The Barnes Foundation for Android
This download to phone works terribly. I get about 30 seconds into a segment and it stops.
Doesn't contain information on much of the art, archaic, difficult to navigate. Only audio information, no textual information for those who don't want to wear headphones in the Barnes. Shame on the Barnes.
This app let's you gain such valuable insight in to this awesome collection of impressionist art by some of the true masters.
Does not continue playing while screen is off. Let down.

Very good app guide for the foundation collection
Audio guide tracks stop abruptly. Also, SCREEN LOCKS when in use, causing the audio to stop and restart. Could fix that with installation permissions.
This is a fine app if you are planning a trip to the collection and don't know much about art and art history. However if you are not going to be standing in front of the paintings anytime soon, it leaves much to be desired. The commentary is rather elementary but my biggest complaint is that you are not able to zoom into the pieces to get a better look.
The app should not pause audio if the screen turns off or rotates. It should also hold your place I can different audio files.
Kudos to the Barnes in Philadelphia for going the app route for their audio tours. The ability to have the images and audio means this works not only in the museum itself, but also before or after your visit. Commentary from a variety of experts, mostly on specific works but also on groups displayed together. Hopefully will be updated with additional content in future versions. Biggest irritation for me we that the audio stopped if I changed the orientation of the phone, which meant I had to hold it in front of me whenever I was listening. This should be an easy fix - music apps don't do this. Also had to go into settings to extend time phone display was powered on, because that also stopped the audio. Big waste of battery to keep the display on while you are looking at the walls! Tips for your visit: Free wi-fi in the galleries. You can rent an Ipod Touch w/ this guide for $5 at the Barnes.
Screen off kills the app (not helpful if you are trying to conserve your battery to see all of the collection), some of the tap for more items did not work, and a number of the talks cut off just before they were quite done.
Bug #1: the app stops when the phone display blanks. This means you must increase the display timeout to more than # minutes in order for the phone's natural functioning to not interfere with the audio. The app is unpleasant to use because of this. Frankly the Barnes Foundation should not have signed off on the developer's bill with a usability bug everyone encounters within the first audio segment uncorrected. 2: the buttons don't work. Fix these and you have a good app.
Crashed several times. Audio would stop every time the phone screen went black. The "tap for more" option only worked occasionally.
The audio guide files never downloaded. Surprisingly, the introductory video did. It would be a nice guided auduo tour if it worked fully.
Unfortunately too little of collection chosen for audio presentation. Most of Pieces chosen were not particularly all that interesting . Need to restrict phone app to Barnes only. It was too easy to accidentally escape to other apps. A few changes would make this app very good
Incessant force closes; "tap for more" doesn't work; screen off kills app. If you go to the Barnes, get the ipod tour. This is an annoying distraction when you're in the presence of such great art.
Always shutting off. Freezes, and auto closes. Android razr maxx 4.0
The android app version does not work, neither the tour or the map feature. And I made sure to use it on Wifi.
The application crashes quite frequently, pauses when the screen goes to sleep and simply does not work.
This "tour" is very helpful before, during and after your visit to the Barnes. I learned about it a little too late to use it while there, but it's still good for review. I didn't see mention of the app on their website. Maybe i missed it.
Audio stops every time the screen turns off on galaxy nexus with jelly bean. Very annoying.
Crashed a lot , need to add a permission to control wake on phone and room 9 items caused fc's
The new Barnes is wonderful! This guide is the AV tour you get inside w/o standing in line.
Amazing App!
When the phone goes to sleep, playback stops and is restarted when you return to the app.
Great fantastic experience. Near exact replica of the original foundation!!!
Well done.

The Barnes Foundation app is fantastic in my opinion. There is an abundance of videos that provides information about the various artworks featured at the Barnes Foundation, which is beneficial to anyone that is interested in art, but rarely has the time to visit a museum.
