KCCI 8 News and Weather

I love kcci but the app is pretty terrible. It has more ads and months old news than anything else. The worst part is when you click a news article it is missing parts of the story for some reason. Not a good app at all.

Good amazing

Annoying "breaking news" that is not really breaking news i.e. sporting events, unverified reports on nonsense from outside kcci.

Up to the minute news and weather with notifications as news happens. Thank you KCCI

The layout is terrible kcci fix the layout or give us a option to switch the layout to something different that's not as cluttered. Or just let us use the old layout. I also have a complaint on videos the adds will play just keep repeating and the videos won't play also they have a 15 minute unskipable add . What happened to the comments on the article that you could view through the app?

KCCI is just another low life liberal mouth piece. Constantly promoting socialism and themselves.

Way way way Too many ads. I'm already using your app, you got me, you can stop pitching to me now. I don't need to see a 30 second commercial before I watch a 60 second video. They also use the app to lash out at Dish Network every time there is an issue with retransmission contracts. That is not news or weather, it's BS. ALL WE WANT IS THE NEWS. We don't want your opinions.

It won't show me the weather or send messages. What's the point?

Pretty much the only reason I have this app is for the weather. The old version of the app prior to KCCI completely changing the layout told me the weather just fine. Now if I wanna check the weather I have to sit through a commercial and then a full page ad pops up after the commercial. And even after I sit through these ads I still can't check the weather because the app freezes up my freaking phone! I've had this app for about five years now, but I'm totally done with it.

Full page ads. Same news stories over and over. It's time to invest money into building a usable app.

To many page covering ads that you have to wait to load then find the x to click to close. I will get my news from other sources

I used this app to chalk weather and school notifications. I am now looking for an alternative. When I can't see the forecast clearly there is a PROBLEM!!

Couldn't find the sports section. Not user friendly.

Where did the smaller 2x size weather widget go. What happened to hourly. This isn't an improvement.Time to change

Hahaha...Just pick an app format that already works...Yours is the worst...

It helped me out on closings and all types of weather. Easy to use and fast working.

Three news stories, three thirty second Iowa Weight Loss adds. I will check the latest stories somewhere else.

The sports section is gone or at least i couldn't find it

New layout is difficult to navigate. Old app much simpler, it gets worse with every update. It's news, no need to get over fancy. Where are the sports? ?? I'm deleting. ...

Every update has gotten worse and worse, from the ads, the automatic videos, to the push notifications that don't turn off. Not to mention the stories that appear for days on end, especially on the weekends. Time for me to get my local news elsewhere

The old app was like my newspaper that i read daily. Now it is so full of advertisements that I go out of my way to avoid any company with ads on here.

So I used either their old version or Google Newsstand to access KCCI. Newest updates to their servers or whatever have made that impossible and now I am forced to use the new app which causes you to scroll forever, just like their new website. I will uninstall and find online news elsewhere.

Couldn't turn of push notifications even after I attempted to in settings. I uninstalled the app.

Doesn't follow design standards and navigation is poor.

When I wanted the kcci app. I didn't want 20 others also just kcci.

It is a very informative app

8-14-16 New update has introduced pop-up ads! Every update just gets worse and worse.

Super biased. Especially for sports. Dont turn notification on. Your phone will go off. If there is a fly in the room. Or severe sprinkles are headed your way

I wish that I would receive as much positive news notifications as I do negative.

Why is it only "news worthy" for things goin on around the metro it seems? Hardly ever see important news for southern Iowa. Things do happen in SW Iowa. More coverage around the state would be great KCCI. 2/18/16 update...UNINSTALLED! Not worth it anymore

This app was much friendlier when you could simply read the story. Now most of the stories are videos with those annoying commercials you are forced to watch before you get the story.

Works 5% of the time. Ridiculous. Don't bother.

Listen to your users - those 30 second ads before every single video are just too much. And half the time they're for KCCI. We're already using your app, why subject us to a KCCI spam?

Freezes more than any other app.

I look to KCCI for local events, weather, and local news. Best newscast in central Iowa. And the app is great...but, I really don't need to see an ad every time I open a story!!! Very time consuming!
