Harley-Davidson Ride Planner

This is a good app to look at rides in an area, but doesn't track while riding nor can you plan a new route. Dud in my opinion.

This app has tons of potential. Problem is every time I try to load a ride so I can give it a shot, it crashes.

Why does Harley not have an app like Ford Destinations? Search on mobile or pc and send to bike? It's so much safer and just makes sense. Very convenient and user friendly. This app is useless on a touring bike. Am I supposed to use it by reading my phone and GPS on the bike at the same time?

I don't mind not being able to plan the route in app because the routes are saved in the cloud and loaded in app - very sweet. But, The App is absolutely no help connecting or downloading with the new 2016 Boom Box. The app is also not very useful on rides because it will only track your location until the screen locks up. The quality is very good but for me the features I would find most useful are just not there. I gave 3 stars in spite of the uselessness because the cloud storage = collaboration with the H-D ride planner site. H-D ride planner web site is the best route planning I've ever used!!! Developers: Use the App as Boom-Box Bluetooth-Web adapter to get the H-D Ride Planner routes onto the Boom Box - then you'll have the killer app were yearning for!

Used the app on the computer. Not bad. Missing a few options. Would be nice to choose the type of roads you want to travel or roads to avoid. It puts you on highways. I hate interstate riding. No fun

Crap app. Come on Harley! Make an app that we can actually use! If we're out on a ride and want to plan a route do you think we're schlepping around a PC or laptop??? Look around, everyone is carrying tablets and smartphones...hint hint, build an app that allows us to create routes (.gpx format) and then upload them to the new HD Boom system...better yet, let it export to .gpx so we can use it on the old Garmin 660's as well...don't forget your legacy owners!

Works good. Just go online. Plan my ride and save it. Soon as I log in on my phone its all there.... Would be better if could plan rides from the app.

Truly awful experience while trying to create rides suitable for my group of friends. It's wasted enough of my time. No more. I'm uninstalling the app and deleting my stuff on the full web version too. I may as well stick with Google maps

HD should partner with others in the technology fields to build an app that links to Android Auto and other major services.

It's useless if I can't plan my ride straight from the app. We are on a bike. I want to plot out a ride on the fly.

Email links are incomplete! Other than that I like it

Initial review is good. Didnt create using the app but syncs with one created online. Would be nice to add a quick pin login feature so I don't have to type password every time.

Stupid app won't accept my email address

This app has no real function. It will only get you to rallies that are recognized by HOG. You can't just plan a ride like it suggest.

Can't hold a zoom to see dealership location relative to app user, shows dealerships hours and location but no information about events, and just a colossal disappointment.

For such expensive bikes and gear you'd think this would have the same polished operation.

Every time I try to log in it says "the HD server has responded in a unexpected way"

Forgot my password and got locked out for too many attempts. The app says to click on the forgot password button at the bottom of the page, but there ain't one, and no way to ask Harley for help. Very disappointed

Try using my ID and PW. Says not valid. But can open with same in laptop. WTF. So much for being mobile

App as for as mapping a route is fairly good. But having a hard time saving all my work. I can open my saved route on a laptop, but not on my phone.

Uninstalled app. Always crashes when I try to view event.

Shouldn't have to use the web site for this app could be improved

Couldn't create a ride and now I log in, it shows the ride I created on the laptop but the app stops working when I select the ride.

Updated: Works out of the box in creating a route. After that, that's it. Created 7 routes about 2 months ago for a few trips the Legion Riders are going on. Today, the day of, all of my routes are all going to the same place. Each one has the different names and the different mileage like it should, but when I opened each route....they ALL are going to the same place, with the exact same route. What a shame. I will not use this app and recommend everyone to look else where. Good app to plan a route, but you better quickly print it out!

Seriously, what's the point of the app if you can't create a ride from within it? Useless unless you have a computer and already saved your desired route. Until you fix this there's hardly any desire to ever use it.

Forget ride planning with this app which means you can't rely on it for HOG mileage pins/patches as advertised either. Crashes when trying to load rides. Needs better ride planning alternate route features like dragging route to find alternatives like Google maps. creating way points or location to sort of hack an alt route adds time to trip which invalidates ride planning. IMHO. Heading for NY HOG rally next month so we shall see if rally features work, won't hold my breath though....ride safe

Can't even plan a trip with it junk

Keeps telling me that my password is wrong and to use the forgot password link to reset. But there is no link on the page

I use my android and have it tucked away. Would like a voice to tell me when to turn.

Great App loaded right up and signed me in, I think it works better if you load your rides from your computer versus trying to do it from the app. Services locator is great also.

It tells me I have a account with my email. How's that. I just downloaded it. Lucky to get one star

How about a little more control Create a new ride. (Add Delete) to a ride on mobile devices.

This app should read you the directions as you ride (turn left, turn right) that sort of thing. This doesn't You can read the directions, but how do you safely do that while riding a bike? I don't even do that in a car. My regular GPS tells me when to turn. It really should work more like that. Planning a ride on the desktop portion of the app was a bit tricky, but I think after you learn it's little quirks, it's ok. I would give the desktop portion 3 stars. I have no idea what the people who give this 4 or 5 stars are smoking, but I hope they stop before throwing a leg over a motorcycle.

This is just a preliminary preview of an app. Have to wait about 5 revisions before it will have any usefulness. Don't waste your time.
