Gynoii Baby for Android
This app is extremely unreliable. Sometimes it works fine, most of the time it logs me out and won't let me log back in. It's a shame that I paid so much money for the monitor that is useless without the app to work it. This has been an ongoing issue for over a year now, I guess Gynoii does not care. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS ONE!! Don't waste your money!
This is the most unreliable app. It's main function us to allow you to see your child, but it is always cutting out, freezing, or the app is just not working at all for hours! I would never suggest this monitor because of this app. Also all the features NEVER work.
I wish I would've splurged for a brand that also offered an RF device. My camera goes offline half the time, which is caused by the camera not being in range of my WiFi signal
Such a shame to have such a buggy app for a camera with very good features. Disconnects too often in the background mode, which is not at all acceptable while sleeping in the middle of the night. Then at some point I had to reinstall the app because it wouldn't let me log in. Also, the delay of the feed can be over 30 seconds some times.
Constantly crashing and always having to reset the camera and/or WiFi connection for it. Camera feed goes offline at least 3-4 times a week. Music glitches a lot.
Crashes a lot. Audio "talk" function doesn't always work. So, don't always expect the child or person on the other end to hear you. Tip: If you can hear yourself (your echo), it's working. Of not, and you can only hear the person on the cam, it's not. You'll have to close the app and try again. If that doesn't work, you'll have to log off, close the app and start all over! When the app is working well, it's perfect! I just wouldn't rely on it in an emergency...
Ridiculous camera and app. The app crashes often and then you have to log back in. When you try to log in it will tell you that your username and/or password is incorrect. You can put your password in correctly 20 times and it will still tell you it is wrong. When you finally do get logged in the camera will be "offline". Big waste of money. There are better products on the market. I DO NOT recommend this camera and app. I wish I didn't have to give it one star.
I'm willing to leave a small margin or error to my ISP but that aside and you still have a buggy program where you can't get this thing to work consistently. Look at the camera wrong and your app won't work. Try traveling with this thing? Forget about it. We had so much trouble getting this hooked up when we traveled it was rendered useless. With out next kid we will buy a different brand.
The cameras and software have their issues, sure. But once you figure them out its pretty smooth. I would definitely recommend getting a $10 sound monitor to go with them tho. But for HD video and audio for only $65 is amazing. I have 2 cameras, love em.
It might as well be a standard audio baby monitor since you can never load the cameras on the app. The only device that it pulls up quickly for is the iPad. Android app sucks!!!!! The customer service isn't that great either
The camera works fine and the video is good. After the most recent update, however, the audio only works for about 5 minutes before cutting out and leaving only video. If this was fixed it would be worth the extra 2 stars. Thankfully we also have an old school audio monitor that still works.
There are a lot of features but the only one that matters--having constant access to camera feed--has frequent problems. Especially if there's an interruption of the power source or your phone switches from wifi to mobile data. A lot of frustration.
The video gets pixelated and unwatchable after about five seconds. I am forced to switch screens back and forth to check up on my baby. This has been an ongoing problem for a while now.
App is terrible. Camera works well but the android app let's it all down. Frequently the camera won't load and you must log out and sign back in to get it working again. Audio cuts out all the time, and the lullabies don't play or don't play smoothly. The worst app ever
The app keeps crashing, doesn't have access to all the features when it is working, the camera won't load and a reinstallation is required on a daily basis. Not good considering the cost of the camera
Camera needs to be restarted frequently. Password is reset but unable to log in. Confirmed credentials are entered correctly but cannot log into account.
It work ok for a while now I'm locked out and I can't use it. There is no way to update my password and overall it is crap. Do not fall for their crap mine is going in the trash
6th try for help. My camera won't reconnect. I've contacted customer support a couple times. They haven't responded. I've followed all the FAQ tip. Nothing works.
The "fix" did not fix the notification problem. Super frutrating. The video quality however is good when seeing if your baby is moving around.
This is unacceptable for a BABY MONITOR unless you don't care about your child. Reliability 1/5.
Just want the it to support split screen so I can still use my device while watching my child
Sometimes it crashes y must sign in again.

