Magic Finder - Find It Fast! for Android
So I had it for a while now and let me see if I got this right. Where to find my keys I have to first press the little button, to make it search for my phone every time. Sadly it works better as a phone locator that it doesn't say key locator. Very tired of getting the error message not in active state.
Customer Service was deplorable...they must know the product does not work. Purchased at Staples...the finder function continues to beep well after you confirm you have found it...have to take the battery out to stop it. A complete waste of money. If there was less than one star, this company and its product would certainly deserve it. All the other reviews were pretty much in line with mine...flush your money down the toilet on this one!
Christmas present ruined. Thanks InvenTel! Only worked on Christmas Day. Now the "deivce"attached to my keys won't stop beeping at times and the app is useless. Radar doesn't work even if the "deivce" is right next to it. Major rip off. Shame on you InvenTel. You ruined Christmas for the person who gave it to me. She is so sad now. I'm not sure if the problem is the app or "deivce." I have now taught my wife to read reviews online and see if companies actually comment on the reviews. Good companies do.
Doesn't work. It'll find the device fine, but then doesn't beep when you hit "find". Radar doesn't work, nothing shows up. Phone doesn't vibrate or make a sound when you hit the "find phone" button on the device. Complete waste of money. How this app has more than one star blows my mind. Uninstalling app, and burning device. Pathetic.
I know we live in a world where EVERYTHING is either on YouTube OR a Web page so no one really tries to FIGURE things out by themselves anymore. I looked at the "Review" comments AFTER I installed the app and figured things out. (Thankfully) so IF you are having some issues (like I had...) then read a bit more and I will list some of the things that I did and mine is working and IS VERY COOL. OKAY so first of all MAKE SURE THAT YOU take the plastic tab out of the battery chamber. This keeps the bat
I just want everyone to know that this magic finder is an offbrand of tile tile is the same thing except it was in comershals and stuff a long time ago. AT&T sells tile at their store and there are other off brands to but don't think this thing is the best way to go. If you are like me and you want to talk to a person about what your buying and maybe get a deal then I would try buying a tile. I'm not saying that this magic finder is horrible. I wouldn't know. I have a tile and it works great but I don't have any other off brands. There's Cube,Nut itracing, Lapa and probably a lot of other ones to but don't think magic finder is your only option. Hope this helped and have a nice day
But it turned out to be my phones bluetooth. It kept disconnecting on my phones end. I downloaded an app that helped with that and so far it's working like a charm!
App locks up phone so badly I had to remove the battery to kill it. Device very cheaply made and came with a nearly dead battery. Seriously, don't buy this on a 1 cent sale, and if someone gives it to you do yourself a favor and throw it away.
This is a terrible device in my opinion. It is a great idea, but does not work properly. I have synced it to my phone and it worked for a very short time ( about a half hour) after finally adjusting the lock/unlock to the battery. And now I can't get it to do anything. Radar is not picking it up, and I also keep getting the power on state message that I have seen from quite a few other people.
This app and service is a pure waste of money, time, and resources. It doesn't work even if that receiver is right on top of the phone...For the great ones who think they are better than everyone else because they found the little plastic battery saver; it is the first thing I did, it didn't take me a day or two to figure that one out! Now who's dumber? Anyway if you haven't bought this piece of crap yet, don't just attach a dummy cord to your stuff. If you did review it so no one else buys it.
The key chain beeps randomly all the time - even when my phone is powered down. During class. While I'm trying to learn. Or in the middle of the night. I hate everything.
Absolutely no reason why this thing is such a piece of crap. App is fine. Device needs to be reengineerd. Its obvious that ppl who design "lost key" apps have never lost their keys.
Very good idea, but the app and the key chain don't work well. I have a note 4. The key chain itself, is made of very cheap material. No where near its worth that you purchase it. This app and key chain system constantly gives off false alerts, it will chime at different times of the night, even when the phone and key chain are side by side. It was so annoying, that I had to take it back to Walmart and get me a refund. This product is cheaply made. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY on this app and key chai
I can't seem to get these to work properly. It keeps saying the device is not on. I took the plastic off under the batteries and even tried the spare batteries just in case. What am I doing wrong? Please help.
I'm sorry I'm always losing my keys. Great idea but cheap. Just bought 2 10 minutes ago and it's crap. Non responsive
"Your deivic doesnt power on. Please make power on state." -quote from this application. Device doesnt work and app has a terrible english translation, returning asap.

My phone says, "Your deivce does not power on! Please make power on state." But it does ring and light up. Now as I'm wiring this it stopped doing things and my phone only says that quote up there.
I figured I'd try it cause I'm always losing my keys. It worked once. That's it. Nope. Returning. Not worth $19.88
Not impressed so far! Some of those As Seen On TV products are absolute crap! I wonder if any of those products even have patents? They make everything look perfectly on tv, and when you purchase the product it never works!!!!
These people seriously need to invest in the quality of this product. I did remove the plastic film between the battery and had all the functions working properly. However the functions we're not useful considering you could not hear the beeping on the keychain 2 feet away it sounded like clicking. And the radar is a joke. Have your body hide your keys in the yard and see if you can find them. I bet you dont.
