About HS Detector
An android metal and EMF hazards detector application. The application works on the mechanism of "Electromagnetism". As we know the earth has its own magnetic field ranging from 30 micro tesla (uT) to 60 micro tesla (uT).Whenever there would be any magnetic material in the field of the device it would interfere and change the earth's magnetic field, and the device will detect that change.
If any metal or high EMF is detected the application will play an alarm and will display a pop up text as a warning.
Some times the sensors behaves abnormally.So, the device sensor needs to be calibrated. For calibrating the the sensors, move the device along it's axis or in a figure 8 shape.
This application was created by Muhammad Harris Saeed as a final year project for "Cardiff Metropolitan University".

Basically this app does detect metal. I tested on a metal nut & it did detect however after that it kept on showing me an alert "Metal Detected" for some time. EMF detector works fine. I tried it near my laptop's hard drive & it did detect. There are some bits & pieces need to be fixed for example: I am using Gingerbread 2.3.3, when I clicked on "Help" the page just started acting in a weird way. All in all if you are looking for a free Metal Detector & EMF Detector that is pretty simple to use. This is a good choice with the exception of user interface. If developer gets the user interface fixed I would definitely give it a 4 but for now 3.

So guys as it is mentioned that this application would detect only the magnetic material means it will not detect the metal which are ferromagnetic such as gold and etc And if you have the zooming issue with the help page you can zoom in and out by pinching in and out. And some times when it shows high reading and alerts the user about metal or high EMF is because of the sensor calibration problem. So guys you need to calibrate the sensor when it reacts abnormally, by moving it in a figure 8 shape or moving it around it axis.

It's good app but have issues with detection sometimes start beeping without metal there might be some bug in it but it's fixable . but interface is nice and good idea converting mobile into detector.
