Cocktails Guru (Cocktail) App

Lots of great text info about each drink and comprehensive list of cocktails, but maybe too comprehensive. Feels like people just started making stuff up and called it a cocktail. Nice images but navigation scheme is probably too complicated.

I will uninstall this app immediately. It's attempt to integrate a cocktail making / bartending app into a your Facebook or Google account is lame. Ruins the whole user experience having to go back to a profile page and start all over.

Not tablet-friendly (portrait mode only). A stupidly large number of recipes, most of which are redundant or just uninteresting. Errors and misspellings are common. No attribution on the recipes, except for a few cases where the source is added to the name. No ability to show your list of favorites. You can see certain collections of recipes, but not indexed against your inventory of ingredients. And, while they seem to have collected recipes from every frat house around, you can't add your own.

Crashes a lot on S6, imposible to post a picture. Should be able to search by ingredients on favorites and add custom notes to cocktails.

HORRIBLE!!! Would not open even after giving Google ID....... kept on buffering for 30 mins..... tried to exit... says...." Keep patience! ....." !! Am uninstalling.....

I like this app, it moves quickly and smoothly, lots of drink options to add and choose from, easy to follow. I don't know if I missed something, but it would be nice to search for drinks based on an ingredient, but only including what's in your cabinet.

I love the breakdown and history of each drink, very well layout. For those moments when you just want to see it down they also have a link to videos that make this my go to app.

Plenty of classic recipes. All the really famous cocktails represented well with pictures and suggestions. However the less familiar cocktails don't get quite the same treatment just a basic recipe with no picture. Maybe these will be gradually added to in time. Altogether a good app.

Spent an hour entering the contents of our liquor cabinet into the app, only to find that it would not suggest drink recipes. USELESS! Alternatively, let me select an ingredient (such as whiskey) and show me what drinks I can make based on what other ingredients I have. DON'T SHOW ME A LIST OF DRINKS I CAN'T MAKE!

U WANTED AN INSTANT REVIEW- Well it would have been nice to actually use the app prior to having "rate this app" shoved down our throat. Downloaded only 2-3hrs ago & asked 2 review 4 times already! Hoping app improves & to NOW be able to actually see what the app is like without constant interruption... (Otherwise it's gonna take an age 2 get a drink... :)

I have only just started using the app. There are some weird pics - "Cream Liqueur" shows Cassis, "Dry Sherry" shows a Canadian medium dry sherry (whatever that means) and there are 2 different Butterscotch liqueurs one of which is just called "Butterscotch". The instructions for the French Rose cocktail read "shake veri well ... stain into a cocktail glass" which gives me little confidence about the rest of the site. It could be good, but first impressions are unfavourable.

I added several ingredients to "my bar" but still wasn't able to find any cocktails worth making. Many recipes only included 1 ingrediant....does that all count as a cocktail? Almost none of the drinks had pictures, and let's be honest...that's a big way in deciding if you want to make a drink! There were also a few liqueurs that weren't included in the my bar section.

App won't even get past front screen. Asks to login to your Google or Facebook account but neither work. Pointless requirement don't waste your time with this app.

Lots of recipes, but kinda hard to use. Would be nice to see recipe under the drink name and icon. It would save steps.

I've not put into practice but it's good reading, easy to find any cocktail I could think of and there's hundreds more. I really like this app.

Pretty good cocktails. Some recipes aren't on here or their different from other recipes but every bar has a special twist on beverages. Overall good app for when your in a jam.

Great app guys, almost perfect. Handy for beginner bartenders. That would be great if there was possibility to add your own cocktails to your library/favourite list. For example, some specific cocktails that are bar specific. 100%recommended!

I originally posted 3 stars for this app, but tech support did contact me trying help with my issues. Now, I happily give 4 stars. How to make it 5 star? 1.... Put a shopping cart icon on the main profile/menu screen. 2....make it so you can upload recipes. 3....add a notes/adjustment caption to the recipes, so user may make their own notations and adjustments...and save them!Good work guys! :)

The interface is fantastic and has great pictures. Some recipes are missing ingredients that are called out in the description. And when trying to submit a photo on my Galaxy S6 it crashes the app. And there should be an option to add ingredients. Would be useful for things like adding a 2:1 Simple Syrup (turbinado).

