Creative Ornament Candleholders

Triple-Ornament Candleholder


1.Refer to photo to lightly pencil in three different patterns on 4", 3" and 2-1/2" foam balls. When pleased with patterns, firmly score design lines into foam using a sharp pencil.

2.Gently but firmly press 4" ball against work surface to create slightly off-center, flattened base.

3.Insert wooden skewer into "top" of each ornament; ornament caps will hide holes made by skewers. Holding skewer, use a firm paintbrush to paint each ornament green and red; be sure red paint covers scored design lines. Place skewers in heavy glass or jar while paint dries.

4.Using a flat paintbrush, apply thin coat of glue over green areas of first ornament; sprinkle with green glitter. Gently press glitter into glue with fingertips. Place skewer in heavy glass or jar to dry. Apply green glitter to remaining ornaments; let dry.

5.Repeat Step 4 to glitter red areas of ornaments; let dry.

6.Remove skewers from ornaments. Glue and insert ornament caps into ornaments over holes.

7.Use glue gun to secure 4" ornament to center of disc. Cut a thin skewer to 9" long; firmly insert skewer straight through exact center of ornament down into base. Be sure skewer is absolutely straight.

8.Thread remaining ornaments onto skewer, with each ornament cap pointing in a slightly different direction. Dot hot glue between ornaments to secure. Let dry.

9.Glue and insert candle pick into center top of ornament stack. Let dry.