I don't know why everyone is having problems with this device.. seems to work fine on my phone.. which. Is a galaxy... put in mind it is one of the phones that is low energy compatible devices. Such as ios some android smart devices. I phone/I pad and the Samsung galaxy.. try doing a little reading before you buy a product.. radar works sound works and light works.. does everything it says it does... only thing is it is the most annoying beeping I have ever heard in my life but still works properly
Well hardly ever works locks up my phone completely. All menus written in broken English. Really good idea really bad app.
Absolute garbage. Worked once, that was it. Incredibly cheap design. App difficult to figure out as well, partially due to broken English. Do not waste your money on this item.
I'm gonna have to side with the majority of reviews about this and agree that it don't work at all. Those That say they love it, and the rest of us probably don't know how to use it, i say bull crap, and you guys just got lucky enough to get one that works. I am very tech savey, plus a 2yr old could work this thing (of it worked that is). The problem with mine, and by the looks of it most others is it don't seem to maintain its power supply from the battery for whatever reason. And i tested the batt
Followed the instructions and synced the unit to my phone using the app. When I press the tile for it in the app, all I get is the following message, "Your deivce doesn't power on! Please make power on state!". not only am I not impressed with their inability to spell device correctly, the message itself provides no useful information. This is a major waste of time and money. I can only assume that they plan on most displeased costumers will not think it worth the time and gas to return a $10 item. BTW, to the happy customers that feel the need to make condescending insults towards others does not serve any purpose other than to make you appear small.
Terrible, a 10 year old could write a better app to go with the device. The device itself is crap as well, nothing but random beeps all the time.
This little waste of money doesnt work at all.i have two so i will be returning them. My phone's bluetooth synced up but it gives me that meaninless power on state bullshit message. I read thier reply and i know how to use bluetooth. Why would i call them for help there is only 1 button to push so i got that part down. It seems like they would care or somehow some part of this device may even accidentally work.oh wait, they made thier money.Well at least they won't get mine after i return these two pieces of
Waste of money hit find nothing happens 10 mins later itll beep saying its out of range even though its right next to my phone...random message saying device isn't powered on...great idea but horrible device shouldn't sell things unless they work
The English translation is terrible. I think this app was made by North Korea to spy on American cell phone users, because it doesn't do anything else. Just plain terrible. Forgets BT device, then you have to find it to pair again, so what is the point?! SMH at you for even considering purchase.
It is amazing so far I love it it helps me keep track of important stuff I wish the beeping was louder and had a better speaker, and it didn't feel so cheap and plasticity other than that I loved it.
Same error message as others. Device doesn't power on. So unless you like a useless plastic key chain that can't actually connect to anything don't waste your money.
perhaps the most poorly written set-up instructions I have ever read! I have a degree in Scientific and Technical Writing. In eleven (11) minutes I have synced this device on two different phones--both Android--and all functions operate perfectly. Written instructions are either wrong or terribly translated...stateside, the former applies. My educational discipline has prepared revised instuctions. Magic Finder should do likewise...or prepare for continued negative reviews of an otherwise good device.
Anyone of you complainers try taking out the protective disc between the device and the battery. All functions are in perfect working order. Love the two way. Using the keychain to find the phone. Brilliant. I have my phone paired with my tablet which does the same thing but when im out i always have two things. Keys and phone. Never lose either again unless i lose em both. Love it.
Works well. Is fairly loud in several frequencies. Device works great, app OK. To be clear, the app does work and fairly well for me, but the main feature I bought it for only situationally works. The 2 way tracking only works if the app is open or is in the background. If you close the app or swipe it out if recent programs, it will not work. Same is true if you restart phone but don't run the program. It needs a start with Android and run as a process to be better. Hate button watch batteries.
I bought and paid $ 10.00 each for 2 of these things. My grandpa used to say, "a fool and their money are soon parted." Well need I say more, except for the one reviewer who admitted to shoplifting this thing from Walmart, posting their crime online with a photo of themselves, what ever! My foolish self am going to try one more time to reinstall the software on my Galaxy Note 3. I pray it works half as well as the one customer who put it on their cat and was able to find it 5 blocks away! Here goes.....
Junk. The actual gizmo had no problem pairing up to my phone, but the radar function seems to work randomly and frequently couldn't give me accurate distance info even when the device was only 10 feet away in plain site. The other option -- click on the "Find It" button in the software -- works sporadically. More often though I would get a cryptic message: "Your device doesn't power on! Please make power on state..." What device? The gizmo? It's always powered up. There's some instructions about how to set it to 'dormant' mode by pressing a button on the back of it, but pressing never produced the feedback indicator beeps that were described in the manual. Hence, I was never sure if it was in dormant mode or not. Didn't matter anyway because I would press it again just in case it was in dormant mode already and then try to find it again... still get the same cryptic message. So it doesn't seem to matter if it's dormant or not, the phone can't find it. PS. All my tests were done with a fresh battery of my own.
Works perfectly for my phone. Range is further than I expected so that was cool. Also like that I can use it to find my phone when I need to. I would recommend for anyone with the Note 4 and a habit of losing phone and keys
I don't know what everyone complaining about. It worked for me and did what it said it did. It's not gps. It's a cheap Keychain finder. I would never pay 20$ for it though but it's great when is free and works.
