HBO GO Android TV

The app has not played content one time on my Mi Box.

Cant log in with Comcast...

This app is horrible. Netflix can stream 4k video and 5.1 surround perfectly yet this app struggles with 1080p and 2.0 audio. It constantly freezes, stutters, video gets out of sync with audio, etc. Please HBO, read the reviews here and fix this app.

Absolutely terrible coding 1. Very slow to navigate the menus 2. Not good for tracking what you've watched and where you are in a season 3. ***Lately has been frequently stopping during playback, requiring me to "clear cache" for it to work again.*** Content is great of course though.

This app freezes especially after the android upgrade on my 2015 Sony Bravia TV. Netflix doesn't have issues so it must be this app.

This app fails to playback video most of the time and when it does, it can only stream for a few seconds before the video freezes then gets incredibly out of sync with the audio.

HBO Now please???

Great App for phone and fire TV but useless if you have Comcast as they make no attempt to support their customers and whine about losing their TV box lease fees. Don't expect Comcast to change this anytime soon. Drop Comcast as I will be and go with pstv or sling and add HBO or go HBO now and just cut out the middleman.

This app is terrible. I compare it to Netflix and Hulu which are on the same TV. 1. The app always goes back to the main menu. Other good apps go back to where you were, i.e. to the show you last watched. 2. HBO is clearly not giving bandwidth to the app. Netflix 4K shows are perfect using a wireless connection. HBO is continuously downgrading the signal from HD to SD right before it starts buffering. Right now I'm tempted to turn off HBO until GoT starts again.

Installed this on my Sony 4K TV and it doesn't even stream in 5.1 surround yet the Starz app does... Might as well watch HBO OnDemand. Needs a lot of work

LOL Comcast, a word of advice. Change with the times or get left behind. I get that a large corporation would have difficulty changing it's business tactics due to the size of your corporation, but Netflix, Hulu, and SlingTV are all doing the right things with their content to ensure they continue growing. You are not which is why you'll get left behind. Greed isn't a long-term growth model.

I wouldn't know how well the app works because unfortunately I'm forced to have Comcast as my cable provider. It's complete BS that I can use the app on my phone (and cast to my Android TV) but not use the official Android TV app when every other cable provider is listed but the nation's largest. Google and HBO need to put pressure on both the FCC and Comcast for this blatant device discrimination. Because of course you can log into the app if you're a Comcast subscriber... on Apple TV.

Can't watch much of anything using this app if you are subscribed through Comcast. Comcast seems to go out of their way to block access to streaming services on certain devices. Comcast needs to provide access to HBO GO and many other streaming services to Android TV users. This is getting ridiculous.

Fails to play video (Black screen) on SHIELD Pro using ATT U-Verse. Will cast (phone app) from Nexus 6P to Shield Pro.

Great so you created a HBO GO app for the TV but it doesn't support Comcast like you phone app. How does that make any sense?!?

Comcast doesn't support the Nvidia Shield for some reason. Makes this app completely useless. Thanks, Comcast.

I like this on Android TV. I really like Gxoogle's Live Channels feature. I will give five stars if this becomes a source for Live Channels

Why is there digital sound with chromecast but not with this app?

No Comcast support. So can't use HBO Go on my PS4 and now can't use it on my Sony TV. Awesome. Yet I can cast from my phone, makes no sense.

Great app but doesn't work with Comcast Xfinity yet. Big disappointment!

Can't use it since I have Comcast. C'mon Google, if you want people to chose an Android TV over a Fire TV or Apple TV, you need to make this app (and others) available to Comcast users...

Will you guys, Stars, Showtime and the rest PLEASE stand up to Comcast trying to extort money out of both ends of the delivery pipeline and pull your channels from their lineup unless they stop this idiocy of dictating which platforms can use YOUR apps? At least file suit with the FCC. This is really ridiculous.

I've been waiting for this app to remove my Chromecast from my Bravia Android TV. Couldn't cast to the ATV from my phone but now I don't need to. I would like to see the voice search work in the app. Manual search is rather troublesome.

I'm very happy that this app finally came to android TV. Unfortunately, the audio gradually falls out of sync, making it an unwatchable experience. Ironically, it doesn't do this when casting to the same Nvidia shield device.

For some reason this only allows you to log into this specific "Android TV" version of HBO Go if your cable company specifically allows you to use this app.... If you have Comcast you can use the phone app but cannot authenticate on the Android TV app...

This would be a great advancement in Android TV, but unfortunately if you have Comcast, you can't use the app.

So happy this finally came to Android TV. Works great on my Nvidia shield and my Nexus player. WIll give it 5 stars if it ever supports dolby digital like the Roku app. Would also be great if you could watch the live feeds on it like you can with the Roku Showtime app.

Installed it on my Razer Forge but when playing video screen is black and audio works. I am connected via FIOS hopefully there is update soon.

Once again Charter Spectrum TV in St. Louis, MO screws over customers by *not* being a leader in TV services. Charter Spectrum is not on the list of allowed services to use this app.
