Talking Caller ID will speak the name or phone number of all your incoming calls and text messages.
This app speaks the name(if in contacts) or the phone number of incoming calls and SMS / text messages via Android's built-in Text to Speech (TTS) capabilities. If you have any difficulties please verify via the Android settings that your TTS is functional.

I will give it 5 stars if it covers following : 1. Instead of MUTING the volume it must be lowered for better performance. 2. After muting the volume it stops at least 2 to 3 seconds which is very annoying. This delay must be zero... 3. "Repeat the name" must have some pause in between... Works great for me.This is the best app out there for text to speech.The only problem I see is when you enable repeat,it will still say whos calling one last time when you answer a call.

SMS doesn't work on jelly bean. Test function too. Please fix it. Great app though.

Unless I missed something this app is broken. All other functions work except the "disable if silent" function for text msgs. When I place my phone on silent or vibrate thats what I expect, SILENCE! NOT INCOMING TEXT FROM......I WILL gladly rate higher when this issue is resolved.

Could be better..I would not like it talk when I select silent during an active call..I don't wish to hear the voice when I speak with someone..also on silent mode don't want the app to shout that incoming message from..works great otherwise

Speaks caller name clearly, for those that are on contact list, for non contacts, speaks individual digits. Unable to comment on other function as I only enabled for calls. No option for sound volume. Using note 3

OK app. I would pay for premium if: 1) when I connect my bluetooth headset it would disable all sound and vibration from the handset and announce ONLY thru the bluetooth. 2) when I disconnect the bluetooth the sound profile goes back to "normal". 3) it had the option to read the content of text messages. The other Talking Caller ID is almost there, but for some reason it does not play properly thru my headset.
