This could be a great app. The idea is good, the interaction concept is great. But: the drag and drop failed, it is misaligned. it simply failed to work properly on our samsung tablet. The crossword is rather small in size, for a small crossword why not zoom it up a little? Finally, as noted by others, the worst thing is that it does not remember where you were, so if you go back and return, you have to start over. Since it is easy to touch the menu button (which has no confirm) this is a huge problem.

My 5y old loves to put her spelling ability to the test with this game. Even my 7y old can learn and improve spelling for school. But there are three things that can be improved. The vocabulary seems a bit limited and the kids are sometimes bored with the same words over and over again. On the other hand is the repetition maybe good to enforce the learning effect. If you leave the game/grid for any reason you return to an empty grid and all letters already assigned are lost. This is especially bad together with: The placement of the menu button on the bottom left is not very good and it's easily pushed unintentionally. Top left like the other buttons would be better. My lefty child touches it so often I ended up with taping something over the screen on that spot, to prevent the frustration of losing all correctly assigned letters.
