ScryGlass MtG Scanner: Beta for Android
Really good, but has its flaws. Totally worth the purchase and is pretty amazing in how quickly it recognizes cards. Two main issues: Assigning the wrong set, and crashing on file export / corrupted export files. Quick example, in scanning 6 identical Hamletback Goliaths, it assigned M13, C15, M13, M13, LOR, C15. They were all LOR. That said this is close to the best way for a single person to reliably enter a large number of cards into a database... it just requires some cleanup and attention to detail.
I find the app very helpful, however cards from aether revolt did not seem to scan. Is there a problem on my end or is it still a little buggy for the newer cards? All in all a good purchase though
Awesome speedy way to scan cards to price check. May be a weird bug with my camera or the detecting algorithm with AER cards not being fledged out yet, but since elastic review the issue have fixed itself.
It's got a really bad problem picking up black mana cards. Other then that it's great.
Great app definitely worth the money. However are there updates coming for foil support and allow multiple lists? Love the different rarity beeps btw :)
Hard time with some sleeved cards. Frequently outs wrong set, but solid overall.
It scans my cards very fast and easy, I was able to scan my whole trade binder and then export it to PucaTrade no problem!
Great app love how easy and quick everything is. Would be amazing if it would combine duplicates other then that love it
Reads cards extremely well. I just wish I could tell it if a card was foil
Great app, just needs some tweaking on the card reading
Opened fine the first time and worked great until I tried to import into Echomtg. It crashed and I've been unable to get it to open again without crashing? Really like the functionality and if I can get it working I'll happily change my rating!
Even in Beta it's fairly impressive. I've been looking for this kind of app to catalog all my cards and this seems like the one. I ran some preliminary tests and it got the card names with 100% accuracy and it only missed one of the sets. That custom cURL advanced setting is pretty clever too ;)
I had a cube and 11 decks to list out.and this made it soo much more easy and ALOT less time . 5 star all the way
Does exactly what I need it to do. Its not perfect but ultimately will save you a ton of time. Worth the money.
Is there a way to load CSV files to edit a list?
Tried multiple scanners. This is the only one that works great! Can't wait to see improvements and a full release!
While I can scan most cards very quickly in and out of sleeves, or even on screens, I can't deny the aggravating lack of options. The sound can't be disabled, I can't remove specific cards or accidental duplicate scans from a list, I can only have one list. These are my biggest complaints, and they have a significant impact on the utility of this app. As of now, it works best as a simple price checker, but I wish you could effectively manage your entire deck. PS It doesn't like basic lands.
Absolutely the best app for scanning Magic cards! Nothing comes close. The only other app I've found that works well requires the user to preload a specific set in order to recognize a card. A pain in the ass when your cards are arranged by color, not by set. With Scryglass, just point your camera at the card and it finds the card without any user input. App is worth more than the price charged by the developer. Saved me hours compared to the next best competitor.
New Card Kingdom integration is amazing! I uploaded a sell order and it took me 1/10 of the time. It also let me dig through the bulk of my collection and just pull out what they were buying. The app would have paid for itself even without the extra credit for using it from Card Kingdom.
Doesn't have the ability to mark cards as foils or note their condition but scans pretty accurate once you figure out the distance and angle it prefers. Only real downside is you can't reliably export lists to deckbox or tapped out without manually opening the CSV file and correcting edition name for many of the sets. Not a big deal if you know how to use text editors but probably a deal breaker for the average user. Maybe add a feature where you can import store and aggregate your CSV files as collection??
After 20 minutes of trying to get the program to work i switched to delver lens which is free and worked instantly no hassel
I can scan cards but nothing happens. No prices show up, cards aren't tabulated, it's weird. Galaxy S7 Active, if that matters.
The scan Works great on Most cards, but it cannot scan any black cards and half of the multicoloured. And although it scans blue and red cards, they don't get added.....
I have an S6 edge. When I open the app, there is nothing displayed, as though my camera lens is covered
Works great just wish I could put the full list into a big list other than card kingdom. Like TCG or channel fireball or star city games
Worked fine previously but just gave it a go for the first time in a couple of months. Constant hanging camera, cards not adding to list after scanning. Not sure what happened.
I was able to scan my entire collection very quickly with this app!
I work at a card shop and this app is seriously a life saver!!!
What can i say...it scans fast and is accurate...
I hadn't looked at my cards in years- they had been raided over a decade ago for quick $$$. I figured they were gutted at the time. A coworker pointed me to this tool. Although there are a few cards it didn't recognize, otherwise it is awesome. I am about halfway through the collection and have found an $88 card and a bunch in the $10-29 range. Of course, just being able to catalog is a win in itself!
Works well and I could see stores utilizing this for keeping cards up to date. Would change to 5 stars if we could use more than just tcg player for prices. Maybe add in Starcity and Card kingdom! <3
Freaking awesome app! I use it every time I goto tony's card shop! Reliable and so useful!
The shame does not an option to click for foyles
I initially thought $5.50 was pretty expensive for an app, but considering the amount of time it has saved me, it's money well spent. Within a couple hours I was able to scan over 3100 cards out of my collection, export the list to a CSV file and upload it to deckbox. There was about half a dozen cards that I was completely unable to scan, and maybe 20-30 others that I had to fiddle with to get to scan correctly. It's seriously impressive how well this app works. A few things I'd like to see added would be the ability to grade the cards as they're scanned, as well as mark them as foil/signed/altered/etc. Also the ability to flip the app screen vertically would be great. Even without those features this app is an easy 5/5.
The basics work well so far, but I don't think the developer should be charging this much for the app given that it's still in beta and with some key features not working: 1) No foil vs. non-foil detection; 2) Can't detect black cards. I'll update more as I come across problems.
I hate it because there was not a undo button
Great app! Saves so much time!
Have had this since it was in private beta and it just keeps getting better and better! Perfect addition to any MTG collector's arsenal.
This app is worth the money. It made uploading incredibly easy and fast. Make sure you have a light, contrasting background. Currently does not identify foil and new promo cars, but that's a minor issue. If you're adding large numbers of cards to any electronic resource, this tool will be extremely useful.

This app is wonderful! It's extremely helpful for trades to be able to quickly scan cards to match value. This weekend is prerelease for Aether Revolt and to my surprise the database had already been updated to include it. While it's already a very solid product the developers are stll constantly working to improve functionality and actively reaching out to stores and players to get feedback for how to make it even better!
