Love the original site dearly, searched for the app on a whim and I'm pleasantly surprised! Needs some updates though...I've experienced some lagging on a factory new s6 edge+ from only this app... Only other issue is that the apps news feed seems slower than the site. Still have to give 5 stars because we all love science!!!
This is excellent application. But I noticed that when you scroll abit to load more sciencey stuff, it starts to pop up small windows "Loading more sciencey stuff" at the bottom center. These popups dont go away even when you close the app. Only when I clear it from recent apps, Then it stops.
2 out of 10 times, the app actually shows content, mostly just displays white, empty screens through all sections unless reinstall. very annoying not worth it when can just visit site. obvi not well developed!
This app is a veritable treasure chest of information. The only problem I have is with the lag on info. I used to get a fresh batch of stories almost daily until recently. Since a few weeks ago, the news has only updated once. This has caused me to consider ditching the app and going straight to the website. I hope this problem can be addressed, as I really do not want to go that route.
App is really cool. Love all the info I can ingest here. But can we please get a feature to save articles for later reading? That would get the app star rating for sure!
The only thing is that some articles need to be read through a link to the actual site. It's not much of a problem but its a teensy bit inconvenient. But nonetheless I love IFLS!!
You guys gotta update the feed to the original content of the website or the facebook page. I don't need to use it if all the new articles comes 4 days later. Keep it update it
I love IFL but this app is rubbish. It's slow, it doesn't work and the layout is counter intuitive. Just use chrome and get your IFL fix through your browser, it's really much better!
It glitches and continually pops a message up saying "loading science", I have to force stop the app to make it stop. Other than that, it's great. Nice layout and lots of great content
However the notification saying "loading more sciencey stuff" is displayed on top of everything even if you minimize the app... Annoying!
I enjoy this app but I can't watch any of the videos. When I click on a link it opens a page that says 'about blank.' Which is fitting because there is nothing on the page. I like everything else about it.
Before IFLscience was in my life, it was a bleak existence. I used to rub sticks together in order to summon the great fire spirt so I could stay warm. Now I know all about this crazy stuff called electricity which can produce light and heat and all I have to do is flip a switch or turn a dial on the wall! No more stick rubbing for me! I did however regress at and became ignorant of nearly everything after watching just one episode of Jersey Shore. Fortunately I found my way again thanks to IFL Science.
Da best. Simply the best, I get friends and customers asking me what is new in science everyday. I highly respect this app/page for keeping people up to date with all the important studies and revelations in the ever-changing world of science! Thank you truly and deeply from my heart! My scientific graviton pumping heart!!
I like this app as a whole, no annoying ads or things of that nature, although none of the videos open for me either. But it's uninvasive and runs smoothly!
This app is cool, but there is definitely something missing. I also noticed it didn't update any where close to how fast the website does.
Great app, great team, brilliant science updates, good layout and presentation. Only problem is the videos, they generally won't load. Need to search YouTube for it.
The app is actually really nice, divided by categories (if wanted), and fast opening...the big problem is: they don't put new news! I mean now the latest news is from 9 days ago, even if you push the refresh button, no actual fresh news
This app is very fast at loading articles compared to the website and even gives you notifications when new articles are posted. But what makes me not like the app and stick to the actual website is that when new articles are posted, they are posted on the website hours or even a day earlier than on the app and they are not posted in the same order as on the website so i have to scroll through everything to find what i havent already read.
I absolutely love this app. However, when I try to refresh the page to see if there are more articles, it doesn't work.
This app has some nice articles but it is glitchy and the layout is basic. Just a go to app to see what's new in the science world during free time. I do like the length of the articles (not too long or short) and they're well written.
This app perfectly transfers the latest articles from IFLS to a streamlined app with a gentle and powerfully functional UI that completely translates to excellent browsing and navigation. Articles preload so that it seems the app is intuitive to the end user. Great app, not filled with ads, and a perfect companion to anyone interested in IFLS.
Exactly what you'd like to read/know.
App won't let me open articles to read but all buttons in the menu work just fine. Very disappointing..iflscience is one of my favorite sites but this just sucks..
I love IFLS as a whole, however the app is glitchy, I can't watch any videos with any application. Pressing a video link opens the Web browser, but loads nothing (shows "about:blank" in address bar). I hope you guys can fix it..I enjoy reading the articles without having to crawl through Facebook.
Before this application I could barely read and formulate sentences. Now after a month of brain food via this app I have published formulas on aeronautical trejectories that will bring upon us the dawn of a new mankind
I installed android m on my nexus 5 and now there is nothing to read, the screen is blank for ifls. I can swipe right to access the menu (refresh, categories, blog, etc) but the screen is blank in the reader. Very sad, even paid for no ads a second time. . . . . . . . . . . . . Updated, they fixed it, sweet OK back to 5 stars, great app.
i never rate apps but this one is worth it. i love how they let us know about even the smallest things going on in space. although i think many of the things they post should be headline news. thank you ifl science!!!
The only problem is that the stories in the reader are old. I can get the most up-to-date stories on my web browser.
I love the notifications they send; it saves my brain from binging on Netflix mindlessly. I really enjoy their website so when I discovered this app I was ecstatic! The layout is aesthetically pleasing and the app makes it easy to browse from topic to topic. Overall it's a must have for science lovers out there. One thing: I wish it had a way to save articles in a section of the app so I could read them later on. That would be very helpful :) it would also be great if you could open links within the app
This app has definitely become one of my favorites. I'm reading every time I get the chance. The UI is simple and straightforward, the articles are great and the categories are awesome. But there are a couple of things that could improve this app, such as the ability to play videos within the app. Another thing could be to have the at least some of the most recent articles soon, I feel that we have to wait a couple of days to get the new ones. Other than that, I totally recommend it.
Unfortunately I get this error every time I try to run the app. I rebooted my phone but still just get the same thing. I also don't know why most of the reviews are for the iflscience website and not for this app.
In 1996 I was administered the Woodcock Johnson Psycho Educational Battery. Given the results of a 159 IQ. Recently, after years teaching celestial navigation to officers in the navy, I asked the moderator of this site for some networking. I have developed a hypothesis on the walls of a black hole. Upon my inquiry, I was surprised sequentially asked if I needed flash cards by the moderator. SHE FEELS SHE IS SMARTER AND BETTER THAN YOU. Remember. Those who report cannot do.
Ifls is great. Always entertaining with new scientific discovery. Thumbs up!
Some of the stories makes me wonder if they are real or not. For the most part they are extremely interesting.
IFLS contains an amazing cross section of very captivating science!
A magnificent application. Great and convenient way to stay in the loop and educate in regard of science at all it's remarkable layers.
I really like this app. Reading all the interesting news it has and the constant update. I've transitioned from reading the newspaper, to reading exiting thing here and have learned quite a lot while doing so. However it does have problems with the videos. Its really hard to watch them. It something you could work on. On Facebook the page works fine and it should do so in the app as well.
It glitches and continually pops a message up saying "loading science", I have to force stop the app to make it stop. Other than that, it's great. Nice layout and lots of great content
Great way to get IFL stories on the go. App is fast and responds well. Haven't had any issues with it either.

I love this app! I only give it 4 stars because the articles don't refresh as often as I like (takes a few days to get the new articles) and every time I click the links for the videos it directs me to a blank screen. other than that it's my new favorite app!
