KMBC 9 News and Weather

I only use my app for weather. I have a tv for the news. The interactive radar has to be reset everytime I open it. What a pain. The banners and ads take up way too much screen and the pop up commercials are so annoying. I want my seperate weather app back!

This app does not work

It does what I want, but the commercials do get very annoying.

Don't like being forced to watch all the commercials will not use this app anymore

I like your alerts but don't like being forced to watch a commercial before seeing the news item. That's why I don't always respond.

Keeps me updated, love to receive the notifications when something important is happening, weather, emergencies.. Love this app

This app is the best news app ever

Nothing but videos, can't just read a news story. I recommend trying another news app, not this one.

Love the app just one thing it needs a uv index reading in the weather page.

Have no problem watching the Commercial. The story doesn't play,just a spinning circle.

These adds are ridiculously intrusive

Can't turn it off. Only wish to look at news or warnings if I use the app.

Compared local news apps and found this to be my favorite because it doesn't overdo the alerts and their news is presented in easy to read "tidbits" that give my local news on the go.

I'm done with it due to them cancelling somebody's show career livelyhood because of political beliefs Bye!!

Too many videos. You can't read the news anymore, you have to watch it, and to watch you have to view an ad...every...single...time. Not worth it anymore, switched to KCTV5.

All negative alerts tornado,murder,body found,kidnapping or someone famous lost a job. I mean goodness instead of chasing so much negative drama post some good news

If you enjoy watching advertising, then this app is a good choice. If you want news or weather or any other reports, you need to look elsewhere. Calling this a news channel app is a complete joke.

Okay I understand getting revenue from ads put on the site by a credit card company... but most of the time I'm watching ads from KMBC about KMBC on the KMBC app that I am using... I have to watch a 15 second ad BEFORE every news story... (about how wonderful KMBC is for having an app... MAYBE I SHOULD GET THE APP?? no wait, I already HAVE it)

Other local news apps don't pop up ads on me every time I open them, this is really annoying.

I finally found this app I rate 5 star I mean I've downloaded and downloaded app after app trying to find a good weather app and here it is!

This app used to be awesome. Now it's awful!!!!! They have it cluttered with ads, the stories are not as easy to navigate through. When you watch a video it will CONTINUOUSLY restart the vid! KMBC is more concerned with making money from the ad's than bringing a quality app to users. Worst news app! The older version was super simple and it wasn't cluttered with ads. I guess KMBC is hurting for money.

I click on a story to get the whole of it and that's it.... Literally what I read to get me interested is all there is... Alerts won't let me drag down to read all of it. If I click on alert it doesn't send me to that story. Ugh! Giving time for a fix though. Fix please, thanks!

I watch this everyday and it really helps

The old app was much better. The ads crowd the page on my very large screen, if you try closing them out, it ends up taking you to the advertisement!! Very annoying, makes me want to punch the screen. If video included, it tries to auto play, thus goes to black screen and have to try and scroll down to get the text of the article. Totally switching to different news app because this new version is not worth my time.

Wtheck??? I recently updated again, and now every time i click on the interactive radar the app stops working and completely shuts down. I guess it's time to search for a new news and weather app.... at this point i would give zero stars but i can't :/

I get notifications all the time from this app. Typically can only see the first couple words. Other apps let me drag down the notification to read the whole alert. Also when i tap the notification, i never see a related story...just the main app page. Other than that its good for catching up on the days events

It is a good news app to help me stay current on local news. Would be better if I got fewer frivolous notifications, though.

I loved the older version better. It was a lot easier to maneuver.
