JBL Music

So I have Bluetooth connected and am playing music. So I download the app and I can control volume but not the lights??? This app is terrible don't waste time.

Half of the icons disappeared after 2 days of use. The whole app is not properly developed. I believe after creating the App for iOS the developers just got forced create this. Truly disappointing from a house like JBL!!!

The app could have been as great as the device itself. There are some interface kinks, connectivity lags and most annoying of all db issues. The media for animation gets added to gallary.

This app is useless, it serves no function other than to waste space! It is much more easy and practical to just connect via Bluetooth and then play music the regular way. Uninstalled.

They said the app would be ready by Christmas. They have lied. I'm taking my pulse back and suggest you do the same. There are better options, anyway.

When ever i am connect jbl charge 2+ with laptop, The wifi goes off! Same is happening with hp on windows 8, apple ipod and android nexus....is any one experiencing the same issue. How to correct it

It would be nice but it don't work for my pulse 2 the latest one. And I'm not happy paying a lot of money than not having an app that'll work online and not connect properly to an app

Cannot believe they could make an app worse than the terrible speakers they make. App is very poorly designed. Some idio with his head in the stars designed this.. BTW bought a jbl go speaker which stopped working in a month and they don't have a service centre in my city of 6 million

Previous comment wasnt right and i had a feeling something was wrong and then i realized i had bought a very good knockoff of the Pulse. Thats why it would never connect to the app. I have since bought the original JBL pulse and it works like its supposed to the app gives you 7 extra themes. Love it!!! Never again will i buy a known brand from ebay for half its price ...

Does everything it should do, like change led and set it so it can be changed from device itself, change music etc. But fixes are required. Like typos, music list scrolling is a mess. Only after such fixes it will be a complete app. Till then i am using it just to change led.

JBL please invest some serious work into the app. The volume dialer is way too fickle on my tablet and ideally should scale to make it smoother. I operate my l16 via my tablet and you should spend time on how you can make the volume work without effort considering that there is the device volume and speaker volume. Also there are spelling mistakes - embarrassing for an iconic brand.

i thaught this app will work gr8 with my jbl pulse2 but instead it doesnt work as it is described by the app developer... there r no settings for sound equiliser... the preset color scheme also doesnt work... seriously.... app developer fix these problems.. the speaker works well with the music player of my phone rather than this app..

This thing takes over your bluetooth port and anytime you have a bluetooth connection it comes on and drives it nuts. You can't turn it off. I have a bluetooth connection to my car, home phone and ear piece etc. It won't shut off and keeps popping up. Had to remove it. I will add that they added new light patterns to the Pulse but yet you can only have 5 of the 11 patterns installed. You have to pick which 5 you want. Also your Meteor light effect does not look like the picture.

Blu Tooth connects ok...App not so much! I get the orange icon for the Pulse but no actual connection, nor options to adjust the lighting effects. I have a LG G2

There used to be a separate JBL Pulse app. It only changed light, etc on the Pulse. It worked well. Now we have this app, which has poor performance. EDIT: Firmware upgraded has improved performance of control of JBL Pulse colors dramatically.

I'm having a problem establishing the connection between the app and the unit. Always says... "Tip: Connection failed. Please restart the JBL Music App and try again." Followed the tip but still it didn't work. Resolve this problem and I will give this app a 5-star rating.

Releasing software without going through proper testing and relying on users to report issues point to an immature team needing school in the art of basic software development. Even basic features are not working with this new release. Please make the previous version available and bring in a proper team with adequate product development experience.

App gives more control than the speaker itself. Very easy to configure. The programming of light sequences is cool, though I'm not sure why I need yet another audio player. No way even to set it as default player. Manual is super blurry, unreadable.

Non responsive. Can't change the led display modes on my pulse. It worked once and is now set to those modes. I cannot change them. App keeps crashing. UI is crappy and not smooth specially considering it's from jbl! Need to fix!!

Just got the charge, thought this app would add some functionality to it. Heck...it won't even display my music collection correctly . Dont spend any time on this app....the jbl programmers sure didn't.

I just wanted the app for light control since I have no music on my phone and use an old school ipod. It's confusing to get into but I love the light options! The app has more than what comes on the speaker. Very cool.

NEVER CONNECTS!!! Always says restart app but never connects. Half the time it doesn't even recognize I have my Pulse on. Thanks for reducing my excitement for one of my Christmas presents JBL. So much for cool music while I'm deployed!

It's always hangs when selecting a song from album, I have 2000 songs in my device. The light themes are not working for me, it says please restart the app and try again.. Best speakers and worst app

Will never buy any jbl products ever again in my life. Give me my equalizer option back on my pulse you savages. It was such a big mistake to install this application.

I'm not able to turn on the light effects or make any changes at all.....so please do have a look at it and upgrade the software please

Great app but flawed from Pulse 2 compatibility. Should you make these two compatible with each other, I will definitely rate 5 stars.

Dont know why everyone is hating on this app. But i love it. I love that there are more light controls in the app and how ez it is to find them. Really simple lay out. I give it a 10 out of 10

After I installed the app and updated the speaker my speaker lights don't seem to be working or responding properly. . It also stopped playing music ... could anyone tell me how to reinstall the software on the speaker ?

This app fired right up and connection to my note 3 was simple. The app updated and bam the light show features can now be changed remotely. The music manager interface is easy too. It even cataloged my personal recordings I use for training my employees. Great app.

All around great app but for some reason the effect library symbols go blank and don't allow me to see what I'm doing on my phone and it keeps creating photo albums in the photo gallery in my phone desperately need a software update ASAP! !

Just got the JBL Pulse, and downloaded the app. The music player required a bit of playing around with to understand. I didn't realise you had to go to the Add Music part to gain access to the actual player by swiping. The connection can get a bit dodgy, but I'm assuming that's because my phone was a little too far from the speaker, as it's worked fine since. 4 stars, simply because of the difficulty I had navigating the app - I would suggest having some more instructions integrated into the app upon installation. I've seen quite a few reviews complaining about the difficulty of the Add Music feature.

Please bring an ipdate to this app asap. A visual overhaul is what's needed right now. Till then down to 3 stars from 5★

Sound quality improves from 70 to 85% and more although a bit laggy but still im giving 4stars a really great and cool app for music lovers.. i even own a JBL speaker and this app improves it alot very impressive.. keep it up Jbl by Harman :)

Every time I try to connect to my Pulse 2 it says connection failed, restart the music app and try again, and it never works. Please fix !! I was really hyped to control the lights with my phone but this is useless if it's not guna work. Also adding music is lagging, the app overall is full of bugs, please fix

Using this app is very frustrating and you need it to adjust the sound of the L8. Connection is lost very easily using my galaxy note 4. The L8 icon comes and goes?

O will give tgus a 5 stars if this just works. I am using JBL charge stealth edition, and as i try to send my bluetooth file, it wont work. If there is no solution then this product is awful. I hate this. If there is someone that can fix this, please reply to this.

All you guys have valid points but look at it this way this is still a new product, sure i could bash them for them not having call audio for it and also the volume adjustment but you also have to plug it in to update your software as well even with your laptop but all that mentioned that sounds great for the speaker!!!!!!

Very limited functionality, stock music player is far more useful than this. Really needs updated or a complete revamp.
