Harris + Hoole

Why when you update the app does it give you two icons? One of which doesn't open? I've uninstalled and re downloaded but still the same re the 2nd icon. I also preferred the look of the old stamped loyalty card plus on the old version you could see at a glance what your "usual" drink was ie the size, strength, decaf or regular etc on the updated app it just says what coffee and you have to go in the settings to see more detail. All in all...I want the old version back please!!!

I loved this app until I updated it this morning and now it doesn't even load when you launch the app! Disappointed

The old app was user friendly, this one is horrible and for some reason installs two app icons

Been using the old version fine for ages. New version won't even open on my Nexus 6P.

Lost my free coffee stamps!

I recently changed my phone. I downloaded the app again, but the balance on my old phone (£30) did not transfer. So where has this gone?? No one in store seems to know, apparently one store member emailed harris and hoole to find out where it had gone but I have heard nothing.

I go to harris and hoole everyday but after getting a new phone and trying to log in to my account, the app keeps saying that my email and password are wrong. When trying to reset my password it says my email is wrong. Even though it is not. all my saved up cards have been lost...thats around 7/8 free coffees I will now miss out on.

I love iced coffee though sadly it's not listed on your app so i can't check in to pick one up. <b> feature request please add iced coffee as an option

This app worked perfectly for a year before this update. No problems whatsoever. Now it won't top up credit and I couldn't pay for my cup of tea yesterday which was embarrassing. I've emailed the Payments Team about this. Also, where has the Loyalty Card gone? I used to like seeing the different stamps popping up on screen. I'll be happy to return to a five star rating when the original app returns.

If your phone is locked to a network, you need to turn off wi-fi in phone settings before opening the app, as a locked phone cannot transmit any data by wi-fi. Harris & Hoole should have explained this. Click on tick until it turns green. App now works, just had my free drink. After closing the app, remember to turn wi-fi on again, as the phone uses it for location.

Why would you go and ruin a great app. It's boring, tasteless and without emagination. Very disappointed. Hope we get a update soon as this app is embarrassing

Cannot now log in. I have loyalty points that I now cannot access. Have written to them they dont bother to reply. Not spending my money with them anymore.

Doesnt work anymore cant check in... App crashing or stops working all the time useless, did work before update!

Really excellent coffee, told my friends to visit, get the app and enjoy a first coffee on the house, but none of them could get their coffee. Strange new update

Unbelievably good app. Walk in, tell them I'll use my app, they instantly know my name and use the till to take payment. Didn't need to do anything. Great app.

For some reason I now not only have to put up with an awful design that is worse than the original (which was great btw) but I also have to have two icons in my launcher. One which does absolutely nothing. I can see many people complain about this which makes me wonder if the developers even tested the app before launching.

Can't view loyalty card, interface is clunky and looks poorly designed, had to log in again, it's forgotton my payment details. The old interface was much much nicer and user friendly, why the change?? Also, it allows me to check into a store that I'm over 100 miles away from! It appears to have put 2 icons in my app drawer too

The app looked so much better before the latest update. It also creates two icons in my app drawer.. why? Nothing opens when I press the fugly icons in the app. I won't bother using it on future visits, which means no loyalty points... ergo less visits.

Why oh why was it changed? Totally unable to make it work at all when visiting last Wednesday. Even the more adept/knowledgeable staff were baffled. Have I lost any of my points - I have no way of knowing now!

Appauling "update". Shame I had to give a 1* rating. Prefer to go back to stamps on a card. Could have had four tokens towards a free drink.

Nothing wrong with the app as it was. Now you can't read the loyalty card easily or your usual saved drink. Don't understand why it was changed. Bring back the old easy to use style please!

Great coffee, can't fault h+h. New app needed a couple of reinstalls & phone restarts though too get it working.

I not have two Harris and Hoole apps now on my phone after the recent update. One is the new app and the other is just blank... Confused

Was asked very politely to download the app as the old loyalty cards are to be phased out. Downloaded as instructed to find that I just cannot upload a photo! Please assist Harris + Hoole. I want to use that payment functionality but so far this is rubbish! UPDATE: Photo now works and able to use at last. Very good 1* to 5*!

Once I figured out how to use the app, it was very visually appealing and interesting features such as checking in, as well as the free coffee on download. It was just initally a little difficult to figure out what was where. Otherwise very good!

I love H&H coffee and loved the idea of the app. Interface looked very promising and I got really excited about being able to pre order my coffee. And then I spent half an hour trying to upload my photo to no avail. I must have taken 10 photos and tried using several existing ones. It simply would not load. And without photo I can't register my card. And without card the app is pointless. I even tried reinstalling the app. Bit it still didn't work. Seriously disappointed!!!

Good idea in theory, terrible in practice. This app is basically an excuse to avoid giving out free coffees for loyalty.

Great app, it's just a shame the shop in the city appears to have closed down. I have no use for the app now.

Check in before you get to a shop + the rest is so easy... , The Barista already knows your 'usual' + paying too.

App was very good for a very long time but for the last few weeks doesn't check in anymore.

Other coffee chains take note, this is how you run the electronic side of your business.

Was promised free coffee... Signed up and it said couldn't send mail. Tried again and it says my email is already in use. Luckily your staff were kind enough to make me one anyway :3

Great app but frequently won't check me in so I'm unable to get my stamp. And yes I've turned off my WiFi...

Tried to get free coffee as they don't take the cards now, non of the Essex stores are showing on the app. Waste of time.

Those who are having trouble using the app, try some of these to get it working.... location must be on so the app can check where you are and locate your nearest H+H shop. Also if you're using H+H WiFi you have to fill out the online feedback and also select agree. And ideally check in before you go into the shop to make the process quick and simple. X
