Ask a Doctor for Android
App was great to start with I paid the subscription the lot. First few answers were quick only taking a few hours I was normally longer than the Dr. However last two questions are still unanswered one from two days ago and one now 14 hours ago. Really considering cancelling the subscription and deleting app
Horrible app. Do not subscribe. I did and asked about a health concern and on the third correspondence the so called doctor finished my final diagnosis which was that my body was disordered, then rephrased my description of my health concern and told to go to the ER. Really? This was not a medical emergency. The emails were poorly written and sounded like they were written by some uneducated nondoctor kids or fraudulent adults. Terrible app. Horrible advice. DO NOT PAY FOR THIS CRAP APP....!!!! Fraud IMO...
Personally I think this app is fantastic, I needed specialist cardiologist advice as no NHS doctor would even listen to my concerns and I was able to get an answer immediately to a query that I knew was of something that needed investigation. If you have to wait weeks for an NHS appointment or your Gp's disregard your concern and it still concerns you, go here and get a specialist in the field of concern and ask the question! Absolutely brilliant app!
Very quick respone from the doctors but not thourough enough answers from the doctors. Also, limited to 2 questions, in which you are limited to 160 characters. Anything further you want to find out about your condition you have to pay a ridiculous fee of $15-18. Feels like a scam. They wouldn't even inform me of the potential effects of the drugs I was mixing. Both of their responses were literally '
Hello. I really do like this app. I needed to ask someome what my infection on my arm was and im really happy knowing what it is and what my next step can be. However, im afraid and frustrated with this app. I have used my 2 free questions but i seriously want to ask more. And i dont want to ask the doctor because i have to pay. I really need to ask question
I only needed this for a one time question and I think it served it's purpose. I'm having some bad abdominal pain and was told to take some painkillers and possibly get an ultrasound to rule out any other serious problems. For a free opinion from a doctor I don't think it's bad at all.
It's junk. You get 2 free questions. But when I asked a question, the "doctor" that responded sent me a link. Then link wanted me to pay to get the answer, even tho they claim it is free.
Its a very valuable app for me. It came to help when my father got sick in the midnight. All the doctors I have consulted here are very kind and responsive. Thanks a ton for their valuable suggestions and I would say a must app in every smartphone.
Alright you get two free question but with the amount of characters they give to type your question its impossible to get a precise question out!!! And with the limited space I attempted my question and the answer I get back totally didn't cover anything I mentioned in my question!!!!! I wonder if these people are actually real doctors or people on the other side of the world trying to make a quick buck.....! People don't know what you guys are talking about.....! If you want to charge your service at least gives the people a great example of your service if your offering it for free, that way people might not be so hesitant to pay for your app... Need improvements!!!!
I had an issue while I was OOT on a weekend get away so I decided to try it. It took my information and gave me a response FOR FREE. It wasn't a fast response, maybe 10 minutes tops, but if it would have been more immediate then I wouldn't feel like any real thought was put into the response. No problems at all for me. Thank you.
Yes you can ask 2 free questions. But it is limited to 160 characters. And you can't ask a follow up question. It is almost impossible to ask a proper question within 160 characters. You will get an answer for the question you asked but definitely you won't get a solution to your problem. Instead of this I prefer to go to a doctor and get a proper consultation. Even if you search Google you might get a better solution than this. Please don't waste your time in this app considering it as free....
This is one of the best applications, I have come acrossed. Doctors are experienced and the response are quick and apt, one can rely on it. I could have given 5 stars. The technical team realy need to work on improving the effecincy of application. You can't upload more then 2 images for Dr review. It is accepting lab reports only in image format which is time consuming, they should work on providing the option to upload reports in Pdf format. Application hang at most of the time.
I dont know what people are complaining about not getting their 2 free questions. The option is on the mid top right. Anyways, I asked a question for my baby for safe dose of a certain type of medication and I got a quick reply. The dr also gave me the exact same answer that my local pharmacist gave me so I feel confident with the drs reply Although, I do wish the free question had more then 160 characters and that the drs reply was a bit more detailed.
this app is a blessing. didn't take up large amounts of space, I was able to download though I'm almost out of storage. the features are simple, ask a question, upload supporting documents, read your answer and follow-up questions. done. what more could I want. oh, the answers I received were professional, concise and timely. I pay for the service, wouldn't want it if it was free, I wouldn't trust it.
Not only did the so called doctor take over 24 hours to NOT answer my question but I was told to elaborate!!! With only 160 characters how can I do that? I used plain English and gave all the info I could that was pertinent to the question. How can you be a doctor and "not understand" a simple question? This is a waste of space, time and effort!
asked 1 free question and got a very simple answer i wish had more detail but what can you expect if you are not going to pay. If you dont want to pay i reccomend just googling because u can get more detailed explanations on what u want to know. Do not rely on this as a cure all they cannot see or treat you through the phone. I guess its ok for basic non life-threatening questions. Only useful if u buy-- u can ask follow ups and get a detailed answers. Its best to see doc in person.Uninstalling.
