About Healthy Break

If you have a desk job or sit for long, this is the app for you! Take a healthy break during your day and give your body a short, simple and fun exercising routine.

In addition to gaining weight, desk jobs also increase the strain on your back, wrists, neck and eyes. Periods of extended inactivity can cause muscles to lose their tone and, since most of us sit most of the time, appropriate exercises are necessary.

This application is designed to influence people and remind them periodically to take a break and do appropriate exercises, with instructions and pictures for each exercise.

Features:

• Easy to do exercises
• Simple to set exercising notifications
• Set notification time interval
• Set notification sound
• Set notification repeating
• Set break duration

I like the app and it's helping to get me moving, but it needs more variety in the exercises. Including ones that build muscle to help support everything while sitting

Take a look at the "break time" app. I need more options for reminder length and for notifications. Vibrate only should be an option.

R70%
by R####:

Hard to get to know and when you do, you find the settings are very limited. Working periods are 1 or 2 hours - well what if I want 30 minutes? This app has a good potential, but it clearly hasn't been developed with even basic customisation in mind.

U70%
by U####:

Timers are extremely buggy - they don't start at the selected time, sometimes they just disappear, and when it does reach zero it doesn't play the sound. Very limited options also. Can't comment on the exercises, never got to see them actually pop up!

I've checked out a few ergonomics apps, and this one is the best. It's got a clean interface that doesn't look like it was designed in 2009, and includes clear, easy to follow exercises. One or two words on the quirks. I found at first the timers were a bit erratic. Best thing seems to be just reinstalling the app. It happens. Also, to get the exercises to come up, click the notice in the system bar at the top of the screen. Also, the developers are extremely responsive to feedback or suggestions.
