O Campeonato Mineiro de Futebol de 2016 - Módulo I, terá a sua 103ª edição do campeonato estadual de futebol de Minas Gerais equivalente à elite do futebol mineiro. O torneio contará com a participação de 12 equipes, sendo que neste ano de 2017 serão; Cruzeiro, Atlético, América Mineiro, URT, Tombense, Vila Nova, Democrata, América TO, Uberlândia, Tricordiano, Tupi e Caldense.
