Great service easy to use. Perhaps a touch pricey but worth it for the convenience
Their service is horrible. They cancel at will, do a poor job of cleaning and charge horrible sums. And.since they pre-charge you for services you have to fight to get your money back. You have to pay to cancel your plan with them and by then you would feel so awful doing business with handy that you would be willing to pay to terminate your contract with them!
I'm trying to apply to work for Handy but somehow it seems unavailable for that. I really need a job. May I please obtain some assistance to that. Thank you.
Zero accountability on this service. $99 fee if you try to cancel plan. Cleaning person showed up 1 hour late and all they did was 6 dishes while we were there. When we left they must have left right behind us, not cleaning anything- even though we paid for add services. We are also missing a tablet pc and it wasn't worth notifying police since they had access to our apt and insurance deductible wasn't worth it. Handy has done nothing to compensate for zero service nor our missing tablet. Now we are being penalized an additional $99 for trying to cancel our plan. This app is trying to take advantage of customers and make customers pay for their lack of accountability. Do not use this service.
If you want to waste your time as a professional handy man this is your app. If you want jobs to claimed before you post them this is your app. I try both sides of this coin and they both suck. Just use takl they are way better!
I used to work for them and they suck we have to pay for cancellations like what the f. We gave no training. No safety.we go alone somtimes at night. We buy our own supplys and are own gas and most of u dont tip. We also got payed 15 a hr but only could work 6 hrs a week and with gas and supplies ud walk away with 30-45 $ profit NOT WORTH IT. NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT OR FOR THE WORKERS Update quit not worth damage to car, money sucked, hours sucked, no training, not worth your time and energy

Service is garbage. They canceled appointment for handyman just minutes before it was scheduled for. I wanted help at my rental property and drove for 90 minutes to meet the handyman but last minute they canceled. Worst app and the comp ever
Clearly trying to schedule days out and in proper time frame but app keeps showing that I'm making a request outside of the appropriate hours. Annoyed.
App isn't working properly. Trying to reschedule future appointments for a specific time slot, and app keeps reverting to past booking history.
They still money from you and they are not fair no customer service is horrible and no service for the pros they don't know what there doing just charge fees to the pros and have no reason why

Echoing Shalabh's review below, among the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I had been using their service at least twice a month for over a year, had one bad experience in which the plumber showed up without any tools, left the premise and didn't complete the task, and Handy refused to refund the $180 charge and was among some of the rudest employees I have ever dealt with. I have contacted my credit card company and will be seeking legal action. There is no way this company can survive if it cannot stand behind its service.
Super annoying app. Instead of just texting you the damn message from the pro, they text you to tell you to open the app. Either trust that I will see the push notification from the app, or text me the message. Also, an unnecessarily complicated and opaque pricing system.
Do not recommed! Horrible service! I had mentioned what was to be done for my cleaning booking, they sent only 1 person to do all the cleaning. That person when they saw what was to be done, refused to clean and left. I informed handy but they just 'refunded' the booking fee as handy credits and refuse to pay it back in actual money. I then asked them to cancel my year long membership, for which they want me to pay a cancellation fee. Really rude customer service too-haven't gotten a reply for my complaint yet.
Ordered home cleaning services and they cancelled all three times about 10 mins before they were suppose to arrive. Every time. At the very least they should probably replace the person if it's less than 24 hrs notice. Or offer a credit or something. Customer service 101. This startup isn't going to last long.
I paid a whole day to give plenty of time for a handyman to install trim and do painting after flood damaged drywall and flooring had been installed. Now it will cost me more than I spent to clean up the mess! Paint all over new floors, trim looks like a toddler installed it. Company refunded less than 25% of what I paid even though I have clear photographic evidence of a ridiculously bad job that has DAMAGED my property (paint all over my floors, seriously?!). Do NOT trust this company with your money for ANYTHING!
Absolutely worst customer service I have ever experienced. Going to the consumer protection bureau to raise my grievance.
Michael A was awesome. Was on time and kind. He has a back ground that always him to do his work right. I usually assemble on my on but the fact that I change things up glad I received a polite person who enjoys doing what he does. Thank you Michael.

The app is easy to use. We usually have the same cleaner, who is lovely and very hard working. Only downside is that if the cleaner is changed to a different person the app doesn't alert you to the change. This is a problem for us because we need to make time to show the new cleaner around and if we don't know there is a change then we don't know to make any extra time for them.
I have waited for months. Literally months for my background check to come back. I have emailed countless times only to be told that I will be notified when it is complete. I contracted for the Govermnent, and that check was back in a week. Awful customer service. Stick with a local handyman service yall. Update: You tell me to contact customer service. I have dont that countless times, and every time your support team tells me to be patient and rhat it will be back soon. That's been 3 months ago, and a least 10 times me emailing customer support.
I signed up as a professional to only find out that there are no jobs in virginia beach, they pop up and I open the app to find out it's not there...hmm.. I also can't sign in as a professional. Only as a customer. Don't download this app unless you want to get pissed off and frustrated. Also, your customer service is absolutyyyyy awful. No phone number to call on both ends for the customer and professional's. This app is like takl, it's a waste of time or too new and you all need to figure out how to actually run everything before opening to the world or whatever it's open to. Also, also, do Not! I repeat, do not respond to this comment with another comment. Email me. You have my info so don't ask for it.
The service provided by Handy is terrible and the customer service is worse. Good luck trying to resolve an issue in a timely manner since the only way to interact with Handy is via email. I have had four different maids come to my place and two were great and two were terrible. I would never recommend this to anyone. Also, three hours is now the minimum you can schedule someone. Who cares if it is only going to take them two hours to clean your place, you are paying for three.
Don't like how you can only see the 5 star reviews for a given pro. This seems shady. I should be able to see the full feedback, not just positive comments. No other review system works this way.
Awful and unreliable. Has about a 20% no show rate and their "pros" are really inconsistent.
Terrible Service! $99 Cancellation Fee! Do. Not. Use. Person broke my stuff. Disgusting. I didn't notice till she left after I reviewed. Now they want to charge me $99 to cancel my plan. Nobody will speak to you on the phone, it's an obnoxious email form. They will only address half of your concerns. Terrible.
I had MANY terrible experiences with this service. I was a customer for a year and a half-- 50% of the time the service was BAD. The customer service was patronizing, rude and unhelpful. Some of the cleaning ppl will completely ignore your instructions. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!! When I complained they doubled the price!

They will overbill you, not check with you and then charge you a cancellation fea. Avoid completely.

This was my second time using HANDY, and I will give another cleaner ONE MORE TRY; as both my cleaning services were just "ok" (at best)...the first cleaner: Walter I don't think had ANY prior experience at all, and it showed. The second cleaner: Malinda just wasn't detail oriented enough for me; and my particular expectations of a "professional cleaner". Her enthusiasm was a bit "off" for my liking. Neither one of them payed attention to my "list", and Malinda didn't introduce herself when she walked into my home, nor did she say "bye" or "thank me" for my business ("errrrrr") ( until I initiated it as she was half way down the driveway) lol (I was prepared to tip her but it wasn't necessary) lol she mentioned that "no one would be able to clean my apartment to my standards, she said it in a sarcastic joking manner but couldn't say she was leaving and "thank you" for you business ...wow ! I will give HANDY one more try next month.... I'm not really anticipating the best lol
