Dolch Beginner

Reading is perhaps the most important skill a child will ever learn. The Dolch word list includes the most common 220 words and 95 nouns encountered in children’s books. Dolch words, or sight words, are critical in early reading development because they represent high-frequency words and are difficult to sound out or to illustrate.

Each of the words is classified by grade level and ability. Dolch Beginner focuses on words for children in preschool, kindergarten and first grade. It includes the Dolch lists for Pre-Primer, Primer and First. It also includes a customize option that allows you to select words that your student or child is focusing on in their study.