Won't let me log on
I've used on iOS and Android, and there are times when it won't pull up video or won't login or the guest account gets dropped. Most of the time it works well though. Love my gynoii camera
It constantly crashes, login is often impossible after a crash (nothing happens when you hit the log in in button) and despite strong fast Wi-Fi, it constantly loses the camera connection. How does this company stay in business?
All the pictures and examples show a color image. All I seem to get is a black and white picture. Does it shoot color? If so, how do you switch it over? If only black and white, I feel a little cheated? Can anyone help? Will gladly change to 4 or 5 starts if can get picture in color.
I was great for the first month or so, now the app says the camera is offline, and I tried resetting and a couple of other things to join avail.
Hardware negative is only one and it can be quickly fixed with software - whish it didn't require the bed to be sideways to it in order to make best use of the image. Software has many glitches - 1) it keeps logging me out 2) it keeps freezing on loading the image every time I leave the app and then want to come back 3) it keeps crashing all together 4) why is the sound/music so jumpy? (I have a pretty fast network connection, about 50mb up and 5mb down) 5) to fix rotation issue pls allow users to flip pic
This app is really buggy lately. It is constantly running in there background even if I close it. It makes my phone incredibly hot. The only way I can close the app is by going in the settings and force closing the app. It has also been running very slow and lags a lot. I had up to a 15 minute lag on the video. I have fast internet and it has been taking forever to load as well. Please update!
Just bought this baby camera - I liked it, it is relatively easy to set up; the video quality is good; the audio is ok, just a little too soft on the camera end when I attempt to talk through the app. I would give a 5 star if not for the fact that I can't seem to get the Guest Account to work. Turned it ON but there is no parameter for me to setup the guest account. Can a Gynoii Rep please help me with it?
Using Nexus 6P 12/01/2015 New update has fixed previous problems. New problem is occurring at the login page, where it is saying I am entering the wrong username and password, when I know they have been entered correctly. Update 2/1/16: All previous issues fixed. Camera is working great!
When I purchased this monitor it's says it worked with any phone, now talking with customer service they say, not Nexus 5 Android.
Easy to install and use. I especially love the Audio Only Mode. Everything works well, except for motion alerts. The sensitivity settings need to be worked on.
I sent a email about a issue I was having with the camera setup and the app. The tech department updated and fixed the app within 2hrs. THATS WHAT I CALL PLATINUM SERVICE!
So after 5 wifi monitors, I finally decided to keep the Gynoii pan/tilt camera. Unfortunately there is no other app to use but this one. Problem 1: slow reaction when you try to adjust the camera. Good luck if you need to rotate it more than 90degrees! So slow! Problem 2: hi def monitoring can be very painful. You can lose the signal really easy. And the video lag is crazy... a full 5 seconds minimum. Problem 3: Constant clicking. I'm not sure what is causing this but it's a bit annoying.
It's very simple and user friendly app. There are many cool features including time-lapse video with frame and music. . Audio Only Mode Custom Lullaby and White noise Two Walk Talks Day and Night Vision Snapshot and video recording Sound and Motion Alert Multiple Remote Viewers Setting up this smart baby monitor was super easy. All you do is plug the camera in, download the Gynoii Baby app, connect to your wifi and your good to go. There are easy to follow instructions that come inside the box or you can just follow the app which walks you right through everything. I had it set up in less than five minutes. I am very impressed with the video and sound quality of the baby monitor. I honestly didn't expect it to be as good as it is. You can hear clearly and see well even in the dark. I had fun playing with all the lullabies that are already downloaded on the app. You can also add your own music. One of the features that I really love the most on this monitor is the fact that you can set up multiple guest accounts. That means that grandparents or aunts and uncles that live far away can
I like this. It was easy to install, and it's easy to use.
I'm sure it'd be great if I could connect. I get to select wifi, put in my password, and then nothing happens

For 4 days now I haven't been able to use the monitor when I'm away from home. This needs to get fixed! Often times it gets stuck on the loading screen. There have been multiple nights where the app shuts down, and then I don't here my daughter crying when she wakes up. For at least a couple weeks I haven't received notifications on my Android app. They are however still showing on the iPad.