I did find how to post a free question, however it really doesn't let you sample the true experience of the service. You can't attach a picture or ask a follow up question. If you're going to allow a free trial, allow a free trial for the whole experience one time. I did get an answer about 3 minutes after posting, however very vague and not that helpful. Make the free sample a true free sample. Thanks.
Long, detailed answers and suggestions from pediatrician, Dr. Samanth. Would def use him and this app again. The cost is cheaper than insurance copay per question, and only slightly more to ask question plus 3 more follow up questions!
Asked a free question about my eye, and a cardiologist answered with "I recommend you ask a specialist."??? It was a question I would bring to a GP and a GP could diagnose. Waste of time and waste of a free question. My mother could have made the same suggestion. Googling my question gave me more to go on. Not helpful and doesn't indicate to me the value of this service, so why would I pay?
Would have been great if we can use the feature that paid users have but with just two queries because if you want us to subscribe, you should let us experience what a subscriber could get so that we'll be more interested to pay for your app.
I asked a specific medical question and the response was a doctor advertising his personal business. Doctors shouldn't be allowed to respond to a question unless they actually answer the question. I didn't need a new your psychologist, I needed just a simple question answered about what otc medicine I can take while on a blood thinners. Makes no sense!!!
Would be 5* if no limit on how many characters i can input, but 2 free medical questions!!! People with the negative comments can go to the doctors and wait a few hours to have them answered!!!. It is good when you really need it and not just superstitious.
This is the big Cheater application, don't buy it anyone. i bought unlimited specialist. i asked some questions from different specialist, they blocked me. i asked the reason, they said i asked more questions. i thought unlimited . but they have limited. after paid they make fool. My subscription will expires on 26/5/2016. i cancelled my auto renew subscription only. now asked when will unblock my account. they said you need to pay again. they really bullshit. don't buy anyone. and they replying time also m
Really helpful to have an informed opinion on an important issue. The medical advice was detailed, personalized, and spot on. I needed to go to the ER, but I didn't know if I was over-reacting. Turns out I wasn't, and it was important for me to go. Having that confirmation with detail was very important for me.
Okay 1 they try to get you to pay if you want to put a picture, they also make you pay if you don't want to like are you kidding me if I want to pay I would go to the doctor and pay what 5 dollars more. 2 when you go to ask from free they don't answer you at all I mean why have it there if you don't even use it.
So it lets me type in my question and add my picture files. It wants $35 for someone to answer, but I get 3 free follow up questions. For that much I might as well bite the bullet and go to the doctor. My co pay is only $20.
I just downloaded it, wrote my question, proceeded and its asking me to pay?? It says two free questions and I ain't even get my 1st question answered... Def deleting app
This is a good idea but tha free part is kinda a tease. They should have a Dr you can talk to for free and get all the premium features. Not everyone can afford to pay jst to text back and forth with a Dr.
You really do get 2 free questions! But, you only get them AFTER YOU PAY $18 BUCKS! what a rip off piece OF SH!T I think it gave me a virus when I downloaded this app!! STAY AWAY!! USE web MD instead!!
I paid for this and received a very poor service. Dont do it people. I subscribed and got the unlimited package which should last a month at least, but 24 hours later I cant ask anymore questions without paying more money to them. If the administrator replies below to my comments DONT believe what they say! They took my money and then took back the service, saying "you have used this service more than an average user" and I only spoke with 1 doctor. Dont waste time and money on this app.
ecieve my first 2 free questions and it was dental questions but never once answered buy the dentist
From now I need more than 2 questions to ask because my grandmother is very old and i need to know whats important for her because i dont want to loose her so please give me many questions to ask. Sincerly, Elie
Why does it say 2 free questions when you charge?? So your not free I'm not bout to pay for this if I don't even know if it work so you lied in the first comment
I used this app and asked a free question, which works fine. I got a response in under 3 hours I think. My left shoulder was really hurting me. This "doctor" told me it may be frozen shoulder. WRONG! I had a pinched nerve in my neck that was causing my shoulder and arm to hurt.
If we get 2 free questions, why is it asking for payment first?
2 questions???? Thats it ??? I better go to a real doc and ask him for his advice..This is useless. Why should i pay if i have to ask a doc online. This is useless. Please dont download
Scam, literally the worst service I have ever seen you don't tell people you get 2 free questions yet when you try to post your first free question it tries to charge you. Here's a tip go to a doctors and get checked out rather than ask a scammer for help. Literally 10mins wasted of my life.
It helps knowing some info on my symptoms and relieves a bit of stress knowing if I have to go further to get treated directly by a physician.
Offer a free question, but I have to give my credit card. No thanks. EDIT: Oh, I must be retarded then, because I selected "ask for free" then hit the "ask" button, at which time I was directed to a page to bill my Google wallet. You entice people with a free question or two, but nab them with requiring payment before it can be posted. Seriously? That's the best reply you can make?
