating to the point that I'm uninstalling this app.

The use of the app is great, love the live feed when avbl but every link I try to use, not even related to this app, channels me through or to this app. What? Why? How does this even happen? Please fix and I will give it the proper rating. Also, why are the headlines repeated? Just list them once and I can scoll. If a notification comes through it is ot there when I click on it. I can deal with it but all links filtering through this app is reason enough to delete it. PLEASE FIX

I have never felt compelled to rate an app until this one. 1) Notifies you of an important story, then the article is nowhere to be found or it's 404'd. 2) Spelling errors are rampant. Even on the television broadcasts, the anchors are stumbling through the teleprompter due to horrible writing. 3) Article links repeatedly bring you to the same article. 4) Headlines are repeated over and over. This app needs a major overhaul.

Terrible. It rarely opens without telling me an error has occurred. When it does open, it only allows me to read one or two stories, before it shuts down. It ran way better before they updated it. It's useless.

App crashes all the time. Reporters can't spell and seem to have never heard of spell check or even just re-reading their own work. ANN must not have an editorial board otherwise they'd be catching all the mistakes. It's as if 5th graders are reporting the news.

I enjoy the news feed on this app, but it interferes with my other apps. Everytime I attempt to open another app through my email or through a notification this app redirects my request to them. I will not use this app anymore and I will not recommend it to others, in fact I will encourage others to delete it as well.

Terrible. Downloaded, clicked a story, it went to another story. Clicked a different story and the same one came up, not the 1 I clicked though. Ugh! Used to love this app

App crashes frequently. It won't even load whenever there is a major happening in the area and you need it the most to get information. News reporting is heavily biased towards the left. Stories often leave out critical details that don't fit the narrative. Chock-full of spelling errors and difficult to decipher sentences.

It gives you clip its thru out the day but when you go to open the one you are interested in it takes you to the app and said article is no where to be found :-

Headlines do not always link to stories. Articles are not complete. Not user-friendly.

Liked the app before new updates... now there isn't a search button nor Mr Food recipes are gone too. I uninstalled it.

Worse than their last app...which I didn't think was possible. Very few local stories are visible, get a notification of something interesting but it doesn't appear when you click on it.

What a joke. You'll get a notification about a story, click on it and you'll be directed to the main page, good luck finding the story you wanted to read. Way to move backward Action News, I wouldn't expect anything else.

I got this for the Live Feed. Live feed works but it doesn't go full screen. I'll add the 5th star if that changes. Otherwise it's a pretty good source of local news.

No local news tab, very hard to find stories sent as notification s . Old app was better! If you notice the 5 star ratings on this app leave no review, employees?

Miss the old app... it was easier to use..

Get your social engineering at a local level. Only need part of a story, or perhaps just like being lied to? This is your place, where both honor and journalism is long dead and gone.

I loved the old app but I like this one cause I can finally watch live news on my moble phone! Chico CA for the win! =P

App is great! It would be greater if i could export the stream to my bluetooth tv..

Use this one. Not the other

If it isn't broke, DON'T fix it. Very disappointed in new app. The layout of the old one was fine. Easy to see pictures and title of stories in a column.. The new one doesn't work. Just repeatedly tries to load to no avail. And now no notifications of breaking news. New website isn't much better, hard to navigate, have to scroll through lengthy stories, and when you do click an article and go back to menu, have to peruse through all stories again. 0 stars Action News Now.
