Gyft - Mobile Gift Card Wallet

It is a very cool app. If the POS experience is made smoother it will be an ideal choice. Every time I use this app in pos I will end up wasting few more minutes as the scanning required additional authentication from pos supervisor. Another issue is with Amazon gift card. It is not reflecting the right balance. I forwarded a gift to another person without realizing that I already redeemed. It was an embarrassment :-(

Still deciding ... I need to process more transactions to determine how I will rate this app. I don't like that I don't receive points for adding and uploading all of my gift cards . And I my gift card total dollar value cannot be used to buy other gift cards. That is disappointing .

I need an app to track my unused cards. The first card I tried, it could not find a balance, even though I found a balance online. It would also not let me manually add a balance. This app is worthless for me.

I have a gift card that directed me to Gyft to check balance. No balance check on their website; they direct to the app. Open the app, no way to upload the card. No other balance checking facility. Complete fail on every job a gift card service could have.

DO NOT use this app with your Bitcoin !! They used to work, they don't anymore... Not sure if it is Gyft or Bitpay doing it but they will never allow your purchase to go through & then when refunding your Bitcoin, will send you much less than you gave them... A horrible service !!

Tried on numerous occasions to purchase gift cards through PayPal. Declined every single time. Customer service sends the same message that is on their FAQ page. Plus it doesn't reliably load gift card balances. What good is this app?

***Update 11/19/17 Broken again same problem as before -------------------------------- Has worked great, then I'm guessing it was updated and something has broke. Now I'm unable to add any new cards to my wallet. Get error message that card balance cannot be verified at this time and to try again later. I'm still able to use and update balances of cards already in my wallet. Please fix.

Worst app I have EVER downloaded. I received a gift card that didn't have the value on it or written anywhere. The old navy card said I could use this app to find out the balance- boy was it wrong! It kept saying the card didn't exist or the card number wasn't correct even though I checked it again and again and re-entered it 8 times! DON'T WASTE YOUR STORAGE SPACE! So now I get to drive 2 towns away to the store to find out the balance of the gift card. Thanks a lot you useless app!

This app used to work great. I do not know what happened. You can no longer put in a card that is not on the list, no longer updates balances & most of the time says "GYFT currently not working". Please fix, I really liked this app.

I was able to upload 3 gift cards to my wallet. After that, I got the message "Gyft is currently unavailable." Anytime I would try to use any feature of the app after that, the same message kept popping up. I tried force stopping, uninstalling, restarting phone, clearing cache, and clearing data. Nothing helped. The idea of this app is great, and it seems like other people get it to work, but unfortunately I did not.

Second time this app has lost all my data. I got the infamous "Gyft is currently unavailable" message after adding three new cards and then all my card info vanished. I give up on this app!!

Garbage app - cannot create account from app, locks account if you attempt to log in with app after creating account with browser, password reset doesn't work with Chrome mobile browser... Addendum, notified by gyft that account is permanently deleted for criticizing crappy app!

Hate it. I have to stop & calculate the update..used 3 different cards to make up total ..ugh! Please combine totals some how & update balances

This app used to be great. Now I keep getting a message, "Gyft is currently unavailable" whenever I try to load a new card for the past two days. Help!

It works well. No complaints so far. One card I purchased couldn't be processed immediately, but I'll give it time. EDIT: The card was processed within 24 hours, as they said it would.

I don't understand why it's so highly rated. Not a very smart app. After I installed, found out that it doesn't support all cards, Not only that, it doesn't automatically update balances for most of my cards. - even some popular ones like Starbucks and In-N-Out Hamburgers. Yep. For those that it doesn't update, it asks how much you spent on the last purchase, and then you have to calculate the difference manually and enter it in. If you don't do those calculations at the time of use, or misplace a receipt - you're screwed. Who wants that? Might as well just carry a pocket calculator and scratch paper to keep track. How lame.

Terrible I can't load cards on to it. It's always crashing don't use it. Better apps than this that will work.

Cool app. Would be better if all cards would update themselves so I don't manually have to. Hard to remember remaining balance.

Terrible. Worked great for 5 minutes. Seriously, 5 minutes. Now i just get an error "not working"

Declines purchase saying my bank requires further verification, yet the money was instantly approved on my bank's end. They don't know how to process payments. Stay away! Also no phone number for support!

Tried several times to purchase gift cards, and was declined for "security reasons". When I contacted them to find out what the reasons were, they claimed they didn't have access to that information, and referred me back to their equally-vague website. I wouldn't give this company the time of day. They just don't seem to be very customer-oriented.

Limited amount of card updated. Too few for me to use. Support was not helpful. Was much better 1.5 years ago

My cards wouldn't even upload the balance... Can't do much with that EDIT: I uploaded my egift cards from SWAGBUCKS and my old physical cards that had only a few bucks on them. It worked this time! Nice to have them all in one place, and I can even use up the last bit of my old ones. I did redeem my Target gift card at the store and it worked! One downfall is manually updating the balances.

I used and got 2 gift cards, then the app quite working. My screen turns white every time I go to payment. Please fix.

If it would actually update gift card amounts after use it would be perfect. I'm a little frustrated about that.

Worked insanely well with bit coin it had very little delay for processing I will use it in the futer

I have tried for two days to add a gc to this app, keeps saying Gyft is unavailable...what is the point?

Needs to be more intuitive. If I could scan the bar code of a gift card, and the info would be automatically generated, that would be perfect. And then I could present the barcode to be scanned at the store. And my balance should be automatically generated and updated. Manual input = automatic uninstall. Follow a similar path as stocard.

SORRY, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO CREATE A GYFT ACCOUNT. I am over the age limit and have never made a gyft account before...

No response from gyft when trying purchase gift card from Amazon. Their theft protection made it impossible for me to purchase gift cards. Emailed them with transaction I'd and contact information to try to verify my info.

You got my money out of my credit card as soon as I made the purchase...why don't you give me what I purchased. App sent me a message saying it's having trouble processing my card. Which is not true bcuz you guys got my money as soon as I purchased my gift card. I'm about to cancel this

App trys charging me 40.00 for a 25.00 gift card when paying with bitcoin. But i can buy the same card with my debit card for 25.00. This is poor business. If anything i should get a discount as bitcoin has literally went up 1700% in 2 months

Broken sign-up process and blocks every attempt to pay with Bitcoin for some reason. Still spams my phone with push notifications for deals I can't even use.

Useful, but not always easy. Verification, compatibility, and workaround issues have come up, but still less hassle than others.

It's nice having a place to store all my cards but having lots of problems with getting the balance on my card.

Freezes a LOT on my S8+, tried to use $100 gc in CVS but it keeps saying the number and pin are invalid. Really frustrating.

Buy a gyft card and they put you into security WITHOUT reason. I've even had my account for years. Decided to buy a Gyft card and can not believe such treatment. They will hold my money for 24 hours for "my security". Rot in cyber hell for all I care. Seriously. Please do. And I don't mean that emotionally by any means. I should sue you in small claims.

Bad IT WON'T LET ME GET THE DAM PLAY CARD

The only reason I downloaded this app was to buy gift cards with bitcoin. And you cannot do that..why else anyone else would need this app is beyond me. Seriously developers...get it together and figure it out...PayPal, a debit or credit card...so I have 1-2 forms of payment excepted payment just about everywhere...so why is this app needed again ?...bitcoin acceptance is needed !!!

Great app but make sure if you are using bitcoin to pre-purchase a set amount before heading to a store and buying there. Might take a while for to block to get confirmed.
