Plateful Meal + Dinner Planner for Android
I LOVE LOVE this App! My dinners were in my head most of the time and I really wanted to learn how to meal plan fory family but was more of a digital girl and not paper. This app does it for me. I add the recipe.link I get from Pinterest or a various blog and in the notes section I put in all the food required to make the dish so when I go to put my grocery list together I just click each dish for the week. I also type in suggested Sides for that dish in the notes section. No wasting food or money. I just wish there was a breakfast and lunch option and a way to add sides and photos of the dish. I highly recommend this app.
As many have said - would love to be able to plan multiple meals! Fantastic simple and free app other than that. Highly recommend.
I wish there was an option to plan lunches as well, and it would be nice to be able to drag meals to a different day of the week, rather than searching for it to change it. Otherwise, for sure a helpful app!
After one of the last updates it took away the option to reorder meals after setting up. This causes you to delete and redo the whole week (depending on the day you want to change).
I wish it could help planning with multiple meals... its great for getting creative with dinner, but does nothing for meal planning with brealfast, lunch, etc
Great app. Easy to use, edit, add new meals. Wish it had an option for breakfast and lunch also, but works great for dinners. Love the shuffle.
Love the idea of shuffling up the meal plans because deciding can take ages! I would love if there was a shopping list that took the ingredients from each recipe
Love the style and simplicity of the app. Wish you could sync (save) your meals and schedule to a cloud service or just Google account. Wish you could characterize the prep time on given meals, and/or have custom categories you could filter the list on. Would be nice to easily sort by faster prep meals for busy nights.
It's very basic? I feel like I should be able to sort by entree, side dish, etc.
Silly. Basic functions are missing. No add, remove, clear, save, import, reorder.
It is nice.... But it's really annoying that I cant go to pinterest and copy and paste and return to where I was adding the recipe. Every time I go to the other app it reverts to the main page. And when trying to copy and paste the link from the body of the notes to add the hyperlink is annoying bc I can't select what I want to copy.bc the keypad keeps popping up and covering what I'm trying to select.
This app has potential. I like the app, but it has a few problems. For example, all the 2 digit dates got cut off after the first digit, and it just says "my" and "my" instead of "my plan" and "my meals." Also wishing there was an easier way to manually rearrange meals, like just to swap two days' meals. It's a decent, simple app, with potential to be awesome.
I have been looking for a simple journal to keep track of dinners, to help decide what to do next. I like the feature that shows when was the last time we had each meal. I like the food icons! Can those be included so we can add them when we input our own meals?
Pretty good, really enjoy the shuffle feature. The notes section is a little glitchy.
Great idea but how do you share your plan with others?
It would be nice to be able to set the reminders based on your lifestyle. Getting a reminder at noon isn't beneficial because I'm out of the house already and then if I need meat thawed I'm SOL. I'm using a different app to set a daily reminder the night before. Other than that, it's a cool tool that I've been using for about a week.
Simple, easy to navigate
It is exactly what I need. One step above the Excel file I had. I don't need anything fancy, just help to keep out of the rut. Love the link option too. I even put in "Board Meeting" so I can schedule that on the night I don't cook. Seriously - this is no frills but menu planning shouldn't be more time consuming than cooking.
Really great app because it's so simple and customizeable to the meals you like to eat. I know it's difficult not to overcomplicate the app but I like the idea of breakfast and lunch tiers, and also if we were able to add in additional notes such as calories or time it takes to prepare to each meal and be able to filter by these options?
Only the first number of the date is showing so it looks like every day is the 1st of the month until they all become the 2nd... Other than that I like it so far! Also might I suggest a skip a day option to compensate for eating leftovers or eating out?
I actually love this app. I would give it 5 stars if there was a spot dedicated for my own recipes. There's room for it on the 'edit meal' page so I'm not sure why that was omitted. Add that and it would be a 5 star App!
I just needed a meal plan generator for meals I already make. Shuffler is just what I had in mind. Hopefully this will help us eat out less because I'll have a plan of what to prepare. Thanks!
I like how this app doesn't overcomplicate the meal planning process. It's easy to use and as such, I found it a very easy way to adopt the habit of meal planning. Love how it shuffles favourite dinners around in a rotation. Would be thrilled to see a colour coded breakfast or lunch tier!
Love this app, been looking for something like it for a while. Two suggestions, would like to be able to set a time for the reminder of the evening meal. Right now it's set at noon I think, would be nice to change to before I leave for work so I can remember to defrost meat if need be. Second, it would be nice to set a meal as recurring in some way so I didn't need to add it. For example, every Thursday is pasta Thursdays. Other than that, couldn't be simpler or easier to use.
Does exactly what I want, easy to use and I love the ability to embed links to a recipe from website I like such as BBC.
Makes planning meals much less boring!
Just perfect when deciding what meal comes next.
Great way to plan ahead

I love the simplicity! All I wanted was an app to shuffle a pre-entered list of meals, and save them to a calendar - and that's what this does. The only thing missing is a help menu/button within the app, as I only by accident realised how to save meal entries to the calendar.