Really helpful app although some classic cocktails have diferrent base.. like alexander was suppose to be brandy but the base is gin so it got me a little confused... Not really an expert of bars but I worked previously as a bartender and some ingredients are different from where I have worked previously.. but cool app though :)

The app comes with a lot of wrong recipes, and you can't change them or add your in your own drinks. I like to make modifications to the classics that my guests prefer, but this app is useless for recording those. Use MyBar until this gets done. Some great ideas, but just not useful unless you only make their drinks. Well be epic once you can add your own drinks.

Haven't had app long enough to rate. Please give me time. But from what I've seen so far, it's wunderbär! The pictures gives me an idea of what each drink is consistantly look like.

This is almost a good app. Its usable, but many of the recipes are wrong. Many of the descriptions differ from the recipes as well. I have to double check usuing an alternative source much of the time, so then whats the point? It looks great and has potential as long as they keep updating it.

There aren't many 'plain' basic drink recipes. I wanted a regular martini. There were chocolate martinis, fruit martinis, pomegranate martinis, and much more. Yes, I want to try those, but not tonight. Finally, I put in 'gin martini' in the search and that led to one 'plain' recipe. I think this was a good one! We'll see if I can find basics.

Not only does it give you the recipes, but it will adjust according to the number of drinks you are making. It gives you the background information on the drink, a video of how to make it, and allows you to record your bar inventory and create a shopping list for your needs or party!!!!

Most complex bartending app I've seen. Breaks down drinks from where they come from and how they are made. Just wish the recipes told you ingredients by Oz as opposed to ml, but after a little practice the conversion is quite simple

Can't find it here? You don't need it! They have answers to questions you did not know you had. Way to go y'all

No ads (for now), lots of ingredients, and the ability to show you all the possible drinks you can make given what you have on hand. Very nice looking too!

Fantastic for a free app. Seems to have a good variety of cocktails, but it tries to do too much. It's trying to be facebook for cocktails, instead of just giving cocktail recipes. Too much clicking and hunting to find recipes.

It has a lot of interesting information that some of the other bar apps don't have. I haven't been behind a bar in a while due to my full time job. But, I do like to practice at home should the need ever arise.

One thing I think it's missing is the ability to sort by certain criteria. For example I would like to see a list of recommended cocktails I can make with the ingredients that I have and to be able to see that list aorted by ratings rather than A-Z.. I also wish it had less missing cocktail pictures but in ti.e I guess.. Other than that it seems pretty fine. Thanks :)

The app is fantastic, I just think managing the bar could be a little more streamlined. With all of the pictures in the list, it took me a while to set up my now extensive bar.

If you like me and one do not know names of drinks when you go out or level of alcohol in the drink this app will help a great deal.... Now if you also like me I love mixing and making drink for small little get together you throw here and there this app REALLY assist you with figuring out what to but how to mix and incorporate the coctail

Fantastic app when explorer new recipes, also adding pictures helps when you can see how others are presenting the drink. As a bartender this app is not essential but more a hobby facilitator which I love. I would love if the developers would add a section where we can add our own cocktails, build a database from that as I personally love to experiment and make cocktails inspired by renowned recipes I'd love to share this passion with others within an application dedicated to the art :)

I have yet to see all the features i have downloaded this app for! But still for months i haven't been able to login using google, it's stuck on Wellcome which by itself is misspelled by the way!

Well done app. A few mistakes in the recipes but I see they are correcting them with upgrades they do. Does everything I want.

This apps is the best I've been using. It gives right proportion in each cocktail and at the same time history of drinks which is very interesting and useful if you are bartender. Thanks a lot. Wish all luck!

Its great! Lots of info!!! Would b great if there was some kind of game or a fun way to learn the drinks better! Im training to workvin a bar and realy need to b able to learn our most popular drinks ASAP!!! Over all a good app!!!

I like it but it's lacking - I would suggest a tab that gives you suggested cocktails based on the ingredients you already have in "your bar".

Very good app, well-structured with information about each cocktail, the recipe and even a social part in whitch you can share cocktails you made. Very simple to use and very useful app, especially for people who want to have new cocktails ideas.
