Basically an app version of the Hachette guidebook (an excellent resource). A quality presentation of quality information. Major deficit: the app takes no advantage of electronic possibilities. No cross references, no active links, on pop up pictures, etc.

Hands down the best of it's kind for Android. A handy reference app for French wine aficionados and a very informative guide for enthusiasts. It is easy to get drunk on a good bottle of french wine or while visiting vineyards in France, but to get drunk and not know a thing about the type of grape, it's distinct notes or the terroir of what you have just consumed is not at all swell. A necessity indeed ! 1. This app can even go one step further by having a road map for travellers maybe incorporated into the area or appelation maps for travellers visiting vineyards in France. Even notable Chateaus to stay in and/or dine in, and wine and food pairings etc. 2. Having the Hatchette website in the app would be great.
