Simple app, small in size, does exactly what I need it to do. Count pitches for both Home & Visitor. Took a moment to find the reset (located in settings). Would be better to re-label foul as pitch. This would allow keeping ball/strike count accurate while still accounting for total pitches. A batter can fly out, ground out, get a hit, or be hit by pitch. Pitch count increments, but is neither a strike nor ball. A nice feature to add would be a setting to warn when pitcher is approaching max pitch limit. LL rules have max pitch count based on age.

A very basic idea is here. "Count pitches." However, functionality is limited and it needs updates in multiple areas... 1) Fouls do not get added to the count as strikes. 2) The count is read "Three and One" or "3-1" as in balls first, followed by strikes... The display readout has strikes first, followed by balls. This isn't convenient nor practical to read aloud when umping. 3) Could use an out-tracker, as well as an inning indicator.

The app does exactly want I need. It counts balls, strikes, for two baseball pitchers. It does not keep record of pitchers over time.

I like that you can keep an accurate count on how many strikes and balls have been thrown. How can you count the pitch hits though?

The app allows you to decide whether the pitch was a strike, a ball or foul ball. When selecting a foul ball, the pitch count increments, but the strike total does not. It is my understanding that any foul ball is credited as strike for the pitchers ball vs strike counter. Update: Any ball that is hit is considered a strike for the pitcher, regardless of whether it was a foul ball or home run or something in between. If you investigate the pitching stats, total pitches always equals # of balls + # of strikes. In your app that is not the case. A strike credited to the pitcher does not mean a strike was called on the batter, eg foul ball on 0-2 count is a strke for pitchers stats but not a 3rd strike against the batter. The two stats are independent of each other. The count on the batter has no impact on the pitchers Ball/Strike Ratio or his pitch count. The foul ball option serves no real purpose in this app unless you were attempting to keep track of the count on the batter.
