Scribe Origins for Android
Few bugs present: 'car' must be different from 'mist', and 'cave' from a 'cover'... I think iOS app is better a little
Please include furigana in the app for Japanese like in the iOS version. Having to scroll down on the kanji card to see the reading makes it a highly inefficient studying tool for Japanese. As you haven't supported the android version of the app since 2013, I'm afraid that won't happen. A great app on iOS, shame you waste the potential in the android version.
I have a friend with iOS and he showed me this app, it was great looking and no problems. I end up paying a dollar for an app that isn't the same. Many of the characters are screwed up, especially radicals. For example: the radical for school shows up as an english "w" and the image is just a box showing that the character is missing. If this was fixed, it would definitely be a 5 star app.
I recently switched from an iPhone to an Android, and I was SO HAPPY to see this app in Google Play. The disappointment came when I saw it wasn't as good as the iOS version. The other version includes furigana readings of the kanji, which in my opinion are essential. I don't want to just understand/recognize the kanji; I want to pronounce them as well! Please, developers, PLEASE mirror the iOS version!!!! With that I would give it 5 stars without a doubt.
more errors than a politician's accountant. no furigana, so forget about learning on yomi and kun yomi. if not for these two problems it would be great, or at least comparitive to the ios version
Easy to remember.
Great app. Definitely worth the price. Presents extra info that I'm finding pretty useful. It has notes on some characters to note differences with characters that are almost identical. Also shows similar characters which helps in noting the differences between similar characters. There is a problem with the radicals animation. It doesn't work until you click in the comment box. You only have to do this on one character, to fix the rest. Despite this minor problem, it's still a five star app in my opinion.
This app is perfect for studying kanji. The only reason I don't rate it 5 stars is because of a few bugs, but nothing that breaks the app.
This looks like a great app, and I'm sure with just a little tweaking it would be. At least on my Galaxy S III Android, the characters displayed on the kanji's composite forms page all overlay each other in the center of the screen, rendering them illegible. Could you please fix this so smartphone users like myself can use this great-looking app? Excited to get started with it.
The style is perfect for tablet learning for Kanji. The landscape view needs work for large tablets like Sony Xperia Z (1920 * 1080 resolution).
Great IOS app; Android version has display issues: empty characters and boxes instead of Chinese characters. I also spotted content mistakes that the IOS version did not have.
