Gumtree: Buy and Sell Locally

Love this app i have bought and sold many items and the pin point location is very useful . My only issue is the email response as there is a huge time delay in sending and recieving emails and its not the internet provider problem its gumtree sysem . But apart from that its the best selling app available

I like the directory. What I don't like about it is that sellers and especially businesses do not have a rating system, they have no reviews and their credibility is not checked by anyone even though business and services pay premium rates and our details are sold on to marketing companies. Even when reported to gumtree rogue traiders adds are still allowed to be reposted. For example running an illegal business fly tipping rubbish without question. Probably costing the tax payer £1000s a year or an unlicensed and uninsured man with a van able to undercut the legal companies :( reply: it's easy to say it's not my job to check when the customer trusts the Gumtree brand and does not know they have to or what they should be checking for...

Since the updated My Ads section, if I want to repost an expired ad Gumtree apply a charge to put the Ad to the top of search results (something which happens to new Ads anyway). Just means I've got to relist it manually.

Great app to easily move stuff into becoming someone else's clutter!

Quick and easy to use. Just as easy to post your own adverts and/or job offers etc...

the repost deleted or expired adds looked good but what they don't tell you is you have to pay,what a ridiculous idea,stopped using gumtree as of today

I never receive message notifications for my ads, unless i check the app constantly, potential buyers are getting delayed responses and are put off

It's is best app but only have one problem if you update your details it'don updated state away some reason thanks

Useful but have to get the operating system to shut it down because of excessive battery usage.

Gumtree is very easy to shopping and it gives you the avenue to see what you want buy before paying most times.

GumTree is great... the app, not so much! It needs some improvements. It keeps refreshing a lot so uses a lot of Wi-Fi/data, and this also takes a lot of time especially if you have many saved searches/favourites/messages. My phone has plenty of Ram (3GB) so it's not my phone, I'm guessing the app design is not good, it must be flushing data whilst changing views. They need to fix that.!

Great app, easy to use and good coverage. One suggestion for improvement would be the ability to make individual or all your ads at once inactive, to allow you to switch them off temporarily if you are not available. It round also mean you could Suspend an ad where a sale is agreed, and then easily reinstate it if the deal falls through. Currently you have to delete each ad and then recreate them from scratch if you want to reinstate it/them.

Good, but that suggestions kill the sort that the gumtree items are listed in. The search being a right side at the home page isn't the best, maybe have it at the top banner/ header. The post code search is useful, definitely add this feature to the website.

Use this app alot just one thing missing. Ability to block out certain adds. Nothing worse than seeing finance cars fill my feed when im browsing. So frustrating

Distance nearest first does not work just reloads as today's Adds!! Also if I type in honda cr250 it is a different listing to honda cr 250 even though they are the the same motorcycle....this needs rectifying gumtree!!

Good app. Only downside is the assholes who have nothing better to do with there time is to noise sellers up.. but what goes around comes around

Overall​, it's very nice, but it does have some operational issues. The interface is kinda laggy and the app tends to be slightly slow.

Great if you don't add phone number! Within half an hour of first ad going live with phone number I had 4 cold calls insurance, claims etc I've also received late night prank calls from weirdo's who think that's great entertainment. No longer put phone number on. Have way more spam emails but junk catches them so manageable. Have made some sales.

Easy layout, ads posted immediately after they're completed. Occasional hiccups with freezing but overall fantastic app and I have sold things through it...highly recommend :)
