Light for Android
Unable to install the app. Google Play says the app is incompatible with my brand new Google Nexus 7 tablet. Interestingly enough it also says the app would load on a Nook Color with a N2A card. (my older device) which I don't use any more. I've loaded lots of apps over the past weeks but never ran across this problem. I'll send notes to Longwood and try to reach the author but I'm not hopeful about installing the app.
Great guide to a gorgeous display. I am a member and was able to preview the display and it all looks and works beautifully.
Garden wifi weak. App is fine
No crashes and location was right on. With the app I became the instant expert on the tour.
Stops unexpectedly.
Crashes constantly
I finally visited Longwood Gardens tonight and this installation is more stunning than anything I've seen in recent memory. No problems with the app. It turned out to be an excellent guide. Having a backlit map was invaluable as we browsed the installations.
This app requires 49MB!! To put that in perspective, Google Earth (the biggest app on my Droid) uses 24 MB while Angry Birds, the 2nd largest uses 17 MB. What is worse is that it apparently tries to install in the internal phone memory, rather than the larger SD memory. When I tried to install I got an Out Of Memory error. Not worth the effort.
Amazing tree houses u won't belive them until u see them!!
worked great at home, connection was a little spotty at the garden. very pretty and easy to use!
Nearly completed the exhibit before the app downloaded. Also it crashed often on the map.
I downloaded this over 3G at Longwood. It took almost 20 minutes. The visuals were pretty, but the rest, not so useful. There is a map, but the GPS plotting was uselessly inaccurate. Think of this as a so-so electronic advertisement instead of a useful app...

No issues with the App crashing, but the location services were, literally, all over the map. I couldn't use it to reliably navigate the garden in the dark. The App generally showed me at the very edge of the facility, when I was really in the center. It was a great idea, the App ran smoothly and has attractive graphics and interface. Unfortunately, it didn't serve the main purpose for me. Galaxy Nexus on Verizon.
