Welcome to Guide Mario kart 8 Deluxe: believe that there are many, the game is not so good at explaining what its statistics mean, and more importantly how it affects your odds of victory.

Fortunately, we're here to help you understand everything. Each character shares statistics with at least one another, so we group them together in a handy table for you. Here's what every stat does:
Speed: Sufficiently clear, the higher your speed, the faster you will go
Acceleration: The higher your stat acceleration, the faster you reach your highest speed
Weight: The weight of the vehicle and your racer determine whether you will disappoint someone, or get knocked out when you hit another racer.
Handling: This stat determines how sharply you can turn around. You will drift and the angle is better with this stat.
Traction / Grip: This causes your kart to move faster on the sand and snow, and slips slightly over the ice.
Each stat can have a minimum value of 0.75 and a maximum of 5.75. To calculate your final stats you will take your character base stats, then add the value of each section you have chosen to generate your totals. The surface you pass will also affect your character statistics. Underwater race increases your speed by 0.25 points and lowers your handling by 0.5 points, while racing in the air increases your speed by 0.5 points. When you are in the anti-gravity section of the track, you will lose 0.25 points to your speed stat.
The undeniable, then, is that everyone 'the best' will be different. We'll give you some context in each section, but what works for you will depend heavily on your style of play.
